So yes. I decided that I'm done with this place. I'm sooo insanely sick of it here. It doesn't even make sense. But that's not what this is about, but it does explain WHY I'm bitching;

new software

The 'beta' testers? No. They're not beta testers. They're staff ass kissers. The staff are only gaining more pride in what measly amount of work they actually do here. The only people picked had a shiny record, and the only thing said by them is "THIS IS AMAZING!", whether they actually think so or not. Say I asked a simple question like.."Howcome my dashboard doesn't line up with the blue bar like it should?" The answer I'd get? "DA NEW SOFTWEARZ IZ COMIN' SEWNNN!!!!!!!!11!!!1eleventy seven1!111!" The new damned 'software' is just mere frickin' coding done by Ken, I believe? This won't solve even half of the problems that this site currently possesses. We were supposed to get this like what, 2 weeks to a month ago? Well I don't see any damn updates yet. I don't care if certain people were picked to beta test. Everybody that works for this site should've kept their mouthes shut about it so people wouldn't be jumping out of their skin for it.

boring; lame games; refunds

The GD has pretty much gone to hell. That was like my home forum before this place went to the dogs. There are no good topics ANYWHERE to post in. Like at all. It's boring. The games; the lottery isn't even really a game, blackjack has been down since..it was put up pretty much, fishing jips you of gold after a while, cards makes you LOSE gold, Descender does nothing. All of these games are completely boring. This site has virtually nothing to do, and I'm going to be blunt. Kinsaki is even better than this. and that site is brand spankin' new. Yeah, I'll probably go over there once I finally finish with this. Journals are another thing that have been gone for ages and ages. Why even have them, at this point?

galy; menewsha wonder

She should never have been banned. This is another thing that makes me hate this site. There are rules that users should abide by. She abided by them, as far as I can see. Yet she got banned ANYWAYS? Pfffttt. I think this makes people even afraid to post as much as they used to. Afraid they're going to get banned for even abiding by the rules. This situation (if it wasn't for the lovely Dare. ;D) would've been just said, and done with and nobody would've heard anything more about it.

staff

I'd rather be given a warning by a 40 year old than an 18 year old who's full of themselves with their modship. (no, that was not directed at anybody specific at all. Just what I have to say.)

traitors

Yep. A lot of people went over to Kinsaki once it was announced here. How do you like THEM apples? Roliana is newer. A lot newer. Their layout is attactive, their games LOOK fun, and not only do they look it, they ARE fun. Big difference from here. They're blatantly ahead of Menewsha in every way. When they promise something, they get it without delay or work extremely hard on it.

So, flame me. This is site feedback, you know.

I couldn't agree with you more. Brilliantly put. I have given up on trying to post any feedback these days, so I'm glad someone else is.

Let me just add to your thoughts about the beta testers. IT'S A COMPLETE FUCKING JOKE. People who would have given honest feedback, regardless if it was positive or negative, should have been chosen. Not the ones who are going to be like, "omg u so good u wurk hard u r brilliant". And, not the ones who suck the staffs dick every chance they get.

EDIT - Another site that has been gradually taking members from here is Avaricia. And they're about two weeks old, too. luls

Oh, also. Wasn't the software going to be here like... on March 10th or some shit?    - And don't tell me there were too many bugs or some shit. It shouldn't have even been annoucned if it wasn't a SET date. /: - VERY PROFESSIONAL

Way to lose another member of your site, Menewsha. You're doing GREAT!

I am sorry, but you guys are acting like pretentious twits. If you have read the various posts on the matter, then you would see there is a LOT of stuff included in the software updated to will cover a WIDE variety of issues on the site. If you feel like bitching about such a subject, go to Gaia. Because you know what, the staff at Menewsha work a lot harder than they do there.

Oh boo hoo. So there isn't a ton of games to play. Be happy that there are even games! Do you have any idea how much work is put into coding and compiling a game? And do you know how horrid it feels for a handful of users to exploit it and ruin it for everyone? Think about that before you start nagging about how there are so few.

It is not your decision to pass judgment over a user and their status on this site. Guess what, the staff felt that she deserved to be banned, and that is THEIR decision. There is a lot that happens behind the scenes. You think that galy is telling you the whole truth? I beg to differ. People "forget" incidents whenever they want, especially if it will help their case.

In summary, shut up, sit down. Or, be constructive and explain RATIONAL and LOGICAL explanations for what you feel are issues on the site. Provide suggestions that you think will IMPROVE these issues. Or, leave. Because frankly, if you think you know best, then fine. Why don't you start a site and make it to your liking, and see how ungrateful people are for all the hard work you put into the site.

I don't care what you think I'm acting like. I don't have the mind of a 4 year old. I've never asked for a site that has exactly what I want to do and exactly who I want to talk to. no. I'm bluntly stating that this site has problems and plenty of them that not even Master Chief could fix. I could name 10 people that agree with everything I've said in that post. Menewsha is biting off more than their big mouthes can chew. Nothing should've been said about that damned 'software'. Then nobody would be going rabid and pushing Ken to get this done. It's the staff's fault for this. And there's nobody to blame.

As far as I'm concerned, the staff didn't like galy at all, but that doesn't mean she violated rules and deserved to be banned.

Well I am sorry too, because you are acting like an ignorant twit. Obviously there is a lot that goes into making a software change, I know that. But it shouldn't be announced to be released on a set date if it really isn't going to be. I don't really understand your comment about gaia? And how the HELL would you know which staff works harder. I personally would say gaia's. They've got 100,000 people on at any given time. These days there is rarely even a hundred active here.

Oh boo hoo? YOU'RE KIDDING RIGHT??!!! This is just a joke, right? THIS IS A FUCKING AVATAR SITE. There needs to be things to keep the userbase interested. Not having games will play a big role in Mene's downfall. And stop acting like we're fucking dumb. I know that making games takes a lot of work. But they have been down for months.

I'll just act like you didn't mention galy. Because you will lose this argument about anything involving her, and I know WAY more than you think I do. What makes you think the staff is telling the truth?!?!? HUHHH. I "beg to differ" that they are not. luls

SO, IN SUMMARY, you shut up. :D You be constructive. Your post had no feedback whatsoever in it. Scribble me Orange did give feedback. You didn't. I don't need someone to tell me to leave either - because I am already in the process.

I'll give you the short answers.

1. The new software does fixed most of the bugs here. I'm only one person and can only do so much at a time. It would take longer for me to fix the bugs on the current software then it would to just release the new software. People are just going to have to wait.

2. The beta testers are not kissing the staffs ass or brown nosing or w/e you want to claim. We have a total of 15-20 beta testers who range from older members, brand new members and a few in between. I'm sorry if you feel some resentment that you weren't picked. You've made it clear that you hate this place and are leaving, so I guess we made the right choice by not picking you.

3. It's not your place to deiced who deserves a ban and who doesn't. You don't know the full story and you don't know how many times we have let her get away with things. It's unfortunate, but life goes on. (this better not turn into a galy thread)

4. Sorry that some staff are older and younger then you. Can't do anything about that.

You made it clear that you don't like this place and you've made it clear that you're leaving. I'm sorry to hear that and I hope you would reconsider in the future. Although that is your choice and I respect it. Have fun in your adventures.

The staff has been working on this update for months, they haven't just been sitting there. Ken has been coding his ass off trying to make everything smooth. Jelly and Juru have been helping Ken with fixing major glitches and helping out best they can. The developers have made a ton of art available for the new software, new art is almost on every page of the new software. On top of art, the pixelists have been pixeling a store update with more than 500 items as Tre said in the Community Discussion.

New games are available as well, on top of that a whole new "arcade" system has been added to manage high scores and help users around the at the games. These games will give off gold and are very addictive in my opinion.

It's hard picking staff members on this staff whom are of older age because mostly young users are using this site. Jelly and Juru most likely look at the warning logs to see that everything has been dealt with fairly.

The beta testers aren't ass kissers towards the staff, they were chosen because of activity and helpfulness around the site. I know you're probably going to say that those people are the ass kissers, but really it just says they care for a site and want to make it better....

My facts are straight. This is what I think of this place. It's not a matter of who decides who gets banned, Ken, it's a matter of contradicting the site's rules. Whether you own it or not, if you're contradicting your own rules, it's a damned conspiracy. So don't try to hide it. And it won't turn into a galy thread; these are simply my views on bannings. I do not plan to let my argument die.

I don't care how 'hard' people seem or claim to be working. Nobody knows exactly how hard they ARE working. And from what it seems? not very. I can't care what people think of me for this, it simply doesn't matter.

I don't care what is in this mere coding that shall be added when people feel fit.

I don't care who's older or who's younger than me, I feel that the younger staff is, the more immature things can get. If I was picked, I'd have been brutally honest and your pride probably would've been hurt.

Wow, harsh..

But you're fully entitled to your opinions

Anyway, I'm not here to argue with you, just to cover a few points.

1. The beta testers were picked for diversity, some "oldbies" and some very new to cover that aspect. Some who tend to stay in certain areas, such as the exchange or the art forums. Some who are very active, some who are not so, and so on.

To try and get a nice wide range of opinions.

I for one picked a lot of people that I've never ever interacted with, so I don't know what sort of feedback they're likely to give. but I can tell you that people are giving honest feedback. We are insisting apon it.

Beta testing essentially isn't about feedback, it's about testing, full stop. We need more people in the test forum at once because we can't find all the faults ourselves. It's really nothing to do with wanting people who are going to rave about how amazing everything is, but all about finding what is and isn't working properly.

2. I'm afraid there's not much that we, as staff, can do about what people choose to talk about in the GD. If there's no good topics anywhere, create some yourself maybe?
Lots more games are on the way, 5 new ones once we've switched and more to come, and all the current ones will be fixed once any bugs with the new software are ironed out.
There's a shiny new blog system for people to use too.

3. You're fully intitled to your personal opinion on the galy situation, but you saying that " There are rules that users should abide by. She abided by them, as far as I can see. " As far as you can see..
Like I said, you're intitled to your opinion, but when you're not in possession of all the facts, it's an unfair way to judge us.

4. I'm sorry if you feel that some of our staff are "full of themselves"
The majority are in their 20's and upwards, I myself am 36, not many of us are actually that young if you feel that being cautioned by someone who is maybe younger than you is belittling.
But it's not always easy to judge tone in a PM, sometimes a polite and professional manner can be misconstued as being spoken down to by the person on the receiving end, but it's certainly never intentional.

4. There's room for all of us in the avatar site marketplace.
The majority of people belong to more than one site,
and any new site that opens up is going to draw users from its Rivals, that's only to be expected.

Kinsaki and Avaricia have gained a nice amount of new members over the past couple of weeks, and we wish them luck, we don't begrudge their existence or anything. The same goes for Roliana and Zantarni.

But we too have been "working extremely hard on something" as everyone will be finding out shortly!

So, thank you for your feedback, and I'm sorry that you feel so strongly about things on here that you are compelled to leave, but we can't please everyone.
no matter how hard we try.

1. It shouldn't have been announced to be released two weeks ago if it wasn't going too. And the users DON'T CARE HOW HARD THE STAFF WORKS. [which appears to be very little] THEY JUST WANT SHIT DONE. Also, you should tell a few staffers in particular to stop complaining about their work. They don't have to stay.

2. Ask around, many will think that's exactly what they are.

3. "You let her off". Which is exactly our point. She had almost nothing counted against her. So she shouldn't have been banned. :D - And once again it's the whole, "do not mention galy" attitude. IMO, you guys just know it was wrong.

You say the staff has appeared to be working very little, how do you know? The screen shots tell a lot, and once the software switch comes you'll see, but you're entitled to your opinions.

Some things on the software still need tweaked. It's almost done, as far as the staff has stated. By the beta testing being opened, it tells you that everything is almost here.

Beta testers, I don't care if you've never said anything to them before, but actually, they're just sucking up to staff entirely. There's nothing more to be said. nothing old, nothing new. There isn't really a lot to be said about that other than the bluntness of: staff enjoys asskissing. and believe me. They must be getting a loooooot of enjoyment, and their asses must be red.

This site DOES need to make money in some way to keep running. If you're losing users to other sites that are flat out anything better than Menewsha, what good is having it open? Hmmmm?

I'll judge what I want. I know plenty about all of this. It doesn't seem like very much is being done about anything here. There are problems that everybody can see, since they're just lying there like a dead bird on a windshield. You can't hide it. Yet you won't admit to it either. Staff IS full of themselves. So they have a colored name and the ability to warn people. Without the colored name, I could've given you 3 warnings and 'pretend-banned' you by now.

Yes, I said that. Congrats on being able to read! The screen shots do not give the users ANY immediate results. It shows what has been being worked on. But the site remains the same; inactive, with no games & nothing to do. Screenshots will not make a random newbie stay an extra week. :D

You have a very good point, about the users not wanting to stay on. There's not much the staff can do that they aren't already doing.

I'll be truthful and state that I did wander off to another avatar site in the past few weeks because Menewsha was getting old. I gave suggestions, and became friends with the people in the community. Then I came to Menewsha just to check with some things and found that the testing was open. I've regained my interest in Menewsha, hopefully you will too.

I know you might not want to stick around anymore, but if you guys could just wait another few weeks (I can guarantee that the software will not take a month unless something major happens) and you'll see. There's still a possibility for this weekend, though Ken said he was still fixing a few things. I want you guys to have the chance to enjoy it, so I'm praying next weekend is the answer to all. A few links are still broken, avatar layers need some tweaking, and a few minor bugs need to be altered. So I just ask you guys to stick around a little longer just to see what the new Menewsha looks like, it's much more interesting and enjoyable than it is now.

You what gets to me. It's people like you and others who just don't care. I would normally refrain myself and just let comments like that go and ignore them, but I feel everyone should see this.

Since January I've been spending close to 90 hours a week working on this new software for YOU not for me, but for YOU. Lee has been spending thousands and thousands of dollars paying for new servers, new artwork, and new code and its people like you who make me not want to even do it anymore because your so ungratefully ignorant.

None of you have your facts straight and I'm getting so fed up with you thinking you know what the facts are. You think the staff are doing nothing but your wrong. You forget that almost ALL of the staff here are volunteering their time and they are spending a lot of time helping me and other with the new software. I can't force them to do everything and I don't feel that there not doing enough, they have exceeded my expatiations by far.

I'm sorry you feel that certain users are ass kissing to the staff. Should I just ban them? What do you want me to do about them. Please, enlighten me... As for the sites income, well thats really none of your business. I will say that Lee has been paying mostly out of his own pocket to get things done, but not enough to shut the site down.

I don't know who released a date but it should have never been released in the first place. I for one know that anytime your coding a project that it never goes as well as planned and things get pushed. We have made a ton of progress the past 2 weeks, but there has never been a definite date, at least in my mind. Even after the switch it won't be done. There will still be a lot of tweaking and bugs that will need to be fixed.

We don't care.. About what? I care about this site, I like this site. But I don't like the way that it's run.

Here we go again. Not to sound redundant, but users really don't like to see staff complaining about their jobs. You don't see the mailman coming up to your door and telling you how many hours he's been working. And that he's delivering the mail for YOU. It's his job. He doesn't have to stay, and neither do you. /:

So, basically my opinions make you want to quit? And I'm ungrateful? Of course I am ungrateful. What do I have to be grateful for? All of the fun activities going on right now? I KNOW THAT THIS SOFTWARE IS A LOT OF WORK. I KNOW THAT THERE ISN'T MUCH TIME FOR ANYTHING ELSE.

What facts don't I have straight? If you're referring to galy, I know a lot more than you give me credit for. I know staff are volunteers. I don't need you to tell me that. But they still shouldn't be complaining about their work. They are volunteers. They can leave. You can hire more. Simple as that.

Please don't bring up the cost of this. /:

As for ass kissers. Sure, ban them! I don't care. It was your idea.

I believe it was Jelly that said... Uh 4 days on like, March something. lulllls. - In the minds of the users, there have been one or two definite dates. And the minds of the users are what count.

I don't really think an official release date was ever announced. I just think it was one of the AA's who said it might be out in two weeks, but not to get our hopes up. ^--^;

I know Menewsha isn't perfect at the moment and there are a lot of other avi sites to choose from, but I'm going to stay here. :] I like a lot of people here.

I definetly agree about the GD though. [it was my home too :( ] Just glancing at the topics, I think, "Nooo. o__o"

We'll find out how hard the staff has worked when the updates come along. I'm sure there will be a lot of feedback after that as well.

Wow, you're a real professional. Insulting the users. Ken really is a tard. Shouldn't there be some sort of professionalism required to be on staff. At least now I know that it's lacking almost everywhere.

Goodbye ken. Now go slave away on the coding, like usual. And then come and complain to us all! And why don't you get your fucking facts straight. The OP is a girl.

Ken: I know there is only one coder but who says you couldn't put that on hold and get another? And that is Lee's choice to pay out of his pocket. He could sell the site to another persona and save himself a looot of debt. You could call me any name in the book and it wouldn't hurt my tiny ego any. ;D Nobody said you have to spend that much time on this. It's YOUR problem. not mind, not Mozz's.

Jelly did give a partial date, so if you're looking for a culprit, go see her.

I cared about this site a year ago. Now it's just overall retarded. Gaia deserves my company more. That and Kinsaki. And Roliana.

Maybe you should have people shut their mouths.

I see what your trying to do there and I'm not going to let that happen. Thread closed and I will be issuing you a warning about your language towards staff members. I can tolerate insults, but I won't tolerate disrespectful language aimed at me.

Final note: If you don't like this site (Mozzetti and Scribble), just stop visiting.
