I hate my Chinese teacher (at school)! >o< Basically all she does is write names on the board of people who she thinks are misbehaving (even if they've got a legitimate reason, she refuses to hear it) and repeat the same lesson for three weeks! And recently she's given us a project (she emailed it to us over the holidays) which we have heard absolutely nothing about beforehand! Ever!
Apart from that, there's just the Year Level Coordinator but since I see so little of her I don't really care =]

Maybe you hate your English teacher because you don't seem to have a grip on english yourself.

Probably my old English teacher.
She can't speak English properly and for some reason always says "Isn't it?" at the end of every sentence she speaks.
I wouldn't go so far as to say I hate her though.
She was actually quite nice.
I just think she'd be better suited teaching a different subject, y'know?
I've got a new teacher now, we've got two separate English classes so my old teacher teaches the other class.

Mr. Benfield. :x
Reasons are a tad personal, but he was the one who ultimately made me stop coming to high school all together.
Plus, he was a shitty teacher anyway. He talked on the phone like ALL the time and all he had us do was read out of the textbook in what should have been a hands-on class. If something needed explaining, he left the responsibility up to one of the senior students. Lame. >:/

My sacurity gaurd [sp] and my old math and english teachers.
The first one sent a hole class down. It wasn't even her class!
The english teachers. First one also sent a hole class to ISD (worse then detention) She was also to old to be teaching.
The second is way to hard in grading. Its like death to you if you have her in an uper grade. I, along with more then half the class, failed.
Kitami: My class system is build for groups. You have to ask your group for help, never the teacher. What are we paying them for?

I usually love foreign teachers, they're very worldly and can teach you a lot about their culture. They also don't take as much crap from their students. I had a really cool older guy for regional studies, he was a tad paranoid and made us bring our state IDs to take his tests, but he was hillarious.
Least favorite teacher... hmmm...
I had this snoozer for English 102. She was one of those people who would tell you that it was ok to discuss your personal interpretations of literature. What she actually meant was, "so that I can tell you why they're wrong and mine are right." Even though most of her interpretations were just as groundless as ours.

There was a teacher in middle school that I just could not stand. He was always making stupid jokes and thought they were the funniest thing in the world.
We had our falling out one day when I wasn't feeling well and he was giving me b.s. I said I wasn't feeling well and wanted to go to the nurse. He asked what was wrong and I told him I felt like I was going to vomit. So he responded, "Well, shouldn't I just send you to the bathroom then?" and he'd laugh. We had this conversation for a good five minutes before I got pissed off and went back to my desk. I just didn't have the patience or energy to play his game; I was not feeling well and he was being a jerk. He did let me go after all but told me that I needed to change my attitude. I believe it was a mutual dislike after that, and neither of us really tried to hide it.
He then tried to get me into trouble a few years later, telling another teacher that I went off school grounds that morning. My friend and I had gone to the gate to wait for another friend, but hadn't gone out. I'm not sure if he was mad that the other teacher believed me over him, but I don't care.

I had one too. She was an old lady who had brain surgery.
She was really old. She had a protruding mole on her neck that drew attention, and she would spit when she talked. The worst part though was that she had fecal stains on her pants... Every day.
Once there was a corn stuck to it. Once she spit a corn on my desk. DDDDD: GROSS!
I had her after lunch too, so she was always fresh when it came to being dirty. :(

I used to hate my English teacher for one reason.
She bullied this shy girl every single time I was working with her, claiming that she was speaking too loud when I was.
Luckily I'm not in school anymore, nor she is.
She was a nice girl though, and I have no clear idea of why she had picked her.

I didn't say anything about an English teacher, so please refrain from saying 'all' unless all of us said it.
I've never had an English teacher that I didn't like. But then again, my favorite subject has always been English, so... ;-;

Mine was my fourth grade teacher. She was horrible. She would try to paddle us all the time for no reason. She would tell us stories to scare us like if you lied the ground would open up right on the spot and swallow you whole. She would smack class mates right across the face or pick them up by the ear. I know this is not allowed. The students told the parents and our parents went down there but nothing got done until school ended that year she was fired. But it is a little too late by then.

I had Mr. Helwig for Physics my junior year in highschool and I HATED that class. He lived up to the "hel" in his name. Seriously - he wouldn't teach...AT ALL...he would expect you to know everything and anything. He was horrible at pronunciations. He would call "Eclipses" "Ellipses." And he wouldn't believe us when we said that Ellipse was a term used to describe an oval in math and Eclipse was the lunar/sun thing!
We would ask him to sign a paper for a field trip or something (most teachers would look at it, sign it, hand it back). He had to "process" it before signing it and that took TWO WEEKS! I was like "WTF!!!! I need to turn this in tomorrow and you still haven't signed it!"
This one time he gave us three different packets on information. He said we had to take notes from it and turn the notes in. The first two I got 20/30 points and I was like "you're joking..." because I had taken extensive notes. The third one I got 15/30 so I finally asked, "Why do I keep getting such low grades?" and he was like "because I'm grading it competitively" and I was like "huh?" and he was like "you didn't write as many pages as someone else" and I was like "So because I didn't write as many pages of notes as some other person I get half credit?! You're RIDICULOUS!!!" and I refused to listen to him for the rest of the period. I mean, honestly - if he was going to pull crap like that he should have told us. AND I write super small AND in the side marigins to save paper. This other girl in my class who got the 30/30 wrote about 5 words per line in super big handwriting - so of course she was going to have more pages than me. I was pissed. and because of it - I ended up ith an 89 and he wouldn't raise my grade to an A. I was so mad.

Oh my, where to start...
I have had several teachers that I have hated. Sometimes I wonder how certain people get their jobs and keep them.
Well, there was a my 4th grade teacher, whom I fortunately do not remember that much, but I know that she was terrible and was even rude to my mother and grandmother ( I think, they would help with the class occasionally, but I may be wrong...)
My 7th grade teacher. She was just awful to the students. 8th grade was not that bad, but I will say that the teacher everyone hated the most, I liked. Mrs. Smith was my English and History teacher. Some friends I might up with remember her and how much they disliked her.
Now, more recent teachers from my high school. My Spanish and History teacher. Ms. Borough was my Spanish teacher in 9th grade. Ugh, she was awful. I learned nothing that year. She would teach us the words, the verb formats, and everything else that would help make a sentence, but she never taught us how structure a sentence, which would then be on our test. Apparently her experience with the Spanish language is spending two or three months in Brazil or one of those countries.
My history teacher, well, he just ruined history for a long time for me. The one year I finally got to do World History, he was incredibly boring, he did not care if we got that the average on the test scores were low, and he would always tell us that he did not want the job and would rather be out fishing or riding his bicycle...
Fortunately, my first year at college has been decent. I have only had one teacher that I did not like and dropped the class because of her. It was for a Drawing I class and she was not even teaching us the basic skills needed for drawing...
Anyway, that's my story. Sorry it is so long, but I felt the need to rant...

xxxdarkmissyxxx: Definitely. If teachers were all about the education then I would have no problem with school. But up till college, the environment is basically like they are there to baby-sit you and not just teach.
The funny thing is I want to become a teacher myself, as my career. I love kids and when I had to volunteer for my Senior high school project, I went to a school near me and spent a week helping out the Kindergarten grade. They were so adorable!
But the teacher was not that great...

she's can be really chill, though. like, she doesn't give you detentions if you skip or anything. hell, you don't even get in trouble. that's why whenever i skip, it's that class.

I've had a couple of really bad teachers:
-2nd grade: Most of the class was extremely rude to/bullied 2 kids(I was one of them) and she didn't do a damn thing about it. Instead, she was nice to the kids who were doing the bullying and avoided the kids who were being bullied.
-9th grade biology: This lady was crazy! She would get so off topic every day. One time she was descibing a sandwich she ate for 5 minutes (I timed her). Another time she asked anyone who was a vegetarian to raise their hands. I was the only one so I raised my hand and she started going off on me about how I eat plants and how do I know that they don't feel pain? Direct quote: "An onion cries when you chop it up". What a fucking moron. What I wanted to say was "A plant doesn't have a central nervous system, so it can't feel pain. I assumed a biology teacher would know that." But instead I just sat there with an appalled look on my face.
-College Algebra: Ugh! By far the worst teacher I've ever had. He had this better than thou attitude all the time (one of his favorite things to say was "some people like to do it this way ________! and then laugh at how stupid people can be).
I got the first quiz back and had done really poorly. I looked around and noticed that every one else around me had too, so I raised my hand and asked if he curved the grades. He said "surrounding yourselves with idiots will not get you a good grade in this class". Calling the whole class stupid when he could have just said no! I should have just walked out then.
I went up after class because I had done a problem a different way then he wanted me to because that's how I was taught before...but the different way always gets you the same answer and I'd gotten the correct answer and gotten marked off. He was very condescending to me and basically called me stupid. I did walk out then and transferred to a different class. I'm bad at math, but it doesn't help me to have teachers call me a moron instead of helping me.

I can't say I've had any teachers I really hated, but there were some that I did not particularly like. For example, there was this Physics teacher I had with a worse-than-normal ability to make people fall asleep - she once made a girl fall asleep while giving her one-on-one help!
