Roy looked at Shan and started laughing. I have seen and done things I would've thought could never happen. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't lie to me...So why exactly haven't I been able to escape?

"You're stuck in a mix between the dream world and the real world. These endless mountains are part of someone's dream. You can exit through one point and one point only. If you don't know where it is, you're basically doomed.

"The Dreamweaver had some... emotional troubles. The gist of the matter is this: her troubles caused the dream world to mix with the real world. There are dreams roaming around, as well as horrible nightmares, especially when we get close to the core, where the Dreamweaver is."

Ani leaned aganist the wall of the underground lair. She could of grown the food right there, but Shan had already left and come again with food. She sat down on ground, her legs curled under her as she spread her hand out on the ground. She could feel the roots of the underground apple tree. It crawled under the dirt to her fingertips, before sprouting, a branch piercing the dirt ground and an apple developed within the leaves. Ani plucked it, and as fast as the leaves had bloomed, it disappeared back into the ground. She breathed on the apple, wiping away the dirt. Before taking a bite.
She listened to Shan's description of what was going on, nodding as she spoke.

"A mix between dreams and reality huh?...That would make a lot of sense."said Roy. He suddenly grew anxious. He grabbed a few apples and put them in his cloak. Then he waved his hand and vanished into thin air.

I should really warn him about doing that here. He might not end up whole the next time he does it... She stared at the spot where Roy had been. "I was going to ask him if he would join us, but I guess I can't do that now. I suppose that if he wants to, he'll follow us." She was standing now. "Eat what you can, carry what you like. We'll be heading out soon."

Kira sighed. It would have been nice to have more in the group, but it was his choice really. She took an apple and bit into it, feeling the sweet taste in her mouth. She had been listening for a while, but not really talking. She nodded to Shan as she had finished her apple.

Roy looked back at the group from afar. He was worried they would be hurt soon if he stood around any longer. He himself cannot stop the events to come. But he won't allow innocent people to be hurt.

"Oh well. Keep moving forward..." She picked up some fruit. "We have about six hours until the sun comes down, at which time, we should stop. It's not wise to travel at night."

Yuki stood up, ready to follow. "Maybe he's had some bad experiences and that's why he doesn't want to come," Yuki said, thinking for a bit. "He seemed a bit nervous, possibly for us."

Shan looked down at her son. "That could very well be true."

Roy looks up at the sun. He realizes he doesn't have much time left to prepare.

All this talk about the nightmares near the core, Demitra looked near her hips, to check if her weapons were still in place. They weer still there, but she slightly frowned as Roy disappeared to who knows where. Taking an apple and biting into it it, she felt better. It was time to move on. She put her hood on, and finished the apple, throwing the rest to the side.

"Are we all ready then?"

Yuki nodded, grasping his flute tighter. The tension would only increase from here on.

Kira ate the rest of her apple, core and seed, but threw away the stem. She stood up, brushing herself off of any dirt on herself. "As ready as I have been." She checked to make sure that her sword was still there and rested her hand on it, feeling the fabric on the thin layer of fabric woven on top of the hilt. They were going deeper into the dream world now and it could go either very well, or be a complete disaster.

"Be on your guard," Shan said wryly. "I will do my best to keep you out of danger, but I cannot guarantee anything, especially after sundown. Nightmares tend to prefer the darkness. It's in their nature. We probably won't run into anything tonight, but we can't be too careful." She wondered if she should tell them more of what she knew, of what had happened before, but hastily decided against it. Such thought made her anxious and she needed to focus. With a mental shake, she started walking, followed closely by her son.

Kira nodded at Shan as she listened to her speak. She had some experience with Nightmares, but it wasn't anything she had a lot knowledge of. She knew she needed to keep on her toes and make sure that she wouldn't he killed..or worse.

"There are worse things than dying," Shan said without looking back. "I should know." She thougth for a few moments. "Dying is easier in some ways."

Demitra had the urge to take out one of her canteens and start playing with her water, but she decided to follow Shan's advice and stay on guard. She put her hand inside of the pouch with the shurikens in it and twirled one around in her fingers.

Demitra had to think for a moment at Shan's last comment. She then nodded, slowly understanding what she meant.

Ani had finished the sweet apple, she dug a hole in the ground and covered the apple core, pressing her hand to it slightly. It would become dirt.

She stood up dusting herself off. "We might see him again. We should move, as Shan has stated already."

"Yes, we might," She said, heading in one general direction, away from where the sun would set.

Ani's thumb hooked on the belt across her chest. Her fingers lightly tapping on the leather bound book that hung from it. She followed after Shan. "Will each of us be encountering our own nightmare, or fantasy down here?" She asked as she was walking side by side the woman and her son. She offered a smile to Yuki before looking back at Shan, and then the path ahead they were walking.

Kira nodded in agreement, though she was a bit indifferent either way. She followed the others as she looked around. It was a bit different than what she expected, but what she expected wasn't much either. She pondered at Ani's question, thinking about that herself. She didn't really know what her nightmare would be or at least it was locked up in the back of her mind. She shrugged absentmindedly, but still had a bit of a grinding thought.

Yuki smiled back, shyly, then looked over at her mother for the answer she would give.

"Well, yes and no," she answered skeptically. They would of course, encounter their own nightmares and dreams, however, that was not the full truth. "We could eventually encounter each others' nightmares, as well as some others that we might not even be able to identify." She shuddered. "I was done in by my own nightmare, actually..."

Ani nodded, "What if we havent a nightmare, or fantasy? What if we dont know what our own nightmare is?" She asked in turn. She was unsure if she even had a nightmare. When she was younger, and without th earths love, she had the recurring nightmare of being left alone. But that had come to pass, as all her families heir line was gone now. She was alone, shes come over it, today...what would her nightmare be? She wondered this as well as she listened for Shans answer.

"I'm not sure what it is like to venture here without a nightmare, however, I can assume that if you don't know what your nightmare is, you will find out here. Sometimes you might find the past coming back to bite you." Shan's hands had grown a bit colder, even though the sun was more intense. "But if someone truly does not have any nightmare at all, they are indeed quite lucky. As long as they protect themselves from the nightmares of others, they should be better off than most."

Ani kept her attention on the road ahead. Her mind playing with the words from Shan. No nightmare, nightmares from the past, others nightmares. Something to look forward to, she thought to herself.

Sometimes you might find the past coming back to bite you? Demitra repeated Shan's words in her mind. Chills went up and down her spine. She tried her hardest to keep the past out of her head. She only wanted to think the happy thoughts about it. Not the horrible death of her mother. No, that was pushed out. So pushed out, in fact, that she turned out to be the happy, perky person she was today.

To change the subject, she asked sweetly, "Shan, tell us what your fantasy would be if we came across it in this land. Please?"
