[[oh~ I think my Chibi's in there somewhere~ XD
I was going to show you after I took a shower, but you might have found it already XD]]

Shan felt herself relax. At least there was one less who was lost. She was glad to have found Phineas before someone (or something) else had. He'd clearly been through enough already. She stared down at his face. The two lighter streaks where his tears had passed where there, clear as the moon against the night sky.

((haha, I played tetris and I got ranked 666... I am tetris devil! RAWR!
I think my favourite is "Angel's Passion". So dramatic and the wings are awesome.))

Limp in Shan's arms, everything seems peaceful and resolved for once.
Quietly, slow with the deliberation of dreams, thin lines traced themselves around Phineas's legs, where the seam between his body and his new legs would have been. The lines deepened and beads of blood rolled down them, dangling like rubied pearls before fattening.
They dropped silently to the ground and disappeared.

And thank you! I tried a new thing with the shading, so it was tough to figure out. And more hair than I've ever CG-ed before XD...and it gradiates 8D

OMG. Fiend! LOL I never score that high D8]]

As she watched the sinister red color, Shan felt that she herself would sink into the ground. This is what she got for hoping for too much, too soon. There are so many things she overlooked, so many rules, so many possibilities, most of them negative. There were many different things that could have caused this. The main, most general, and most obvious was that there were many, many kinds of of magic. The magic of the Angels was the same as the magic of Humans, because the magic of Humans stemmed from the Angelic race in the first place. However, it was different than the magic of elves, fairies, dwarfs, and dragons. The memory of his smile lingered for a moment, the glistening teeth. It broke her. A tear streamed down her left cheek, the eye-patch over her right eye was stained red. She would stay in this form past morning. The legs she had given Phineas were gone. She didn't want all of his new reality shattered. There was no pain like the pain of being lost.

((but apparently the most you can earn is 50 G anyway, so it was a waste of time >_< YAY YOU'RE BACK! I am so addicted to this roleplay. I seriously missed doing this.

Is it morning now? Or should I wait til someone else says what they did all night?))

The sun rose on the neverending dream mountains. The snowy peaks glistened a white so cold it was almost blue and the trees were green tinted with orange light, everything rendered in the thick strokes of an oil painter's brush on canvas. Birds started to flitter back and forth between trees, some the dull brownish grey of true nature, others coloured in neon and singing songs more complex than the waking day could ever contrive. The dreams still mingled with truth, the truth with the dreams, becoming one world in between. Things crashed around in the woods, unbalanced by their change of habitat, but staying away from the group as if there were an invisible shield around them, keeping them safe.

Phineas stirred in his sleep, making small straining noises as he tried to speak in his native tongue.

[[Woman, you will blow me up with squee-ing..ness <<< this is the maker of the roleplay. Oh, what person you people are trusting in~.. XD

The night was going to be uneventful either way. Things start after they leave the mountains (which won't take long, I promise XD)

About Tetris: I thought it was only 50 gold per day, but I'd keep playing because I'm addicted XD I ended up finding out that it WAS more than 50 gold per day. It was 50 each time XD;; Took me a good couple of days though D8;;

EDIT: I'll be off at prom today, so don't be waiting for me or anything XD;; Feel free to post as much as you like, as long as it's not over two pages (doubtful, but it can happen! XD)]]

Shan had been a wake for about three hours or so. The last shift had been hers, and so she had to be awake anyway. Still, she had been awake even before her shift had begun. And she'd refused to return to her human form. She had fallen asleep sitting up without even realizing she had. No one had said anything to her either, so there she had staid, propped up like a tripod with too many legs. The boy in her arms still slept. She traced his lower brow with her knuckles, wondering about his story still, too afraid to ask.

Yuki stepped out of the cave silently, in case someone still wanted to sleep a bit. He went over to his mother and looked over her shoulder. The boy in his mother's arms.. Yuki wondered where he would go. He hoped that he would follow them, and maybe even stay at their home once the whole ordeal was over.

Shan looked over at Yuki. "How did you sleep, Yu-chan?" she asked. He seemed fine but she wanted to hear what he had to say.

"I slept surprisingly well," he answered. "The floor is an unexpectedly comfortable bed."

Shan smiled. This definitely sounded like her son. As long as he was fine, so was she. For the most part, at least.

((Ooye...much for me to read. XD So morning it is!))

Ani had fallen asleep, her senses were down under the earth, listening with it at any given noise in the distance. She had created a packed earth under her head for a pillow. The night was cooler than normal, and during her night watch shift, she had cast a warmth spell around the cave, making it more comfortable for her sleeping companions. A large circle was drawn outside the cave in the dirt for it. When they would leave the cave, she would break it.
Her breathing was deep and she dreampt of nothing but the earth and the days it were born. Many had made the mistake that she was in a deep slumber, but she only knew the truth. It had saved her many times, from death and backstabbing companions. Ani felt the air currents movement before her and her eyes fluttered open, she laid there adjusting to the light before she sat up in a swift movement. Others were still asleep, It was Yuki that had woken up and he was with his mother and the newfound traveler. Before standing up, she placed her hand on the pillow mound, and the dirt all fell into place. She brushed off herself and slipped into her boots, strapping in her sword and walked out of the cave she met you Shan at the entrance, "Ill be at the hot spring. I want to freshen up." She replied with a nod before heading off. She was glad she had gotten up early, a bath was in order.

((Hope you had a good time at prom!!! High heels DO suck.
I'm feeling weirdly graphic and exposition-ish right now, so I hope this is still within the bounds of decency for this RP))

The boy sleeping in Shan's arms was back in the same shape he'd been in when found, except the faint smile on his face and the general sense of ease around him.

The bandages on his stumps hadn't regenerated with the disappearance of the magical legs, so the heavy scabbing and amateurish first-aid work was visible to the world now. There was blood crusted on the big, childish stitches holding together the skin stretched over the truncated limbs, making it look like a badly sewn trinket bag. The suture string was a chunky and uneven twine woven quickly out of hair, and the small fishbone used as a needle was pinning together a ragged part of Phineas' makeshift toga where it was within easy reach in case of emergency repairs.
The whole thing looked fairly serviceable and had held together up to now, but the twine was beginning to unravel so that individual hairs stood out like bristles from the wound, and the scabs were looking sore and rubbed, blood slowly seeping from around their edges.
It would have taken a fairly detached mind to do this surgery on oneself, but luckily that was one thing that Phineas had. He hadn't really seen the body as his own when he had clawed the legs off to escape the trap, and even through the haze of blood loss and fight-or-flight adrenaline, he had worked through what he should do next. Once he had fled, he calmly tended to himself, still convinced that what was happening wasn't really happening to him.
He hadn't been able to find the same herbs and leaves from his world in order to lessen infection or staunch the flow, but if he had it would have been a perfect treatment. If he could maintain his composure in that situation, then he could easily do the same with another person's injuries.

((The sun went away T_T I'm off to sleep, I'll be back early tomorrow to see if anything happens!))

[[I danced all night!... except for when I was eating and visiting the Regan Library's museum. It was so nice~ <3

So now I'm sore from the chest down XDDD

Oh, and I'll see if I can get some pictures up >w<]]

Shan couldn't help but looking down at the boy's legs, or rather, where his legs stopped. They had been mended, but she could see that it would not hold for much longer. Shan thought for a moment, and decided that she would need to ask Ani for a favor once she was done bathing. The impression that Phineas might slip down and away through his legs refused to leave her.

((Lolz...Thats why I dont own a pair of heels. I cant walk in those things and they are too uncomfortable for me. I only have flat shoes XD
EDIT: Thats great PlatinumChild!! Im glad you have lots of fun. ^^))

Ani eased her body into the hot spring. The water too her in gently and she sighed. The water had a healing mechanism to it, perhaps it was an enchantment, or maybe there were spearmint leaves around thats soaking in the water. She didnt know what it was that made the water feel as if it had magical soothing fingers.
She dived below the water, and quickly came up again, running water dripping from her hair and face as she opened her eyes again. She washed in the comfort of the early morning.
After a good 10 minute soak, Ani stepped out of the water. She pulled on her undergarments and dried herself in the sun atop a boulder. As her skin dried, she felt it tighten, it was the aid of the water. It made her new again. A cut she had on her shoulder from a couple days before, fighting the first nightmare monster had sealed up and all that was left was a faint scar. She felt rejuvenated and alert. She wondered if it was the Earth Spirit at work for her. She never knew what the spirit did to aid her.
Ani slipped into her dress. Her fingers working over the complicated buttons like nothing. It was a dress that the Spirit had given her to wear, it never gained any dirt, or tore. The boots were her fathers. She slipped her feet into them and buckled the top. Slowly she worked her way into strapping in the daggers, the sheathed sword tying on her waist. Her last movement was strapping the leather buckled books across her chest. She climbed down the rock and made her way back to the cave.

((Sorry I wasn't on yesterday. D8))

Demitra stretched and opened her mouth wide as she yawned awake. She had fallen asleep without knowing it. It wasn't exactly what you would call a comfortable sleep either. "Good morning," she greeted to anyone who was listening. She walked over to the springs and opened up her canteens. With some simple movements of her hands, a stream of water came out and into them.

After putting the cap back on them, she walked over to Shan and sat down next to her cross legged. "What are we going to do today, Shan?" she asked.

((By the way, I'm not going to be on tomorrow until Saturday. Don't do too much without me!!))

((Oh my ... lol seems like I've missed a lot. But yeah, ditto the message - hope you had fun at your prom!))
Unlike the others, Ari stayed awake through the night. He was restless. When he realized that sleep would not come he just gave up completely and stared into the night sky - the stars, they were truly spectacular. He rested at the edge of the cliff, far away from the party. It felt strange to be amongst people again, human or not, and each of them so... sure of their core, of their self. Shan's revealing of her 'true' form earlier gave him pause - he had not sensed it earlier, when they first met. So what does that make her son then? Another angel, or a half-breed?
He saw it when the boy's legs had fallen and disappeared... yet Shan had done what she said she would - help him, even if it wasn't in the way the youth had expected for her to. Who else here is not human, I wonder. He thought as he ran the faces of the people in the group past his mind. Ani had a spirit living inside of her, Shan is an angel... so what about Kira? What about him? "We must all be here for a reason." He said softly to himself. Maybe there was no such thing as coincidence.
Standing up, he stretched out of his arms in an effort to relieve the stiffness in his limbs. Walking slowly to the side of Shan, he stopped at looked at the tiny boy inside of her arms. He waited for Demetria to speak. "Further more, what are we going to do with him?" Ari then asked. "You are not going to leave him here, yet he can not move on his own. Should I carry him?" What he said was all said in a matter-of-factly fashion as he spoke in soft tones.

((XP Agreed, heels are bad, though I'm glad you had fun at your prom.))
Kira woke up in a daze, seeing Ari still wake. Was he up the whole night? He didn't seem to react too much to Shan's angel form, though he might have been going bat shit on the inside. She wasn't too good on reading people. She sat up, seeing that the other boy was still here, though the stitches on his leg seemed to need to be redone. She stretched her arms and legs, taking in everyone there.

[[Woah, you guys posted pretty fast XD

Shan watched as various members of the group woke up. Ari had asked her the very question she had asked herself. "He will come with us. As for how, I'm not yet sure. It seems to me like he is perfectly used to not having any legs at all, from his actions yesterday. His arms might not be bulky with muscles, but they still look strong enough to lift his whole body. What worries me are his legs." As she said this, she motioned to the bloodied scabs. "Magic will not work. That was harshly proven. I will just have to find a different way of doing things."

As his mother said this, Yuki merely sat next to her, trying to think of anything that would help but that wouldn't be reversed. Other thoughts came to him as well. Now that the others saw his mother was an angel, what did they think he was?

I love the dress, and they way you did your hair and makeup, you look stunning. ^^ I love that last picture, you really are beautiful. <3 ))

Ani had stopped shortly by Shan and the boy she held. She watched as the others awoke. She then notice that it was Ari that she was sensing whilst she was asleep, who was so restless, she watched him intensely for a moment before her attention went to Shan. She was an angel, so many thing the night had revealed. She looked from Shan to Yuki and smiled, even more an innocent he was.
"What can be done Shan? We saw last night how he wanted to tear off the newly attained legs, and bringing along on the journey is just a reliability, unless we can do something." She said nodding. Her hair had dried to a silky shine, and she knew it must be the water. Even the spirit would not nourish her like this when she was not broken and in need of it.

"Indeed - if he was left alone to travel on his own, surely his legs would drag over the ground and cause further, unncessary damage." Ari said, nodding in agreenment to Shan's statements. "Is there a way for us to find out why your magic didn't work? But regardless, I would say that it'd be in his best interest to clean it and rebandage it - is Ani not the one with the Earth spirit sealed in her? Perhaps she would know what are the appropriate herbs needed to create a salve to put over such a wound and then conjure them. And if he'd rather not be carried... we can make crutches, though I cannot say how safe they would be on such uneven grounds."

[[Oh, thank you >//////////< I don't know why, but the camera can never get my eye color right XD They look a bit too reddish. Mine are actually a dark brown. Not as dark as my hair, but still quite dark XD;; ]]

"Hm...I'm fairly sure that the reason my magic didn't work is because another type of magic reached him far before I did. Only those who posses that type of magic can eliminate it. Since it is not the type of magic I work with, all I did was counter it; countering only works temporarily. No matter how many times I try to counter this magic, it will come back because I can not fully eradicate it. However, this might not be bad magic or anything of the sort. It seems more like a defense mechanism that cannot yet recognize magic that is harmful or magic that is helpful, so it undoes every type of spell." Shan sat there, her mind was working to narrow down the creatures that had such magic. It was possible, even, that two types of magic were working against her own. "There are two groups of magic-users that are capable of such magic, apart from a single individual. The Dreamweaver's magic is different than that of any other angel. Any distortion caused by her under present circumstances is impossible to eliminate. It might be this distortion that is working against us. However, that alone might not be enough. It's possible that I'm holding either an elf, or a dragon who has been stripped of the full extent of his powers..."

((WHOOOAAA you're PURDY!))

The voices pierced the darkness of his dreams. Phineas followed them up to the surface of his mind, swimming through the viscous fluids of his dragon unconsciousness.
He awoke, first opening his eyes, then focusing them on the nearest faces. His calm remained with him as he looked back and forth between all the different emotions on display for him.
"What am it?" he asked, blurrily.

[[Thank you! >w<]]

Somehow, Shan had been startled near witless at this last question. For some reason, she hadn't expected Phineas to wake up at the moment he did, let alone speak. But now that he was, deciding what to do with him would be much easier. She had made her guess about what he was already. The life of a dragon was much less forgiving than that of an elf. Not even the mothers were forgiving. She looked down at him. He might or might not know what he was, but she had to try asking, at the very least. "Are you, by any chance, a dragon?"

Phineas looked at the faces waiting for his answer. How would they react if they knew what he was? Would they want his hoarde? Would they be afraid of him? One of their number had huge wings, others were coursing with magic... maybe he would fit in just fine.
He looked at Shan, held her eyes with his, and, inside of himself, pushed forward what was left of his powers.
The boy's eyes changed, just for a brief second. In the space between heartbeats, the pupils had narrowed to vertical slits and the gold irises had shone with the heat of fire.
He suddenly looked exhausted. "Yes." he said, in a voice that dared anyone to oppose this fact.

Shan smiled, for his sake more than for her own, although having a dragon around could be unnerving for many other people. She was glad that there was still power within him, even if it was little bit. For someone who had gone from great beast so a much humbler form, a scrap of power could mean a lot. She asked another question, which she realized she had failed to ask before, and which she should have asked first. "What is your name? I can't possibly call you 'boy' every time I have to speak to you."

Phineas looked blankly at concept of "name". He looked at his hands while he thought about it.

After a moment, he looked up and tried to say it. It sounded something like "F-eye-nyay-ee-oos", a name lacking something in translation.

Shan nodded. The name was difficult to convert. There was one way, and it was probably the closest way to translate it, even with missing elements. "Phineas, then. Is it alright if we call you that? It might not be the same as your true name, but it's as close as we will be able to come to it."

[[EDIT: whoops, you posted right before me so I didn't notice. Hold on for a bit while I edit my post with a better summary ^^;

EDIT 2: There's already too much for me to tell the full story, but the basic situation at the moment is this:

It is morning and the group of travelers have just woken up. The night before, they traveled in a sea of endless mountains, and went into a cave for shelter. They found a boy called Phineas, who was missing a good chunk of his legs, and he seemed more of a danger to himself than to anyone else. Worried, Shan took it upon herself to calm the boy down, letting him know that there was no one in the group who wanted to harm him. Phineas has learned to trust the group now and the group is learning more about him little by little. Some of his background story is on the front page, but the group doesn't know anything about what has happened to him, so I'd refrain from mentioning that until Phineas himself does.

Sidenote: my character (Shan) looks a bit different than the picture I have up on the front page]. She looks like THIS. Her eye color is still the same, but the drastic change in appearance is a bit important for those who like to focus on description. In fact, I should probably update my profile when I get back home (I'm in a hurry because my parents want to take me for a walk .. after prom 8D;; Oh well. I'm used to stuff like this. Hopefully someone else will give you a better clue XD;; ]]

(( okay thanks, i'll just post something real quick and hopefull join the group later on. ))

The soft rays of the morning sun fell upon Shira's face, much to her dismay. She rolled over and mumbled something incoherently before falling back asleep. Mind you sleeping on the hard forest ground isn't exactly luxurious but once Shira was asleep she really didn't mind. It wasn't until a few acorns carelessly dropped by a squirrel up above hit Shira in the head did she open her eyes. " fine, you win i'll get up for the day." she said out loud. Shira sat up and stretched, yawning sleppily, she stood up and looked around her....

The woods were awfully quiet but it was a new day and who knows what could come her way. Shira brushed off the leaves and dirt off her snow white outfit and continued on her way. Shira didn't know exactly where she was going nor did she care but hey isn't that what being a wanderer is all about?

Shira walked for awhile, she just wished she could find her way out of these godforsaken mountains, she could have sworn that she had done about five laps arounds these woods, Shira couldn't even remeber what brought her here....Oh that's right she had seen a strange flash of light and curiousity getting the better of her, she just had to find out what it was... Shira never did find the source of the strange light....now she was more concerned with finding an exit...
