My dog hasn't been himself late, being sick a lot, peeing in the house and not eatting. We just took him to the vets and they said it might be that his kidneys are failing. We have to take him to the vets again tomorrow for a bloodtest and depending on the results... He might have to be put down. I was so upset that while my dad was making tomorrows appointment I sat in tears :( Everyone in the waiting room with theirs pets were looking so sorry for me :( I love my dog so much, he's not just a pet to me, he is one of my best friends and a member of the family. I know it's gonna happen eventualy but that doesn't make it any easier to take :( I just wish my fiancee was off work tomorrow to come to the vets with me. But I have to go on my own and I know I will just cry all the time and all the way home :(

[b]Aww your poor dog :( I hope he will be ok. It really hurts because pets can't talk to tell you if they hurt, or if it effects them in different ways. He looks at me so sad, I can't stand it :(

Aww. <3
Look on the bright side,
The vet my be able to help your dog! ;D
I kind of had the same problem with my dog, Me and my family were out driving and we spotted a dalmation on the road. So my mom picked it up and took it back to our apartment, it was fine for a few month's but then it just started getting sick, it would piss/shit in the house, it couldn't move, it kept crying, ectect. We never found out what was wrong with it, but we had to put him down. Dx
But anyways,
I know it's hard, but try to cheer up! ;D
Thing's will get better sooner or later. :]

Aaww, Poor thing. TT-TT I know how you feel; I've lost two goats I love very much, and it looks like I may lose another one. I love this one especially, because her mother was the firrst goat that died, so I raised her myself. She's pregnant now, and might even have her kids today. I've been doing everything I can think of, and now I just hope she gives birth safely and gets over whatever is wrong with her.

I know how you feel, we had gotten my dog Sully as soon as he could be away from his mommy. He was a half springer spaniel/half beagle and all cute :D He ended up contracting Lyme disease and having various tumors develop in his lungs/asophagus so he had to be put to sleep when he was 13...he was MY dog and my baby <3 used to sleep with me in my bed (as long as he wasnt snoring too loud, i'll tell you he snored louder than my dad and i didnt think such a thing was possible!) I miss him so much but im glad for the time i did have with him <3

That's aweful, and I feel just as bad.
My six month old Cocker Spaniel is sick with Parvo (sp?), and her lungs are bleeding. When we got her, they told us she was vaccinated. It wasn't until we took her to the vet when she got sick that we found out they lied.
Now, becuase of their stupid, selfish lie our companion is sick and dying. The vet told us to leave her there and pay 1,000, but that there's no assurance she'll survive.
My mom said no, and I felt like dying. But instead of putting her to sleep, wee giving her Aloe and Human medicine. She's allot better than she was this morning, but I'm still very worried.

wow, that really sucks. i have a dog too (who is nine years old by the way) and that happened to her once. she was vomiting and squealing and wouldn't eat anything. so we took her to the vet and they said to come back tomorrow, they're going to 'test' her for a day. turns out it was just something she ate, probably from the garbage ack >.>;

I had my yorkie die from cancer a few years ago. I also had a foster dog that had to be put down because he was diabetic and went into kidney failure. Cases like that are always sad, but you have to look at the bright side, at least they had a nice life and were taken care of before they died. You get to know when it's the animal's time to go and that's the best thing that you can really do for them.

I'm sorry to hear that :( It's always hard to lose a pet :(
I lost my first dog to cancer. It ended up paralyzing his back end and we had no choice but to put him down. We didn't want to make him suffer more than he already had. He was the best dog ever :(

Thanks everyone. And I'm so sorry to hear about your dogs and cats too :( And yeah he's MY baby too. I know that's probebly sad because I'm 24 >< but he is 11 and that's a looooong time to bond with something. I was talking last night about feeding him nice things like pasta for dinners and stuff, dad said "if you get chance" I know he didnt mean it in a mean way, but it really hit me hard. I can't imagine life without him, he's always been there. Always in my room, scratching at the door and making pathetic cries when he can't get in XD he sleeps IN my bed cause he wont settle ON it. He cries whenever my fiancee tries to hug or kiss me lol. For a long time he would lay in between us like he was being a barrier lol.
Well, today is the day. And I have to take him for his blood test alone because everyone else is busy. I really hope that later I don't get a call saying that we have to put him down. Thing is, his back legs are failing too. This is the main reason he would have to be put down if his kidneys are failing. Because we can only treat one thing not both. I don't want to medicate him for the rest of his life. It's so hard seeing him behave in a way that's really not him. You can really see in his eyes how sad he is, which to me is maybe a sign he wants to go you know? He wags his tail a little when you fuss him, but he seems to have no love for life now :( :( :(

That is really sad, I have a little dog she is a family pet but I can't imagine not having her there. But there is still a chance that this is all just a temporary thing. But I don't want to get your hopes up, just in case you know.

Well... He had to be put down. I can't remember the last time I cired so much. I'm still crying now. When i put him on the table so the vet could do he, he wagged his tail and I just wanted to pick him up and say "it's ok, he's fine now... It will all be ok" As soon as he injected all the liquid he had gone. I petted him and cried and he looked so peacefull. But then he gagged and all the air came out like any corpse does and that was such a horrible thing to see. I left the room after that. I already miss him so much. I don't know what to do :(
*edit*
So it's been a day... And I can't stop thinking about it :( It's driving me crazy and nothing I do takes my mind off it. All I can think about now is "What if I didn't love him enough" and things like that. I'm going out of my mind :(
