The rest of our tutors have masters xD But he was accepted because he worked at the museum for years, and years. Plus he photographed, a lot of works and put them into catalogue systems, and books, and he restored historical photographs and stuff.

Yeah tutors can be so greedy for us. You actually have to argue and stick up for the
right to do what you want. It is sickening, the tutor i was talking about above is the
only one who just leaves students to do what they want. The main tutor who oversees
me this year, is a painter. So of course she wants us to do paint (and i HATE paint)

She doesn't considering graphics, or photography to be legit forms of art LOL *kicks her*

Jitsumi:. Haha, I'm sure I'll be a bit more reserved with color than some. I could never really afford to buy traditional tools before, so I never got to experiment much. This time around I bought them because I had to XD Hopefully it goes well. I've already gotten some painting done with gouache, so I'm a bit used to it, and I've used pastels before, but not oil pastels. We'll just see how that goes XD

What the hell is wrong with her? If the academies of art around the world recognize those as an art form, then she should too. Have you talked to the higher-ups in the school? Is she allowed to hold you guys back like that?

Ohh no, the guy with no masters is the best tutor of the lot ^^. He doesn't get in and block off our creativity or ideas, or anything. He'll only give us pointers and stuff, and whether we choose to accept them or not is our own decision. He's really cool.

For some reason everybody knows that it is an issue with this one particular woman, that she has far too much say in peoples work. I don't know why nothing has been done about it. But so many times she's influenced students to change their work, and at the end of the year when they mount exhibitions they just don't like their work. So i'm determined not to let it happen to me >.<;;

She just thinks she's too important to be left out.

so the dean knows already too? cause most of the time the dean of that department in the uni can do something about it? i had a stupid english teacher that failed a few of my essays just because she was a retarded cow and thought my subject was... well she didnt like it AFTER she had already approved it and approved both previous 2 copies.

Really she was just a moron... i guess my paper topic just hit a personal nerve and she tried to fail me, with 0 mistakes on the paper... i had SO many people proof it >.>;; when i asked her why there was a big fat F on it.. she was all "well i dont like the subject" - you approved it last week, and the week before- "well i changed my mind" -without informing me? aside from the topic.. nothing else is wrong? the format? grammer? spelling?- "no thats all good"

myeh honestly i dont know why she was trying to pull such crap on me and another girl in the class... she was one of those teachers that lieks starting a lot of debates in the class, so this other girl and myself would always pick a side and start debating against each other. the only two people wide awake at the 8 am class... and then she tries to fail us *waves vaguely* makes you wonder.

I guess she hates being wrong no matter what side she's taking ._.

Or she doesn't like feeling threatened by students who seem like they could go against her authority. Or both?

lol i wasnt TRYING to go against her authority lol... or at least thats not how i meant to come off.. i love literature and wanted to try and draw other people into it as well and GIVE me their reasons on why they liked it when i hated it so much and stuff like that. i dont mind constructive criticism or hearing out another persons point of view.. but at some point the teacher has to realize when she asks us to write an OPINION paper she cant fail us for a difference in opinion from her?

though she had JUST become a teacher so maybe she was testing her boundries?

Wow. How can you fail someone based on opinion when you ASK for it. We write opinion papers often in my class, and I've never failed a single one, even though sometimes the teacher has never heard the issue I'm talking about. As long as I defend it properly, I get a good grade.

Wooow, that really is a cow tutor!! sounds like your tutor, and mine must be relatives >: / RARRR. That is disgusting behavious! So much for marking without biased grounds. I have gotten straight A+s for the last two years on my course right, get the cow tutor - she gives me a C - and then discusses that my ideas are great blahblah, but my writing is sheite.

Then she goes and says... Ohh i marked you a lot harder than i should have. I'm also taking you to writing therapy next year. I look at all my other grades for writing papers - i'm like... what the hell is going on?? Took my papers to heaps of other tutors, and they said they were great. *shrug*

But thanks to her i lost my scholarship so >.>.... *bites her face off*
