Hello there Menewsha, I'm brand new and this is my first post. I'm active on Gaiaonline and some other forums.

So please let me know if there's any advice you would give a brand newbie.

I'm a bit confused about their being no place to spam, like a "chatterbox" equivalent, for people who just want to earn gold. Do you guys like this aspect of the site, or wish there was a place to spam?

xD I do am Active on gaia but I really only go on there to check my profile for comments. =) No sure of any other places like this XD. Same this place kinda confuses me too O.o. >>

I like that there isn't a place to spam, but at the same time I wish there was one. I find it hard to just jump into threads on sites like this and Zantarni. It seems like a lot of people give their two cents and leave. No one sticks around for a conversation or even bothers to answer questions. I still love Mene though. The avatars are the cutest and the people seem to be really nice. ^_^

I too am from Gaia.
A large number of the Menewsha community seems to be from Gaia.
I think it is sort of a good idea to not allow spamming.
I mean, it gives you a more of a reason to get involved with conversations.

I see what you mean about that, but I am concerned that there aren't more ways to earn gold. Not everyone is very conversational, you know. Some are shy, and prefer to lurk, play games, chat with their friends over private messages, and only post when they want to talk about specific topics. Personally, I'm kind of a wallflower.

I understand.
That is how I was on Gaia for the first few months.
But, just like Gaia, all sites need a while for getting things up and running and getting new things.
I am sure even Gaia started out with a lot less than they had. ^_^

Half of me enjoys the fact that there's no can-'o-spam forum. In doing so you're kind of forced into having real discussions and really adding to topics. However, the other half of me wishes there was a chatterbox. D: My primary nature is that of a shy and quiet lurker, so getting used to all of this actual talking stuff is a big change. And I've found striking up a conversation to be a bit tough... probably out of my lack of attempts though. Ah well. = u=

Yeah, you and I are pretty much in the same boat. But it's ok to be shy, I think that sometimes it's a filter. People who really want to get to know you will take the extra time.

Losts of us came from gaia. Most people here like the lack of spam. I find I need to ask people to post in my threads because they need boosting. Try chatting with someone in the Menewsha Nations subforum if you are in need of gold.

Like I said, I don't much enjoy chatting for chatting's sake. I like to have a few friends, and do most of my conversing through PM's and in one or two threads.

I'm shy, I don't like to "dive in." I like having a few friends and keeping contact with them. This makes me concerned about my future with this site. I am really questioning whether or not I will enjoy it at all, since the only way to earn gold is to pound the threads with posts, and I really don't have a big desire to do so.

I get the idea that this particular site wants to stay small, and have a population that consists of posters who are bright, literate, outgoing, conformist, and like to post a lot. Am I right? Because other than being bright and literate, that isn't me at all.

As nice as making gold is, I like the fact that there's no chatterbox. That place drives me insane on Gaia o.e
I think spam brings every site down a notch D8;

Wow! With all the other Gaians around, I'm surprised there isn't a Menewsha guild on Gaia! Although, I suppose that would be a little redundant, since people can just come and post here.
