Danae found herself a little startled. It was Rude's voice.. She felt upset, hearing it without the image.
"R-Rude..?" She said in a very soft, almost inaudible voice.

She quickly glanced back over to the goons. Her voice was easily drowned out by Loz's snoring.

"Kid?" He all but cried out, he looked over at Reno and the red-head merely snuffled and turned over.
"How are you? WHERE are you?" Rude asked hurriedly, not knowing how long they had before she would get cut...though...the snoring did make him wonder.

(*chokes* HAIRBAWL! >>; )

Danae found herself cry out a gentle laugh. Poor Rude. Poor Reno.. Poor Loz and Yazoo for being so clueless.
"I'm fine, Rude.." She said softly. "And.. where I am isn't important. I'm with Loz, and Yazoo.." Yes. Somewhere amidst all of Loz's babbling, he'd mentioned their names.

She tried her very hardest not to cry.. She really did.

"Can.. Can I please talk to Reno..?"

((HO NOEZ! *heimlich to the rescue!*))

"Like hell it is!" Rude hissed.
"Do you know how worried we all are!? Reno especially..." His voice softened and he sighed relieved.
"But..at least you're alive." He looked over and saw the snuffling and snorting TURK laying there and he grinned, why not? Danae just gave him reason to enjoy waking Reno.
"Alright." He said gently.
"I'll get him." He lay the phone down gently and walked over, leaned down and only had to say four words before Reno shot up, wide-eyed and bushy tailed.
"Danae's on the phone."

"DANAE!" Reno cried happily.
"Where are you, HOW are you!?" Did those two questions mean so much? To a broken-hearted puppet it did.

(*dies*)

Danae giggled quietly, and a few tears slid their way down her face. She completely ignored his first question.
"I'm fine.." She said softly, looking up, to hearing Loz snort a bit in his sleep. "I'm fine..." But if anything, she was worried about Reno.
"But Reno, I wanted to tell you goodbye.. I just didn't have time before..."
She wiped at her face a bit, and then slid onto the floor.
"Reno.. I just want you to know I love you, okay.."

((*Streetcar named Desire moment* DIIIIIIICCCCCEEEEEEE!!!! *ish rained on*))

Reno's heart skipped a beat or two.
"Thank goodness for that much I was--Wait...." He stopped, his heart stopping with him.
"W-what do you mean....'goodbye'? Danae..." He couldn't breathe.
"Danae...what's going on...." He shook his head.
"I love you too...but...but....why the sudden...'farewell'?"

(WTF? XD)

Danae found herself crying a bit more. She hadn't even oticed the abrupt stop of the snoring.
"Reno.. I can't have you getting hurt.. I won't... And if me dying saves you, then... " So be it.

"Hey," said Loz, staring down on her. "Who're you talkin too?"
Danae only gasped, and stared up in horror.

Loz sort of yawned, and then reached a hand down. "Gimme the phone.." He told her, rubbing his head with his other hand.

"No.." She whispered up to him.

"Aww, come on!" He whined, practically smashing her to the floor. And with that, anyone could hear Danae's struggle, and the grunts of the two of them. "Gimme!" Loz cried like a two year old, as Danae successfully hit him in the head. Hard.

((HAve you not seen that old movie clip where the guy falls out in the rain screaming "STELLAAAA!!!!" That's what I'm talkin' bout. Gomen, though last one))

"BUT I DON'T WANT YOU TO DIE!" Reno cried.
"THAT'S WHAT I'M SUPPOSED TO DO!! I'M SUPPPOSED TO DIE PROTECTING YOU!!!"
"DANAE!!" Reno cried hearing the scuffle.
"DANAE! TALK TO ME!!"

Danae cringed at his voice, and Loz stopped fighting with her, seeing the odd expression on her face.
"No, Reno.." She cried slightly.

And of all of the things for Loz to do.. He just sort of watched her. He looked like he was interested in what was happening.

"I'm not going to let that happen.. I can't... I won't let you... And what happened to your promise..?" She laughed slightly, wiping at her eyes more.

Loz's legs were in a circle around her, and he sort of watched, blinking.

"Are you just gonna go and break that? No.."

Loz was the dumbest, most curious wonder in the world... He was cocking his head to the side.

((WAH! Yous changed your hair!))

Reno sighed and let his head hang.
"You're right....I can't break the one promise I made to you...." He jerked his gaze away from the floor and set his brow in a determined frown.
"But what about you?! I can't just leave you alone right now! And what was all that racket a minute ago?"

(WAHHYESSTABSSSS!)

Turning to face Loz, Danae yelped to see him so close.
"Just the ape."

"Ape!?" Loz cried in a loud voice. "Do I look like an ape to you!?"

"Reno, I'm okay... I promise... These three, or two, right now, haven't done anything but sleep, and then talk, a lot."

Meanwhile, Loz was moping about being an ape, and then finally, Yazoo woke up.
"Who is she talking to, Loz?" He asked in a bored sort of voice.
"I dunno, Brother--"

"Kay Reno, gotta go, bye!"

She hung up before either of them could make too much of a fuss about it. At least, not anymore than they already had..

Reno shook his head.
"I'm not leaving you al--" There was a click and then the dial-tone.
"Rude...."
"Uh-huh."
"She just hung up on me..." He stared at the phone in his head fervently wishing he could transport himself through telephone wires.

(Me too. x_____x I'ma eat something. XD)

Loz and Yazoo, were arguing about something again. All she knew, was that she heard the word 'ape', pop up at least three times.
Sighing, she walked back over to the couch, sat as far from Yazoo as possible, and then curled up into a little ball. She couldn't help it...
She hated this feeling.

Slump
"Reno.."
"Don't.." came the harsh bark.
"Just....just don't, alright."
"Alright." Rude sighed and shook his head. This wasn't a good sign...Reno being anything other than obnoxious was never a good sign.
"But I did warn you didn't I? About getting mixed up with her?"
"I know...I know..." He waved the larger of the two on, and hung the phone up, stretching his arm up so that he wouldn't have to move.
He looked over and saw a ratchet, Reno picked it up and hefted a few times in his hands...then threw it...damn it all he hated feeling helpless. He listened to the clang against the other wall and Rude just turned and headed back for the main buliding, there was nothing he could really do when his partner got like this, except for let him deal with it.

(It's funny. I eat like a horse, and only weigh 115. O____o)

Sighing, Danae was about ready to leave... "How much longer do I have to wait?" She asked them.
They both ceased arguing, and then shrugged.
"Days," they said in unison.

"DAYS!?" She cried. "NO. I am leaving, take me out of here!"

They both began to laugh.

"Look, I'll come find you again.. I'm just not going to sit here for a few days while whoever and their mom decides to come and get me."

They sort of sighed. They knew she'd come back. Especially Loz.

Twenty minutes later, and she'd been dropped off a few dozen yards away from home-sweet-hell.
Danae began walking, with a sigh. Now, there was a problem. Getting away, to go back.

(ANDYESIHASAPLOT!!)

Sometime between feeling like a failure and cursing the dent he'd made in the wall, Reno had fallen asleep again...leaning against the front wheel of the motorcycle he'd worked on, a wrench in his hand.
Rude looked him over from the door and sighed.
"See?"
"Yes....it's certainly not like him, I'll give you that." Teseng rubbed his temple and groaned.
"Leave him for now...there's really nothing that we can do...best just to forget about Danae and go back about our business...which is what we should have been doing in the first place." He turned and headed back, leaving Rude and Reno there.
"Yeah....I guess so."

Stepping into the garage, Danae sighed, but suddenly heard snoring.. Walking a bit further in, she smiled to see Reno, passed out on a bike.
Sneaking up behind him, she wrapped her arms around his waist, and held him tightly. "Wake up sleepy head," she chimed, giggling slightly.

If she only knew the way Rude and Tseng felt about her...

Reno grumbled about 'five more minutes' but obediantly blinked..opening his eyes thinking Teseng was there and about to yell about the bike being left out all night. He turned around and smiled sleepily.
"ohaiDanae." He mumbled, turning back around to go back to sleep.

"DANAE!" Reno's eyes shot open and he whirled around to stare her in the face.
"Holycrapwherewereyouiwassoworrieddoyourealizehowl ongyou'vebeengoneI'makeeljuuformakin'meworryliketh at!" Whatever she could make out of all that would have been quickly forgotten as he leapt to his feet , grabbing her up in a tight hug.

Danae, sadly enough, caught most of what he'd said. It was just a lot of words, and a lot of run on's. But she didn't care.
"Hi," she giggled, wrapping her arms around him.
"I take it that you missed me, huh?" She asked.

What had it been..? Like, a night? She wondered..
But either way, she was just as happy to see Reno, as apparently, he was her.

"Miss you? Miss you!? You're crazy.." Sarcasm was such a wonderful thing. Nevertheless....Reno's grip never faltered. He'd been so worried about where she'd gotten to, that it never occured to him that she might need to breathe.

Smiling slightly, Danae closed her eyes. And literally seconds later, she began to cough.
"Can't....breathe....RENO....!?" Her face was even changing colors. Oh dear..

"Hmm?" wait...why was Danae..
"Oh...OHCRAP!" Reno let go of her hasitly and patted her back gently.
"Are you alright?" Oh yeah...how nice considering the fact that he'd almost killed her with his love....how would the trio take that? Danae killed by hugs......Reno's life and afterlife couldn't satiate their revenge.

Danae sort of panted for air, and then, leaned against Reno.
"I'm fine.. And you're lucky I don't have asthma." If she did, she'd be dead by now.
Some many traumatic experiences...

So much running, and being choked, and running, and screaming, and crying..

He smiled and nodded.
"Yeah..I guess so."
He looked down at himself, covered in grease and oil, and sighed.
"So much for being presentable when you came back." He sighed.
"Where were you anyway, do you realize how worried I was when I came back and you weren't there anymore!? You nearly gave me a heart attack, and what was with the phone call out of the blue?"

Danae, at this point, didn't care about how Reno looked. He was still Reno.
"The phone call, was because Loz and Yazoo were sleeping. I got bored, and I found a phone book, and phone, and called. I wanted to tell you goodbye.. because I didn't think I'd see you again..."
She looked down.
