girls have it easier.

1) we don't have to deal with ourselves at "that time of the month," guys do.
2) when we give birth, YOUR hand will take weeks to recover from us squeezing it until it snaps like dry kindling. We, however, have a sudden bost of a hormone that makes us completely FORGET the pain.
3) yes, we have heels, but we CHOOSE them, so they don't count. Men have to wear ties and collared shirts, which suck.
4) We get to actually express our emotions... ya'll have to stay all stoic and whatever.
5) When we get drunk and experimental, we can laugh it off with minimal embarrassment and guys watching happily... guys can't say the same thing.
6) it's still more likely guys will have to pay for the meal and date.
7) guys get to carry all the heavy stuff.
8 ) heh, if we're horny, we can HIDE it... poor guys....
9) If we cry, we can get whatever we want... guys can't do the same.
10) Heh, we're girls... guys have to deal with always being wrong.... or letting us think they are.... either one is difficult

I really do hope you're joking

1) Of course we do!!!... I mean we are in pain but they're not!.. (I don't have pain but I know people who do)
2) Eh... like no.. pregnancy hurts for like 9 months.. and you're carrying something there.. it's not comfortable at all
3) Also.. wrong.. some girls don't have a choice either! they have to wear heels for work and they don't like it! (like me)
4) .. some guys do express how they feel it all depends on the person
5) ...?
6) Likely... but not always
7) No way!... I don't let other people do my work if I can do it
8 ) TRUE
9) eh... this is just stupid.. girls who cry to get anything are stupid
10) No, guys can be right too, If I say something stupid and it's wrong I'd like to know about it.. not always I'm going to have the reason

I completely agree with number 8. What if you get horny at a really bad time? How embarrassing!

The others kind of depend on the person though. Not all guys & girls fit the stereotypes.

We get the joys of feeding the kid. Caring it for 9 months. You breast hurt a lot of the time. You could have pain for 24 hours before the birthing even begins. Guys don't HAVE to hold your hand but you HAVE to push something 8 pounds or so out of a small little hole. That hole has to get big some how. Like your skin has to be cut to get it out. Ya fun we have it so easy.

8 so true.

Ok I had to go home because of the pain from my joyful time of the month. I get migranes the hole time. I don't get to sleep. Ya again so easy. Guys just have to hear us bitch. I wonder why we bitch too.

If guys have to dress for work so do girls. I hate skirts but lots of places want you to wear them.

Who say guys have to not talk about personal stuff. Yes its harder but still its not like they can't.

If your drunk the guys may not just watch. Date rape much. There is a higher chance for us then guys.

Guys don't have to pay for everything. Go someplace like a park if you don't want to pay. Girls parents pay for the wedding in most traditions. Way more then a date. Thats to say you get that far.

We get what ever we want when we cry! When did THAT happen.

number 10 they get make up sex. XD idk

Ive gotta agree with Sevi's response to the points youve noted. Only number eight I can truly say is true.

But everything else is circumstantial. As far as Im concerned suits, are so much more comfortable than wearing a dress, stockings, etc. Try sleeping in a suit and then try sleeping in a dress and see which is more comfortable. Besides it doesnt matter what suit they wear, it always looks polished and classy. Girls have to get all dressed up and primped before we look 'good'.
As well as I hate when a guy pays my meals, or something. Only if hes like my husband or someone who Im intimately involved with otherwise, I pay my own way when I hang out with my boys.
For carrying heavy stuff, no way. Ive got 2 arms and 2 legs that are perfectly capable of lifting and carrying.
My guy friend express their emotions...all the time.
The whole drunk thing, I wouldnt know because I dont drink. But I can tell you that guys do embarrassing things and shrug it off the next day, or they turn it into this awesome thing.
Crying to get what you want...thats awful. its like guilting the person into it...which is too low for me to ever do.
And, lastly if Im wrong, Im wrong, if hes right, he right. I would feel awful that he just has to accept my answer as being right because Im a girl. And I love a good debate and argument. Wheres the fun in 'what I say is always right and goes'?

Thats my 2cents. ^-^

I disagree with many of these points.
1- Guys have to deal with our mood, but we have to deal with blood flowing out of our bodies, which also includes people whose physical condition causes frequent unconsciousness.
2- Not all men are in there to support us, let alone knowing that their child is being born.
3- :| We don't always choose to wear heels; it's a formal, more sophisticated shoe according to some, but for me it's always a pain to have to go to any formal occasion because of the heels.
4- Neither gender expresses every emotion they are feeling.
5- Other way around quite often, miss.
6- Well that's their decision. And women these days SHOULD learn to pay.
7- That was the stupidest point yet.
8- Okay, I agree with this one.
9- I often get beaten by my parents just for crying.
10- No...It depends on who they're talking to.

1.Guys don't have blood flowing out, cramps, or the possibility of anemia affecting them every month.
2.That's their choice to grip our hand, they might also not be in the room at all. Plus we have to stretch like 10 inches and then push the thing out.
3.I know a lot of girls who would rather wear sneakers or even go barefoot. That and women have to do more in order to look nice.
4.This is all based on personality
5.Total opposite
6.Likely, but then again in most cultures women have to pay for the wedding as WishingMoon said.
7.I can lift for myself
8.Touche
9.Girls who do that are beezies, plus it doesn't usually work.
10. Circumstantial

Just my thoughts on this...

I always find this kinds of discussion to lean towards girls having it worse off. I think both genders have their bad sides, and their good sides.

While yes, guys don't have to give birth.
Which always tends to be the major point females make, is that guys can't always have sex. Females might not be able to reproduce after mentopause, but guys have to deal with erectial disfunction that comes hand in hand with age. And yeah, their are pills and pumps and yadda yadda, but seriously, what guy wants to ask his wife 2 hours ahead of time if she plans on putting out that night?

As a guy, the biggest pressure I always felt is that I have to masculine. It's not socially acceptable to be a girlie guy, unless you're under 18. After that, people pick on you about it. Yeah yeah, what people think doesn't matter, but I do get sick and tired of fucking hearing that I'm a pussy and bitch boy.

LOL.

Girl definitely have it worse than guys.
Yeah....we both have our good and bad points...but...

Well, all the bad stuff everyone said eariler and I'd like to add more:

1. More likely to go into depression.
2. More likely to get forced into peer pressure.
3. More likely to think of suicide.
4. Always the ones doing all the housework...
5. Guys can have sex as many times as they want without it hurting them...[Unless the girl gets a disease or gets pregnant]
6. The more emotional ones are girls...
7. Are always expected to be sexy and beautiful.
8. Is expected to waste many hours on looking beautiful.
9. If a guy and girl have the same job, and work quite the same [or even if the girl is better!] the guy ALWAYS gets better pay.
10. Girls are considerd sluts if they have sex....but guys aren't even called manwhores...they are actually praised and called pimps! D:
11. Girls are much more bullied than guys are.
12. Girls are weaker and cannot really defend themselves....

Can't really think of anymore at the moment....D:

I don't think either gender really "has it easier." Both have their benefits and hardships but I think it pretty much evens out.

Are you serious...? I hope not.
1) It really depends on the person, most of my female friends are rational enough not to use that time of the month as a pathetic excuse for bitching.

2) WTF, all of the mothers i have spoken to so far said the pain is close to tearing off your arm with no pain reliever. Worst pain of their life. I don't doubt their words either =.=;;; Even when you have surgery birth, the switches and wounds hurt like hell afterward...

3) Men chose to wear those also, so they don't count. What should be mention is bras and boobs, they are painful and uncomfortable. Even out to the tie and collars, no?

4)Who said men can't, they have their own way to do that also, we have ours.

5)...=/ that swings both sides, i have no clue what kinds of girls you are talking about =.=;;; seriously, if you are talking about those girls gone wild, i'll shut up here.

7-9 is true, but i could also come up with other pros for being a guy to even those out.

I'm not even gonna comment on 10.

1) So sticking a tampon up there or wearing pads, and wasting tons of money on this isnt having to deal with it? Some women have their period a full week. 7 days...like me. And generally its pretty heavy till about the 5th day. Not fun. I'm one of the "lucky" ones however because i do NOT experience cramps, i know a few girls that get DEBILITATING cramps and have to stay home for it...not fun.

2) So..carrying a baby for 9 months then having your uterus contract and push along with other muscles in your body for sometimes 24+ hours isnt bad? Sure theres Epiderals but thats if you're lucky enough to get one in time. My sister in law had her second child natural because she went into labor before they could get it all set up...ouch. Then theres times where they have to make a little cut down there to prevent tearing that may occuur when birthing happens. That means that there are some women whos skin will literally tear apart as the childs head goes through. Then theres women who have c-sections...yeah i dont think guys have it easier.

3) Women wear ties, there are some companies that make them. Bowties too. And collared shirts. Like certain catering companies and heck even movie theatres will make their uniforms contain those things.

4) They dont have to stay stoic, its more they chose to because they think they might look like wussies if they dont. Thats bad. People NEED to show emotion, keeping it all bottled up inside is actually bad for you.

5) Minimal embarassment? You're kidding. So if you had someone take pictures of you making out with your sister when you were drunk you would just "laugh it off"? @[email protected] Heck no i would hide my face for the rest of my life! I think women who do that "experimental" crap are actually only a little buzzy and doing it for attention, not just because they are "drunk"

6) This is true, but what if i WANT to pay? I cant stand it when people feel the need to always pay for me or things like that because im a girl. I like being able to treat people too! I used to have to wrestle my boyfriend for the check sometimes and it always annoyed me D:

7) Most women do that, i am one that gets right in there and helps out. Heck TWICE when my boyfriend and i moved it was just him and me. We carried everything in/out of the truck and wherever we were moving in/out of, even up STAIRS...not fun.

8) I will give you that one.

9) Only if you're a pampered princess, i dont believe in taking advantage of things like that.

10) That goes both ways, guys thing women are overbearing and controlling..or knowitalls. Girls think men are just oafs to carry stuff when they move. ;P

Anywho, not attacking you just the points of view expressed...i disagree whole heartedly on quite a few of them...except 8.

I think maybe the thread maker should be around to discuss it. I dislike how most people just post their opinions and move on. *misses real dicussions*

Debates are far more interesting and usually more conversation driven, but the topics are so heavy.

Nope not at all. Especially if you include pregnancy.
With the harsh reality that pregnancy can still be fatal at worst, it's hard to top that when the worst a man has to do is being supportive and put in sperm at the start of the ordeal.

Anyone see the body worlds exhibit?, sometimes they included a dead pregnant person, with the dead baby inside of her.

On the bright side, I feel females are the tougher of the sexes because of what they need to endure to reproduce.

Cx Hehehe, i'll discuss with you!

You said something about feminine guys not being accepted, hey, i think it swing pretty bad too over here =.=;;; I am an Asian girl, my culture is really harsh on women. People in my family expects me to be neat, graceful, elegant, patience, put off to my husband's every whim in order to create a happy family, always putting family ahead of self when family really means your husband...=/ It makes me sad to even think about their expectation, so unfair. Because i am living in America, i had room for not obeying these silly standards. BUt back home, i think i would go insane. I am not headed, messy, not refined, rough, couldn't careless about guys otherwise i'd be a lesbian, etc.

Here goes...
1) Who says we don't have to deal with ourselves? Man, I drive myself crazy with my seesawing bitch/sorry for myself once a month. Granted, everyone else has to put up with it too, but I really find myself to be an evil pain in the butt and don't enjoy being be during that time of month. So - draw.
2) Putting aside the fact that we do forget the pain when giving birth, it STILL DAMN HURTS! I went through 49 hours of labour before finally squeezing my daughter out. I'd like to see a guy do that. A semi-crushed hand that will eventually heal is nothing compared to pushing something the size of a watermelon out of a hole certainly not designed for watermelons. So - guys.
3) Ties and collared shirts for men are business wear, as are shoes and suits for women. Men don't HAVE to wear ties, especially lately with so many spiffy looking dress shirts and the like flooding the shops. Besides, ties are cool. I like ties, and occasionally wear one myself! They can look darn cool with the right outfit. You want uncomfortable clothing. Look under your shirt and find the dreaded BRA. Even when perfectly sized for you, they are still annoying. So - guys.
4) Men only stay stoic because it is what is expected of them to keep up the manly image. There's no reason they can't express their emotions if they don't mind getting hassled by their less-well-adjusted and more-neanderthalic mates. I prefer men to be sensitive. If I want tough and stoic, I'll go get myself a wooden cigar indian. Still, the peer ribbing males would get makes me give this to - girls.
5) Says who? What's good for the goose is good for the gander - well, apart from the turnaround of girls watching guys get experimental. I know I wouldn't really want to watch, even though I don't have a problem with it. If I was watching that happen rather than keeping my eyes on important stuff, someone might steal my beer. Sure, female drunken experimentation is a little more 'acceptable' to most than male, but there's no reason it should be. Anyway - girls.
6) Sadly, many women DO still expect a male to pay for dinner etc on a date. This sort of attitude is a throwback to a female submissive social mentality, in my opinion. Personally, I prefer to go halves, and sometimes will even pay for the whole thing myself. But then again, there are tales of the men going out with no cash on them and expecting the woman to pay. So - draw.
7) Guys carrying heavy stuff? Ahem. Single mother here, who moved into her house without aid from removalists, and who regularly rearranges furniture all be herself... However, it is true that men in general are stronger, so considering their ability to lift the heavy stuff EASIER, and open jars easily, I would say this doesn't mean that they have it harder. Quite the reverse, actually! So - guys.
8 ) Okay, the comment on horny - yup. I will say that this is a certain 'poor guys' situation. So - girls.
9) If we cry, we can get whatever we want? Please, how manipulative is that? I'd much rather get what I want through negotiation and earning it that turning on the waterworks. This is another action that's going to hurt the female equality issue, so I say this may make it easier for girls in the short term, but long term it just makes us pathetic. So - nobody.
10) I'm not going to touch this one, frankly. But anyway, from a small amount of personal opinion and a large amount of typing, we can see that things work out more in favour of guys having it easier than it does for girls. So not fair.

The only number I agree on is 8 but others have pretty much expressed all and beyond how I feel about the other statements. Not all guys are macho and bottled up, they don't always have to dress in suits and ties *construction, gardening, maintenance of any kind*, and so on and so forth. Not to mention they get paid better and not as much harassment as females receive.
