Rainbows! I doubt it was me they were talking 'bout, cause I was only in the one forum... but hell, a little notoriety would be cool!

:(, I'm sorry they didn't like your art... it's probably not cookie-cutter like everyones, so people don't appreciate it!

I don't use Photoshop either. I draw all my lines and ink them by hand... then color them in Illustrator... ha ha ha... who does that?

Adobe Illustrator.
The more advanced artist program from Adobe, though Photoshop is simpler, it's more effective to use Illustrator if you can get the hang of it.

Photoshop is the simpleton of the gang.
Illustrator is the one I couldn't figure out for the life of me.

I'd suggest GIMP for simplistic stuff.

Illustrator is only hard until you understand it, then it's a breeze... then again, I did take two classes devoted entirely to Adobe Illustrator... (one for Photoshop too! And Dreamweaver, Flash, 3D Studio Max, Quark XPress.... knowledge which I pretty much will NEVER use again...though, I wish I had Flash...)

But, out of the whole Adobe package, I believe Illustrator is definitely cheaper than Photoshop.

I'd like to get my hands on Photoshop and Flash... Flash because I wanna make some animations! Screw websites, I wanna make me some cartoons! 3D Studio Max was a lot of fun, but really tedious. It's a 3D animation/special effects program... which I don't even know if the industry still uses, but that's what I learned... partially... it would take years and years to learn everything. I built a room with a fishbowl, complete with swimming fish... that was my extent of 3D animations.

The cool thing was, my teacher for that class actually worked on a movie using the program... errr... can't think of the name... It was a Robin Williams movie where his wife dies and he basically chases her to the afterlife, or something in that fashion. I was impressed that he worked on it, because there was some pretty wild CGI in it.

I have 3DSMax 7 somewhere.
I used it back in the days of Halo Modifications.
Now I have Source Modification tools that pack with the games, so I can make maps and stuff for Team Fortress 2.
