Tears welled up in her eyes.
"You wouldn't miss me, Rude.. Tseng would probably be glad to get rid of me.. Elena might miss me, but chances are, she won't be around enough to care. Reno is just an entirely different category..."

Rude sighed, and then set his hand on top of Danae's head.
"Can you really say that?" He asked quietly.
"Can you really? After seeing how Teseng agreed to let you stay here, even though it went against everything he thinks, how Elena let you slink out in the middle of the night to sleep with Reno? And how Reno worried himself sick over wondering where you were and if you were alright? He slept out in the Garage you know."

"Yes I can.." She said, now, as usual, crying.
"Sleeping in the garage doesn't mean he was worried. He called me an idiot about ten seconds after seeing me.."
And that wasn't very nice. She just got back too! Not cool!

Batting away Rude's hand, she crossed her arms, and managed to wipe her eyes.

"That's how he is." Rude said with a shrug.
"He's just relieved to see you back....isnt' that right Reno?" Rude looked over and Reno's shoulder jerked a little from around the corner.
"Oh, ah....hi?" He said stepping out intot he open.

Danae was just getting more upset. She didn't even attempt to look at him. She didn't want to. Und rememburr, she wath en idiyot.
She merely closed her eyes harder, and wiped her eyes. She was beginning to think, that maybe... maybe this was one, big mistake. Oh no...

"You should know it's not nice to eavsdrop." Rude chided.
"I know...I....I know.." Reno replied quietly.
"But....I...I just wanted to..." He sighed and ran a hand through his hair, looking at the floor.
"Alright, alright...I'm going.." Rude nodded and looked over his shoulder at Danae.
"Cut him some slack at least." He pleaded jokingly.
"You have to remember, this numbnut has no tact."

Danae shook her head. "I can't.... I can't do this anymore, Rude..." What was she saying now?
"I'm... I never thought I'd say this, but.... I'm through with the Turks..." Wait, what?
"I'm done with Reno...."

And oddly enough, she was serious. She wasn't just going off on some guilt trip or something... She was doing it for real.
"I'm.... I'm going to leave him...." She said softly.

Rude stopped in the hall and turned around.
"Wha..." Reno's hand fell from his head and his face snapped up.
"You're...wha...." He just stood there...like an idiot..He finally stood, although a little crooked, and he nodded.
"Alright...I guess....I-I mean...." He turned away.
"What have we ever done for you? We took you away from your home...got you shot at....heh...and hell, we even played mind games with you...you should leave..." He pulled himself up straight and sniffed, running his finger under his nose, his face covered in an odd smile.
"I'm sure you can do better without us tailing along after all..I mean, we're nothing but trouble."

She just cried more... What more could she say..?
"Bye Rude..." She said softly, sort of stumbling.
"Tell Tseng that the monster is gone..."

Moving off as fast as she could, which wasn't very fast, Danae was trying to find Reno. She didn't know what to say, or what he was going to do..
But she would find a way.. She was through with all of them...

Spotting that hair at the garage, she took a deep breath, only to cough it out.
"Reno.." She began. "I need to talk to you..."

"He's gunna miss you too kid." Was all that Rude could bring himself to say.

"He's not here." Elena stood just inside the door putting tools away in their proper place.
"Sempai's such an idiot..he leaves everything lying around where someone could trip on them."

Danae looked down. "Where did he go...?" She asked her simply, in a sort of annoyed voice.
She didn't care about being nice to these people anymore. She was through with them.
"I need to talk to him."

Elena shrugged.
"I just got back...I haven't seen him...he was still asleep there..." She pointed over to the bike lying on it's side gutted.
"When I came in here this morning...so I assumed he'd still be here...." She looked down at the table and sighed.
"You're going again aren't you?" She asked softly.

She looked down. "I'm leaving him..."
She felt so terrible... Because she knew she loved him.
But the more she said it, it began to sound easier, better... More accomplish-able.
More alright.
"I just can't take all of this anymore...."

Elena looked over at her, her eyes narrowed.
"Then why did you come back? Just to tell him that?" She walked up to Danae and stared her straight in the face.
"What a gutless little person you are. You get scared once and suddenly your ready to drop the ball? Let me tell you something the game doesn't stop just because you get knocked down. That's not how we play, and that's certainly not how Sempai plays." She walked past her out into the open.
"You think about that for a while." She said over her shoulder.

Okay, no. Danae wasn't about to just take that...
"Excuse me!?" She snapped. "Knocked down? I've been trampled over, Elena. I didn't sign up to be shot, kidnapped, chased after, held captive, or any of this bull! I wasn't meant to be here, nor did I want to be. I'm not a Turk, Elena. I don't fight people, and get shot at! I am a normal, everyday human! I'm not some agent! I'm not some stupid little girl! I've gone through more in the past however long, than most people, and I mean about 99.9 percent, of all people do in their lives! I wasn't cut out for this! So don't you dare get up the nerve to come up to me, and yell at me about my problems, and my life! Do you hear me!? No one asked for your input!"

Danae had snapped.. clearly, and yelling was great.. That was a rant worth a lifetime. She needed to find Reno, and get this over.. Now.

Elena turned around, smiling.
"Good, you've still got some fight left in you." She pointed to her ear.
"For a moment there, I thought you were just going to roll over and die on us." Little sneak had been listening on Rude's channel..he'd still had his earpiece in, so the whole converstation had been broadcast to everyone who had a mind to listen.
"It's true that you aren't a TURK, but by no means are you a 'normal' human, 'normal' humans don't have Avatars chasing after them." She stood halfway turned around, and looked up.
"What good would it do you to die now anyway?" She asked the air.
"The dead change nothing....if there's something you don't like about your life...then your going to have to live to change it." She looked back and reached into her overcoat.
"Here." She tossed Danae her pistol.
"Even if it's not much...you can do something with this...and by the way things look....you're going to need it."

Danae tossed the gun aside, and shook her head.
She was through! She wasn't going to be sucked in by this nonsense.. And if Elena didn't want to let her be, then she would just leave, and never come back.

Pushing past Elena, Danae began down the hallway, trying to find Reno. And then, there he was.. Or at least, the back of him.
"Reno.." She said softly. She had a feeling that he'd heard everything.. And that was everything....

Reno turned at hearing his name and stood.
"Ohai." He said running his finger under his nose again.
"I..got your stuff out of the Med wing...figured you'd want to take them with you...that's why you came back right? You missed your suitcases."

"Reno.." She said softly. Well, he knew, apparently. "You don't understand..." She added.
But what was there to understand, really? She was basically, screwing him over, for everything..
"I just..."
God... She was such a bitch.

"I...I get it." He said with a sad smile.
"We started this whole mess...what with trying to keep you safe and all...we took you from your home and turned you into a comfortable prisoner." He nodded.
"Why wouldn't you want to wash your hands of us." He smiled and stuck out his hand.
"Well....here's good luck to you....no matter what you do." He sighed and looked over to the side.
"Just...don't forget about us, alright?"

"Reno.." She looked down.
She was the very seed of evil! She was!

Wrapping herself around Reno's waist, she gripped him tightly, and cried. This wasn't just breaking up, this was killing herself..
This was taking everything away, and she knew it.
"I love you," she cried to him. There wasn't any hesitation to say otherwise..
She always would, and she knew it.
"I'm sorry.." She told him.

Reno stood there and let her cry, laying his hand on her shoulders.
"I...I know that...but..you'd better get going...staying here isn't going to do either of us any good when you already told them that you'd be going back....I...I don't want to keep you here if that's really what you want to do."

She didn't want to leave. Nope. But she was going to have to in order to make some sort of progress...
"I don't want to go..." Sure as hell not now!
She would much rather just stay put.

Reno sighed.
"You promised them didn't you? They'll come looking for you if you don't go...." He smiled though and cupped her chin in his hands.
"Unless you'd rather me go with you?"

Danae's face seemed to light up dramatically. But the only thing was, she didn't want him to get hurt.
"But what if they attack you again?" She asked.
"I don't wanna risk you getting hurt.."

She looked back down, with the sadness returning.
