IMPORTANT EDIT: I just got my hair cut today! It turned out so great, and I love it! =3 Here's a picture of it!

http://s14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...=Picture26.jpg

So I'll be getting my hair cut either tomorrow or sometime after that. I'm scared D: I haven't had a haircut since June.

And even then, I hated how it turned out. I don't think I've ever had a haircut I'm satisfied with. EVER. I like what it grows INTO, a long mess. That's about it. But I want something I can get it cut into that I like.

I like my hair rather long. And it's getting a bit too long now. Here's a picture of what it looks like as of now (Excuse my ugliness, please.) http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...15/Picture.jpg

That's what it looks like now. I don't know *how* I want it cut. I've been thinking of getting it cut like this http://madisonrainaudowens.com/yahoo...104421_std.jpg

Y'know, with bangs. But...I don't know :/ I'm sure that would turn out horribly. I'm just at a loss as to how to get my hair cut. Someone suggested bangs...But I don't know D: I'm just so fed up with not having a haircut I like.

So if anyone has advice, please give it. Also, I'm not sure if this go in Life Issues or not. Hair hardly seems like a life issue in my opinion, I usually reserve the LI for serious issues, so...This is going to the GD unless a mod thinks otherwise.

I think that would be a good look but I think your hair would have to be a longer to achieve that look. So if you want that style then, wait a few weeks/month so you hair can grow

or

just go with a shorter hair style

http://readyeddiego.com/gallery/male...r_coloured.gif

I think that could work, maybe not the color but the style.

or any of these:

(not the buzzed one)

I hope that helps some :D

I know looking for a new style can be harder, I'm going through it myself lol

Woah, some of those are pretty...Intense looking XD I'm not really going for short, though :/ And I actually think my hair's long enough. The picture I took just makes it look shorter, I think. My bangs are past my chin. I don't know, though :/

Hair is such a pain *faints exasperatedly*

Lol I know whatcha mean, I've been fighting with mine for over 2 months now. Everything I think I got how it I want it, I find something wrong with it. I feel bad, my friend is always coming over to "fix" my hair for me. The last time he cut my hair, he took a good 4 inches off and did a reverse layer to and gave me swoop bangs, It great... but now I want the back of my hair shorter than the front and more of pointie /emo bangs than swoopie. lol He luffs me though, I send a lot business his way XD

Oh, you're so lucky!

I mean, you get yours for free! (I assume) I have to pay for something I don't like! >_>

Yeah, it cost me a beer lol but hey I'm not complain', it would suck to pay for something I don't like, be there to many times lol

Well I'm sure you'll find someone who knows what they're doing, or at least acts like lol, don't you hate that? When you go to someone and they act like they have some idea but really have none?

oohh that burns me >:/

Oh, yeah. I hate that.

And it's pretty scary, 'cause we're going to someone who's kind of...Not trendy, I guess I could say. I think she once tried to get my mom to get a Hillary Clinton haircut, or something.
Yeah. I'm not excited about going to her. I just don't think older ladies have a sense of teenage trends >:

That haircut is atrocious. xD
DON'T YOU DARE. Dx

I don't know if you LIKE those kind of styles of hair but I think emo hairstyle might look good.

But I guess that just means bangs. xD

yeah, thats kinda scary. Why go to her then, if you don't mind me asking.

As for people who don't know what their doing "oops" is the last thing you wanna hear when your in the chair. Once I heard "oops" went home and showered to find a good 5 inches missing when I said 2 inches, but I have done up so I had no idea till I took it down. I was so pissed, my hair at that point was passed my butt and then after that, was at my hips....

Star: I didn't think it was *that* bad XD It's not exactly what I want, though. Which is why I'm getting advice. I don't want emo, either :/ I've tried. It turned out icky. Very icky.

Divine: And we're going there because...Well, my mom. I don't know, though...We just are? It's pretty cheap there, compared to other places. I'll see if we can go somewhere else, though. I really am not looking forward to going to the older lady's place.

And yeah. 'Oops' is very terrifying to hear. It's like 'Omfg what'd you just do?!'. And then they try to contain themselves and say 'nothing, nothing. it's fine!'. Yeah, I hate that. *shudder* I hope that doesn't happen.

My advice to you is to stay away from the feathered cut you linked to, because it might widen your face. You can bring out your best, I think, with a layered sloping cut, longer in the front, short in back. This is very face-slimming for those of us with a few extra pounds, it's attractive, and it's also very easy to take care of.

Good luck!

Well heres hoppin' she does something trendy for ya. -crosses fingers- oh bring her a ref. pic?

As for the oops, yeah I thought I heard but she was still smiling so I thought nothing of it. Now that look back on it, I wish I would have asked. But oh well, I know better for next time, if theres a next time. Luckily theres over 10 hair shops in town and theres always other cities lol

Peacemaker: I do believe I've had something similar to that. My last haircut had it shorter in the back and longer in the front. It turned out hoooorribly Dx

Divine: Yeah, I'm hoping too, thanks x-x I just do not trust older people. I'd trust a young person fresh out of hair school than an older person.
Okay, maybe that's a little exaggerating. But still x-x I'm seriously thinking of just going short, y'know? I mean, less hassle. But I've had short before when I was younger. It just...Doesn't go with my big ol' round face. .-.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that! Wish I could be of more help.

Here's a thought--try growing it out?

Edit: I totally know what you're saying, I have a very round face too, and a similar style to the one I recommended for you really worked for me. The difference is my hair is naturally curly. (Like, ringlets curly)

It's already pretty long. People tell me it looks pretty bad and that I need a haircut, so I'm trying to do that. I like it like it is, but...I also want to change it. So maybe I will go short, as much as it scares me to think about .-. I haven't had it short in...Years. Probably since I was 10? I dunno.

*Rocks back and forth*

yeah? I know what you mean, I use to hair to my knees. I finally cut it shorter just before my 20th b-day and just a few months ago, up to my shoulders. Its such a difference and I'm lovin' it lol

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...Prom_036bj.jpg

way back in the day before I cut it, like 2 years before I cut it.

Holy Pie your hair was long O: How did it feel having such long hair, and then having it cut so short?

D'you guys think a short style would work at all on me? I mean, I really like the different ways you can style shorter hair, but I just don't feel that short hair looks good on me, that's why I don't cut my hair short.
There's also the fact, y'know, that I can't feel my hair when I shake my head, which is a feeling that takes a lot of getting used to XD

I just really hate how girly that hairstyle is. Dx
-super slow to reply-

I dunno' what to say, really. When I go to get my haircut I pull one of their books into my lap and say "give me that one." It only ever worked out very well once. xD

Have you considered maybe just getting it layered?

Edit: Really, there's no harm in trying a shorter haircut. If you don't like it it'll always grow back out.

It was heavy, a pain in the ass, but now its light (still thick) and easier to manage. People like the shorted hair on me and say it made me look thinner.
So that was cool.

I think you may like a shorter style, or keep it long until you can pull it back into a low ponytail?

Star: Looking at a book for me isn't that easy. It's all girl styles >_> There's hardly ever any guys styles. And I know that style looks girly x-x I just was out of ideas.

Right now I'm trying to decide whether I want to go for a layered look, or just try a short style for the first time in a long time.

I dunno. You guys help me decide: Short style, or layered? X-x I'm kind of leaning on short.

I think you could go for a short style. You could try a layered shorter style.

And like I said - if you don't like it, it'll grow back out. xD

I'm...Gonna try short .-. I'm scaaared though D: Very scared. Like, my hair's been growing for almost a year. And...I don't know D: I'm gonna go for a short style though. Yep. No backing out. Nope. Not backing out at all. *whistles* I'M SCARED X-X

I'm not scared about actually getting it cut. I'm really not. I'm only scared because of my FACE. Like, I want it to look good, but...i don't want my face to look all weird and even rounder. Gah. Do I make sense? :/
