This is the woman with the worlds smallest waist : http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/records/human_body/extreme_bodies/smallest_waist_on_a_living_person.aspx

That's an extreem version of tight-lacing. Alot of celebrities tight-lace to get the hour glass shape, where they do it just to a point where they get a small waist.

I had a look to see about the history of the corset and it seems to be that it was tight-lacing too much in too little time which killed them.

I'm in England so I know quite a bit about history of this country.

That's why it's the extreem of tight-lacing most people do it just to take a few inches off. Taking tight-lacing that far means she has to wear a corset 24 hours because her back is now used to being supported and it could kill her to leave it off for too long. It's the same with neck stretching.

Don't worry Kukon *hugs*

Out of all of the England's history I find Jack The Ripper to be the most interesting, because no one ever found out who Jack really was.

Out of all the suspect for who Jack The Ripper I think that the most likely would have been a nurse/mid-wife with something against ladies of the night, and they would have got away with it because you would expect to see them covered in blood.

America is America to me. Someone says America I think of the large land mass :XD

Actually, HIM, they know who Jack the Ripper was. They couldn't arrest him because he was a lord.

There were two Jacks there was Spring Heeled Jack who was a Lord they figured him out because of the letter on his suit there were copy cat Jacks as well with that one and there was who came later on Jack the Ripper and had something against ladies of the night and they think he if they were a he was an someone who came into the country from else where.

Spring heeled Jack was Lord Waterford. Not someone I would have liked to have met, crazy man bouncing round the street and breathing fire, into the faces of his victims.

Jack the Ripper must have been someone local to know the streets of London to get away that easily. London was a maze of streets at that time.
