@Ariel:: Yeah I love meat too! Especially sushi and chicken wings! But I feel strongly about what I believe in. Sacrifices must be made!

I was a vegetarian from Jan 28th 07 to feb 9 08 ^^ More than a year. Why i quit? Well because it's noy very healthy.. And i really wanted to eat it again.

If you want to eat meat and don't agree with the abuse the animals go through, i suggest Organic foods.
Organic food are free range, that means they aren't in a little gate and it's not crammed full. And The organic food animals don't get steroids and such injected in them.

I disagree with the animal abuse and such, i think it's wrong. Not only that the animals are dying, but they are dying in horrible ways. (abused) Also i don't agree with
putting steroids and things like that in meat, it's wrong.. Very unnatural.. Errr. Makes me mad..

I'm a carnivore through and through. Red meat, white meat, seafood... anything that was a critter is yummy! Okay, that might be a slight exaggeration. The way I see it though, people aren't going to stop selling meat just because I decide it's cruel of whatnot, and seeing as the animal is dead already, it would be wasteful to not eat it. Besides, I need the iron I get from red meat. Spinach and the like just isn't enough, even supplemented with iron tablets.

I can see your point but I am vegetarian and I am not expecting companies to shut down becaus ei am not eating their meat. I mean I would like that, but I know it's not gonna happen. I am vegetarian becaus eit helps me sleep at night.

And even though the animal is dead and it's wasteful to not eat it, wouldn't it be nice for it to not die at all? What would happen if people stopped killing the animals... Would you still eat meat?

Back on the topic, I'm a filthy meat-eater. My personal ethics regarding the species I eat is that I cannot eat anything that I can't stand to prepare myself. That means hunting it, killing it, skinning it, the whole works.

As far as vegetarians, I have no opinion one way or the other really (unless they are also malnourished in which case I worry.) The most thought I usually give to it is to remember to fix them appropriate food, and to ask what foods they'd rather I not eat in front of them. For example, I neither shell crawfish nor boil live ones in front of my sister-in-law, because it makes her sick. Eating or preparing already-shelled crawfish is fine though.

Not sure everyone I know eats it. I come from a long line of meat eaters lol.

I do not know anyone that is vegan I have meet a few people on the internet that where but that is about it.

I just like meat I do not like thinking about where it came from or how. But I love meat I always have.

I tell them to try it with BBQ XD

I do not it is really no different from me we just have different opinions or taste.

I do not see a difference really I might try to tempt them lol. It is hard.. do you know what you are missing? it is so good. Its like eating a cookie that is just awesome of course you want to share it with a friend.

So you are saying that people who do not eat meat are not smart? That's pretty rude.

I get my proteins from peanut butter, tofu, and other vegetarian products and vitamin supplements containing protein. Just because you do not eat meat does not mean you do not get enough protein.

I was pretty much raised on meat. My dad's one of those guys who loves to cook, barbeque, and smoke meat. And it's just so good! Plus the fat in meat is good for me since I have a fast metabolism. I tried to go vegetarian one time. That lasted for about a week...

I have to say that I have much respect for vegetarians and vegans. Putting your values above basic human nature is very impressive. I certainly can't do it xD

I was a vegetarian (NOT vegan) for about 1 1/2 years, and to this day I still don't eat that much meat. It's more of a very rare treat for me than a diet staple.

I really don't care if other people eat meat around me, as long as they don't bug me to do the same if I dont want to. One time I was at subway and my boyfriend ordered a steak-and-cheese sub, while I ordered a veggie sub. He tried to get me to eat half of his sub, but i told him flat out that I just didn't feel like eating meat right then.

Eee, that's a hard one. My taste buds would still cry out for it, but I think my heart would overrule them and I would stop eating meat. Could I still eat prawns though? I would simple fade away if I couldn't have the occasional barbequed prawn...

When I'm with vegetarians or vegans I really don't care what they will be eating. They can eat whatever they want, I wouldn't taunt them or stuff like that, but I wouldn't eat something vegetarian just to please them. They can eat what they want, so I can eat what I want. Not a big deal.

I eat meat, not oh so much though.
I admit, I don't agree with how the animals are treated, but becoming a vegetarian won't stop that. D: And we do a lot of fancy cooking in this house, and a lot of the stuff we make involves a little bit of meat. xD

I eat chicken and I eat turkey on sandwiches. That's it. No pig or cow or fish or anything else. and the turkey is rare. The only thing I really eat on a regular basis is chicken.

Any particular reason why you feel you can eat chicken and turkey, but not pig or cow or fish or anything else?

I'm Vegan ... I choose not to eat animal products because I do not believe that it is right to kill another living creature for the sake of food .... besides there are fruits and veggies you can eat too .. not to mention all the variety of things you can eat ...

Heh, there is even a donut place where they sell vegan donuts where I live .. yes .. vegan donuts at a donut shop!!! Places out there are hard to find like that ... its not that hard to not eat meat ... I've done it for years ^_^ lol

I am a meat-eater, and I have yet to need to "deal" with a non-meat-eater.

The only time I don't eat meat that came from an animal is when I have to take it apart myself, or when I watch the animal die. It's just too uncomfortable.

So, how exactly would you choose to "deal" with a vegetarian?

Hmm, I could be a vegetarian, I don't really eat that much meat. I only eat chicken or a cheese burger every once in a blue moon. I don't really have a problem with vegetarians or vegans. It's their choice, ya know?
