Behold another story !!!
Hashi stood in the middle of the battlefield, her great sword, Alastor, which was at least a foot taller than her, held easily in her left hand. The black and blue fire that engulfed her right hand flickered fiercely as she stretched her brown wings that sprouted from her bloody back. She flicked her long, deep red hair out of her face revealing eyes of the same intense colour and fangs inside a grinning mouth.
One of the demons ran at her, snarling and flailing a morning star above its head. In one swift movement, Hashi span in a clean dodge and thrust Alastor deep into the demons stomach. Blue lightning curled around the sword and into the demons gut, its veins lightened to the same bright blue as the lightning and the demon writhed until it fell limp. Kicking the burnt corpse off her beloved weapon, Hashi looked up through her hair to see two more demons running at her, anger, hate and fierceness reflected in their eyes. She swung at the first, dark blue blood poured through the deeply and expertly cut throat, and jumped, backwards, over the other, a snake like demon. Hashiâs mouth grew into an even wider grin as she landed. Using her right hand, which was still seemingly on fire yet un-burnt, she punched through the demons back and pulled out its black, still beating heart and dropped it into her dragon scale pouch.
This was a chance for the demon behind her. He swung a scimitar with smooth accuracy towards the back of her unprotected neck, and only the sound of the blade slicing through the air ruined the demons brilliant stealth. It was enough warning for Hashi, who quickly ducked forwards, saving her neck, but not her hair which fell softly to the ground. Reaching back she felt her hair, which was now at the top of her neck instead at her waist, turned to the demon, who was smirking slightly, and screamed incoherently at him, grabbed his face and the black fire spiralled up her arm and swarmed into his skull. It circled around inside, melting his eyes, burnt his tongue, charred his teeth, and completely obliterated his brain, until his terrified expression grew vacant and his now lifeless body went limp.
Throwing the empty shell to the side Hashi yelled âENOUGH!â the demon horde stopped advancing and gazed at her, listening âI have had enough of this tedious battle, ready yourselves.â
Raising her arms to the sky, and lifting her head, the black fire spread to the ground and across the entire battlefield, killing all in its path except for its controller. The intense, scorching heat lasted several painful minutes and only when all around her had turned to ash did Hashi bring her hand in a short swipe sideways and the fire instantly died down.
The one remaining figure of Hashi sat on the blackened ground and produced a cloth, and rubbed it along the side of Alastor, cleaning of the many different shades of blood that the demons had spewed onto it. She threw the bloodstained cloth away and investigated her arms, legs and face, checking for any wounds that had sneaked up on her and finding only the old scar that sat underneath her right eye.
âVery nice, I hope that you got all of the ingredients before you decided that you wanted a barbeque tonight, thoughâ a figure wandered over to Hashi. She had black hair, tied high in two side ponytails, giving her quite a girlish appearance which was then broken by the small round glasses that hid the bottom corners of her brown eyes, the lab coat she wore which was so long on the arms that her hands were hidden, and a strange clunking sound when she walked.
Hashi looked up at her as she approached and grinned âHey Tai, yea, I got them all, you shouldnât need to worry, I wouldnât be as careless as that. Hereâ she threw the dragon scale pouch to her and stood up âLets goâ

Two hours later the odd pair arrived at Taiâs lab under Midnight mansion, an annoyingly clean and white room full of strange flasks and concoctions, there was a small section of the lab which was blackened where a few years ago the young scientist had caused an explosion while trying to create a kind of sweet that could help her semi demonic mother with her blood cravings. Tai instantly set to work creating a strange potion out of the various substances collected by her over-the-top, little sister.
As Hashi waited she cleaned her sword in detail, picking out all the tiny bits of dirt that stuck in its various grooves and crevasses. Alastor was the biggest sword that a member of the large family possessed, and it was carved in detail many years ago. The hilt was a dirty brown colour, with four small skulls and a spike at the end, reaching down in a spiral and opening out into a pair of wings strangely identical to Hashiâs own wings. These had two claws underneath, clutching at the beginning of the scarily sharp blade which, as far as anyone knew, could cut through anything that Hashi willed for it to cut through, and occasionally flicked the eerie blue lightning; the only sign of the demon that was trapped inside. This sword had killed many, demons, evil humans, vampires, zombies, necrons and the minions of the infamous âthe manâ, who had sold his soul for one hundred lives, but now lay dead under the remains of his ruined house.
âOK!â Taiâs voice made Hashi jump and she looked up, tensing, ready to slash in defence âitâs finished Hashi, you can take it to him nowâ her face peered around the corner at Hashi and threw the small vial containing blood red liquid, at her, who caught it easily in her hand.
The demon hunter sighed âWhen will we be able to stop this?â
âI have no ideaâ Tai answered, looking at the floor then added âbut for the moment her still needs it, you remember what happens if he doesnâtâ
âRightâ Hashi nodded and walked through a door, and up to another, placed her hand on a panel to one side of it and the door opened silently.
She walked into a white, padded room with a strange being in the middle, wrapped in a straight jacket, with chains tying him to the floor. Two black horns stuck though his mop of black, lifeless hair, greasy with sweat, and one, torn and tattered wing stuck through the jacket on his right side. He looked up at Hashi showing his innocently blue eyes and recoiled.
âPlease, it hurts Hashi, pleaseâ he backed as far as the chains would allow him and crouched to the floor again, shivering.
âI know Kin, please, you need it, you know you do, and what happened last time you refused, we had to tame it once, with many lives lost, think of my daughter, TikaâŚâ
âStopâ Kin shuddered at the name âI didnât mean to, itâŚit was an accident IâŚâ he closed his eyes and solemnly nodded but said nothing. It was enough.
Hashi bent down to him and bit a hole in his left wrist, poured the liquid into her mouth, replaced her lips to the cut and blew the mixture into the cut.
Kin instantly began to scream as the liquid rushed though his bloodstream and into his heart. He writhed and squirmed to the floor, and then he relaxed as the calm came and he fell to sleep, nuzzling into the padded floor, eyes softly closed and mouth left open slightly. His wing twitched in his sleep and he breathed evenly, the sign of a good potion and perfect ingredients.
Hashi smiled slightly and stroked his hair fondly as he slept, thinking about the things that she had to do for Tai, Erie sensei and the rest of her weird and wonderful family, she sighed, kissed Kinâs forehead and stood up.
âThere you go, youâll be ok, my little brotherâ
