Ani had stripped the cloth she torn, really fine, and strung it through the needle. "How is your pain tolerance Phineas?" She asked not looking at him, but what she was doing.

Shan's face, which had been red only moments before, turned even redder than it had been. "I ...miscalculated," he stated, as if she had been working on a formula. "I didn't think the water would turn the color it did. As for my face.. I would rather not go there..." She looked at her son in a way that made it obvious that she needed help.

Yuki waited for his mother to step away, at a safe distance from the group, then proceeded to forming a very large ice cube above her head, then melting it, causing it all to splash on Shan as if it had been poured from a very large bucket. It might not have been very elegant, but at least she was clean now.

Shan was cold. She was not shaking, but she was cold. The thought of flapping her six wings occurred to her, but that would have been troublesome. Instead, she shook them gently, until enough water had dripped off to make her wings comfortable again.

"Sorry," Yuki said, a playful smile clearly visible.

Shira looked up and felt a cold drop of water splash on her face.. " oh! looks like it's finally about time.." she stated. soon after raindrop after raindrop began to fall untill finally it was literally pouring outside..Shira looked over at Yuki... " heh, looks like you didn't need to use that water trick after all.." shira said... within minutes the group was going to be soaked... however this was one of those times that Shira was glad she could manipulate nature. She used her ability to use the extend thebranches of the trees so that they formed a sortof roof over the group. Now they were safe from the terrential downpour.

"Nightmares, what are they exactly?" Ari asked Kira as he tilted his head slightly, watching the group from afar as they moved about the clearing. His eyes were half-shadowed by thought. "Since this is the Dreamworld... I suppose they'd be the monsters here, but what do they look like exactly?" One large hand reached up and removed the hat from his crown, and the other immediately followed to comb through his messy golden locks. I've been lost for so long...

As the thunder suddnly split through the air, Ari's head jerked in surprise and he looked up, gazing into the distance through squinted eyes to observe the quickly gathering storm. From the variation in light he calculated the approximate time that it would take before the torrential rain would reach them... and looking around, he was amused by the fact that no one seemed too worried by this storm. It would make climbing much more difficult. As the wind began to pick up, he thought of the beautiful weather the day before, and wondered that if the weather in these parts were rather fickle, or if the storm was something unnatural - the humidity had been rather low then. And then he noticed the red lining, with his sensitive eyes, and quickly stood. "Kira, do you see the reddish tinge to the clouds?" He asked softly, a slightly frown between his brows as he tried to confirm the fact that he wasn't simply seeing things. He moved, then, swiftly to the side of the group that was gathered at the other end of the clearing and shook his head as a chorus of laughter floated past him.

"Not to mean to rain on your parade," he said drily as he stepped aside to avoid the water that trickled down on Shan, "but I think there may be more than just a storm coming this way." Ari then raised his arm and pointed at the clouds that were now over their head.

Phineas didn't quite understand the concept of "tolerance", but the really tasty smell was coming from the bowl and he got the feeling he could only eat it if he cooperated with whatever Ani wanted to do. He glanced back at Shan and Yuki before settling himself down in front of Ani, looking at the needle apprehensively.
It started to rain, and a sarcastic part of his mind told him that he could have waited on the bathing...

Kira nodded. "Yeah well they tend to take on the form of a person's nightmare, like if a child was afraid of the boogie man that could appear or worse." She wondered how he didn't know if he had been traveling here for a good amount of time. Maybe he was just lucky or something. She shrugged it off, looking at the sky. She almost jumped at the sound of the thunderclap, wondering what caused it. She saw the storm clouds coming closer, wondering how exactly it had gone from a nice day to a storm. The past days didn't have that bad of weather so maybe it was due, she didn't know.She squinted at the skyline, trying to find what Ari happened to have. She saw a red hue on the clouds, mentally gaping in surprise. "Yeah I do." She wished she had an umbrella, putting up the hood of her cloak.

Ani settled down by Phineas bringing the bowl along with her. "Im going to remove these stitches and replace them with new ones after Ive sealed it off from infection." She said as she cut the stitches lightly with the end of her dagger. "Try now to move to much. If I had had enough time I would of made a anesthesia for you to eat and it would numb your body from pain, but we havent the time." She said softly and soothingly.

((A blood storm would have been awesome! If nightmares manifest themselves... imagine the kinds of things that would scare a dragon. O_O then again, probably really silly things...))

Phineas reached distractedly with one hand and grabbed the closest thing that felt right. It was a good chunk of a stick. He wedged it into his mouth and bit down on it, watching the stitches come out. Oh wow did that itch.

The storm was now fully ontop of the group and it seemed to go on for miles and miles.The thunder boomed even louder than before and soon after that lighting struck nearby. The rain was coming down even harder, and it had gotten so loud that it was hard to hear anyone. But as the rain continued to come down it started to change color, it no longer looked like regular water anymore... in fact it almost looked like blood.

Ani concentrated on what she was doing. The poorly amputated legs were roughly cleans by the bath he had just taken, but Ani could see the tips of the flesh was infected and turning a darker shade. She looked at Phineas, "Im sorry..." She whispered not sure if he heard her. She was sorry for what she would ahve to do to stop the infection and that would be scraping the infected skin and meat off from his stumps. She gritted her teeth and with a swift movement used her dagger to cut away at the infection. She worked quickly and in a good five minutes, both stumps were looking healthy and clean.
Not looking at Phineas, she took the salve and applied it to the stumps. She applied it generously, not sparing a drop or being greedy. She could always make more if he needed another cleaning. The smell was high and the honey was strong in the oder, making it a sweet smell.

Yuki watched as Ani removed the stitches. It was definitely not the most pleasant thing to watch, but he could not take his eyes away.

Shan stayed as close to the group as possible, while still being able to keep a close eye on the storm. She would have to keep an eye out for the lightning. She put the now wet pile of clothes down on the floor, leaving her fans behind as well. Usually, she would use them with her powers, but in this situation, they would only be in her way. In addition to that, the droplets of rain were taking on a very threatening color.

((>_> cows are tasty. But ya know... I think I'll go for chicken today.))

The boy chomped down as hard as he could on the stick as Ani worked. It was taking all of his willpower to not run away. He focused all the pain and bit it into the stick, stifling a scream. Tears rolled down his cheeks, but he couldn't help but watch. This was part of him, but it was also happening to someone else, and it was interesting.
As he watched, the world doubled, and for a moment there were four stumps, two women leaning over them, twice the blood. He saw dark figures lurking behind her, hooded against rain, holding spears. They poked him, laughed, sounded delighted at their captured prey. He could hear himself using all his strength to roar at them, trying to change into something they would fear. The trap on his legs, it was so big... was it for bears? He'd thought it was for bears, but it was so big. Had it been for dragons? Nightmares? Something else? It held him back, it almost even seemed to hold on tighter the more he struggled to reach the figures.
The shadows glimmered and disappeared. It was just Ani, and the salve was so cold. It bit into him and then soothed the burning of his body and mind, pulling him back into the present.
The stick had snapped, but the two pieces were still clamped in his jaws. The world went black. His eyes closed.

Shan saw Phineas lean dangerously and managed to grab him from the shoulders in time. She avoided going outside, and it was probably better for all of them to stay in the cave for a while longer. She sat down, holding Phineas up. Had she gone through this, she was almost certain she would have screamed.

Phineas knew when to stay strong and quiet. His memories flashed around before him; having to escape or resign himself to death by the hands of the cloaked figures, hiding from them as they searched, following his trail. He hadn't been allowed to scream, and even now it went against his instincts to allow himself the freedom of such a loud noise.
The comforting warmth of Shan chased away the shadows.


((okay, last class of the day, I'll be back much later... Phineas is very light, probably anyone could carry him piggyback if necessary... I can't wait to come back and see what happens with the bloody rain!))

Ani knew the pain he must feeling. She worked as quickly as she could, but still making sure that she was doing a complete job sealing the wound. "All right, just a little bit more." She said. She put the bowl down and wiped her hands free of the sticky numbing salve. She picked up the needle and pulled the skin together across the stumps of legs. It should be numb by now from the ice cold salve, and she relaxed a little knowing that the pain would not be as before.
She pulled the needle through and stitched the skin together. After a while, she was finished the stitching on the second stump. The last stage was to wrap it up. She unfolded the cloth she had torn from her perfectly fine dress and gently wrapped it around the stitched stumps. She cut the edges in half to tie the ends into a neat knot. Ani sat back and looked at her handiwork, clean and neat. "Done." She said finally looking at the boy, "I hope I didnt hurt you too much." She said in a sorry tone, "But it must be done." She said nodding.

The rain made soft sweet noises on the thick green leaves around him. Not bothering with rain water, Micheal left the brush behind him. Before was a clearing, it was grassy and would of been beautiful if it had been a sunny day, but now it was wet and dreary. He glanced a moment before continuing his walking. He was mid way through the field when a puddle caught the corner of his eye. He blinked a moment, and his feet took two step backwards. "What the hell?" He whispered softly to himself. The puddle was red and dark. Micheal bent on a knee as he reached his hand in, out he pulled and his fingertips were dripping with blood, thick red liquid. The smell was sickly sweet. Micheal whipped his hand away, sending the droplets from his fingers raining down. He looked at his coat, it was slick with blood.

Kira shook off her hood, seeing a red colored liquid slide off her cloak. She wondered what was causing the supposed blood rain, but that wasn't very important. She walked over to Shan, Yuki, Ani, and Phineas. Ani was almost done with patching up Phineas's stumps, which was good news to see. She looked up, trying to figure out when it would stop.

Ani stood up and brushed herself off of any dirt. She smiled at Phineas, "Just let me know when you feeling -- - " She was cut off as her eye caught the red liquid dripping from the shelter Shira had made, as well as the opening of the cave. "What on earth..?" She asked mostly herself as she made her way over to the edge of the sheltered area. She held out her hand and a several red dots appeared, she rubbed it, it was blood...really blood. She turned halfway to look at the others, "What is going on?" She asked. ...raining blood...shes never seen anything like this before. Somehow this term, this all seemed so familiar, but shes never experienced anything like this before.


Micheal gasped, and stumbled backwards, his hands swatting at the rain like flies. He'd never been so scared in his life, never feared anything like he did at that moment. He screamed a loud noise, sounding like a wounded animal. He fell backwards, he felt like a little child, trapped.

[[You're nakie~ XD sort of... ]]

Shan's wings stiffened, alert. She didn't like this one bit. And she was sure she heard something, not too far. She fingered her cloak tentatively. "Did anyone else hear that?" she asked the group. If she went out and walked towards danger, she would be the most easily spotted, but she would not allow the others to separate themselves from the group if she could help it.

Ari sniffed the air and almost gagged at the thick iron scent that was clotting the air. "It's blood," he said matter-of-factly, trying to not make the obvious statement that normally, in the real world, it did not rain blood. "Shan, what's -" And then there was the scream that seemed to echo above the forest, below the edge of the cliff. "Definitely." He replied weakly to Shan's question, a little worried by this sudden change in the atmosphere of their surrounding... all of a sudden, everything seemed so much more intimidating.

((Lolz...just playing around with my wardrobe...trying to refrain from spending my quest gold. XD))

Ani heard the scream, it was painful to hear that she found herself grimacing. She was still trying to figure out where she had been so familiar with this..blood rain.



Micheal screamed again, it echoed in his head, the blood that was so sweet to him before, was disgusting and sickening. He was covered in it, he was squirming on the grassy floor, his beautiful face covered with blood. If he was in his right mind he would be damned embarrassed at this point of weakness he was displaying. He was death to many, feared by all that knew his name. This would ruin his reputation as a death dealer, as a force to never be reckoned with. But he wasnt in his right mind. His nightmare was before him. He felt the blood of all those that he had killed rain upon him.

"I'm going out there," Shan stated. She took her cloak, intending to use it more as an umbrella than an actual cloak. "Please take care of each other in case anything happens." She walked out into the rain, holding the cloak open above her head. Her wings wouldn't fit completely, even when folded, but she felt safer in this form at the present time, and would not change back into her human form unless she was handsomely bribed. She set out in the direction of the voice, but the thick bloody rainfall made it difficult to see, even for her.
