Who is most of us? You can't seriously be suggesting that the world has plenty of food as it is. No matter what 'form' the food is in, be it meat or plant, there are millions starving!

Also, I never said others should eat meat if they liked the taste. That was just part of my personal decision. All in all, I don't really care what other people's diets are. I'm not going on some sort of crusade to get people to eat meat.

As to the 'meat eater' bit, that's just stating the obvious.

I eat meat. I don't have a problem with vegaterians, because it's your choice.
But in my personal opinion, I'm not going to deny my body the proper proteins and other essentials that meat has just because I don't agree with how they kill the animal, as long as I don't have to kill it myself. And either way, they will keep killing the cattle, chickens, etc. because that is what they were bred for. Wrong? Yes. But I don't feel like I'd save a chickens life just because I didn't eat poultry that night, because that's not how it works.

I eat meat. :3
I loooove meat. >: D

I think anyone who doesn't like meat because animals were killed to make the food, are pussies.
Yeah, it sucks that to make veal, you have to put a baby cow in a cage for all it's life.
But that's how life is.
Animals kill each other to eat each other.
And I'm sure if animals knew that making a baby cow sit in a cage for a long time makes veal, and they liked veal, then they would do it too.

I don't like animal cruelty. But that's life.
Can't do anything about it. Well, unless some one was beating a dog in front of you, of course you're gonna be like O SHIT NGR WTF ARE U DOING? D:< And stop them.
So just eat the baby cow already.
SUCK ALL THE MEAT JUICES OUT OF IT NOM NOM NOM.

I eat meat. It is rather tasty, but I am very picky about it, and I honestly prefer fish or chicken to anything else.
I'd like to be a vegetarian, but everyone else in my family eats meat, and they won't cook vegetarian food, they won't even buy me stuff to cook for myself, or let me cook myself for dinner, I'd had to just sit at the table during dinner until they are done, and then I could cook. :/ It's just not worth it.

No, its not the whole killing animals thing that bothers me, it's most that meat is just kindof gross, cooking it can be difficult, and there are tasty vegetarian foods out there too.

I only eat chicken and fish, does that count? According to a Times article several years ago, people who eat veggies, chicken and fish are called "polo vegetarians".

The reason why I don't eat any other type of meat is because they taste bad... but I don't eat pork for a very special reason. If anyone has seen the movie "Animal Farm", they will know why. ;>.>

But yeah, I've known vegetarians that only eat veggies. I don't see why people would dislike them. o.O;; Vegetarian imitation meat made out of tofu and soy products are yummy. It's amazing what they can do with those... :D

If you put something on it, it's not that bad. Like, with my tofu hamburgers/hot dogs, I have to put ketchup on to make it more appealing. My mom, however, (who eats meat and my tofu foods) can eat them plain.

If you disagree with how the animals are treated then you could always look for free-range meats. These animals are allowed to roam around and generally lead a pleasant life.

My friend does that...though she refuses to eat the animals raised on HER farm. I guess it would be disturbing, having to eat something that you saw walking around the day before.

Don't get me wrong - I feel like junk eating ANY meat D: I hate doing so - but sometimes meat is good for you and so I will eat it. and I just like the taste of chicken over everything else. Especially with red meats - I feel like I'm eating blood. at least with chicked you cook it all the way through. My parents and brother and boyfriend all eat meat medium or medium rare...and I can't even look at it. It's probably worse because I just can't stand blood. It makes me sick thinking about it.

If I could I would not eat meat at all...but, especially with my family, it's hard to avoid. and I feel bad, but I like to eat chicken. That's it. Turkey I can handle..but not too much.

I don't really know why I can eat poultry over anything else. But...it's just the way I am D: I hope that I don't offend you.

I am proud and happy to say I am a carnivore. Vegitarians don't bother me, I figure to each their own.

Except you forgot some of us are being herbivores for other reasons as well.
The example I usually give is: are you morally opposed to killing cockroaches? ( most people are not)...well then, why not eat them?.
So you can see that even if someone is OK with animals being killed for meat, they still may not want to eat them.

Oh no, you totally did not offend me. I am just always interested in why people make the choices that they do.

It's all good!

I love meat, but sometimes I just can't eat it. I get to thinking about the animals and then it's just, ew. ;0
But I could never become an actual vegitarian. Meat overall is just too yummy. x]

I personally eat meat. But not a whole bunch. Like an ohmaigawdcowkiller or something.
Being vegetarian and/or vegan is perfectly acceptable by me.
It's probably just as, if not more, healthy than what I eat.

However, some of the things like no eggs, I find silly. How are the chickens harmed?

Well Din, if you do some serious research of egg plants where hens lay their eggs, you will understand why some ppl choose not to eat them. The chickens are treated terribly and kept in disgusting conditions. Some even have their beaks cut off so they cannot bite the farmers who work with them. It's horrid.

Not all egg plants where hens lay eggs are like that but a vast majority of them are.

I'm not a vegetarian but, I am careful about the meat I eat. I tend to like free range stuff . My mom (all of my life) has been a vegetarian and a lot of people i know are vegans. So I have had my fair share of meatless products over my life. Its hard to be a strict vegetarian though because any time you eat out you run the risk of your food being cooked where a meat dish was prepared on. Also ingredients that may seem vegetarian but are not. Like your pasta is cooked in chicken broth. All you can do is try though and I admire people who have the will power to do so.

-Meat eaters, how do deal with vegetarians/vegans? I don't have a problem with them as long as they don't try to push their opinion onto me. Don't get me wrong, I'm willing to listen to all sides and I can agree with both sides of the topic, but I don't like someone trying to tell me that what I'm doing is wrong. That's fine if that's what you think, but don't try to make me think like you.

-Meat eaters, do you agree/disagree, like/dislike non-meat eaters? I agree with them, and I like non-meat eaters. Like I said above, just don't push your opinion on me and we're cool.

I don't mind people being vegetarians. I am not to fond of cooking meet myself. I can do chopped meet and make a stake, but I can't deal with preparing. It's too disgusting.

However I love meat and I will continue eating it even if it offends other people. It's not like I'll do it in there home. It's a free world though.

Honestly though if the meat is there we might as well eat it. :o Okay.... maybe that's a little insensitive.

I am vegan. I don't eat meat because I don't think its right to kill another living creature for the sake of food ... I think its wrong ...

I'm vegan, but when people who eat meat are around me doesn't bother me much ... i am the only one who doesn't eat meat in the house so I've gotten used to it ... I eat with my family ... I have my meal ... and my family will always have something meat or just animal related foods on the table ... I don't like the smell, but as long as their food doesn't get mixed in with mine, I'm happy.

I'm a carnivore. I just treat vegan and vegitarians like normal people, but remember they don't like meat. Other than that, I don't have a problem with them.
--------------------------------
However, I still think it's kinda wrong to not eat meat. It has protiens that you need. Sure, you could get some of them from soy, but I still think EVERYONE should eat some kind of meat.

There are other ways are getting what you need ... weither its through vitamin supplements of fortified foods that provide the nutruients you need. there is just so many alternatives to foods and ways to be healthy. also protien can be found with soy nuts too ... or nuts in general ... they are a good source for that.

I'm prefectly fine with vegetarians. When I was in about 6th I was this close to becoming one. I eat meat now because I like more types of food and I'm less picky then I was when I was little. It's just I have a hard time with the whole vagan thing. It just way to hard to get the right nutrient. I also have a thing with people raised as a vegetarian. I mean if they never had any meat or if they are a vagen then cheese or eggs or ice cream then how would they know if they would like it or not? My cousin's cousins are raised as vegans and I just think they should atleast have the right nutrient when they are babies and have a little say when they are older and decide. I mean they will when they are older but when they are developing they need the right things. Sure you can give them vitamins and supplements but isn't it a bit easier to give them a ham sandwich or some turkey on thankgiving?
