You're colorblind? That's gotta suck donkey balls.

See, the true color of my hair was news to me when my boyfriend mentioned it to me once. ^^; And I didn't know about it till I was nearly 12, so it doesn't really impair me.I just will sometimes say things that make people give me funny looks.

You should! I thought it looked nice. :)
RE: Looking good - In real life, I totally don't even care. xD My avatar is a chance to play with fun combos and stuff I wouldn't wear for reals.

I prefer skirts but the problem is that there are very few skirts in petite ranges and they're all long and the only short skirts available would never cover my behind.

Ohhh. So it's not like you can't see any colors at all, you just can't see some very well.

xDD
It's kinda hard to explain why I fail every color blind test ever and still can identify colors with ease most of the time. My personal theory is that since I didn't find out till much later, I had that time I was growing up to adapt to it. Sometimes I will look at purple/blue things and not be able to tell the difference. Or like this weekend my brother was showing me a backpack with accents that looked hot pink to me, but were apparently actually a pure red color. (Don't ask me how that works. o_O) i can still see all the colors though, I just don't ID them right sometimes. xD
funny story: My co-workers at school once were laughing over this tshirt while I was around. So I went to see what was so funny.. and didn't get it. Since I can't see what it says. So they all got a good laugh out of my clueless look. Although interestingly enough, if I look at it hard enough, I can see the F, U, and some darker orangey dots that I can *almost* make into letters, but not enough to be able to read it.

Ohhh. I see. So the colors are just a little off to you.
Just out of curiosity (and this is the only annoying question I'll pester you with about this, I promise), does my text look hot pink or red?

I'd hate to be colourblind. If I was to lose some colour perception, I'd have the colour perception of a neurotypical. OK that's weird....... sorry.

I think being color blind would be a good thing with all these eye burning neon tops that are going round.

Neon colours? White does it more for me as does strip lighting and anything that flickers.

I always kinda got the feeling that if one had, from the beginning, not been able to see colors, it wouldn't be as dull as we think it would be. I mean, the person wouldn't know any other existence and it would seem normal.
if you lost the ability later in life though...
*also wonders about the neon tops*

Well, yeah, they wouldn't know what they were missing. So it wouldn't be bad for them. But I mean, compared to what they could have, it's dull.
Like a person that's born blind. Having never been able to see, they wouldn't really miss it. But it's still sad in contrast to what most people have.

They're everywhere, well where I am, it's white trousers and neon yellow, orange, green and pink tops. Bright sunlight + neon tops = ARGH MAH EYES!
Alot of people wear them out at night and they still burn the eyeballs.

I'm on holiday at the moment, so I can be the fashion police and play spot the British tourist. How to spot the British tourist wearing the neon top, white trousers or shorts that don't cover half of what they're supposed to and stupidly high heels which they go wobbling along in.

IT is and you can spot who's fallen of their heels or down the curb in then they go round in flat shoes with their foot bandaged up. Or they've fallen down the curb during a power cut.
And the way to spot male British tourists they go round with their football shirt tucked in their long shorts at one side, with un-natrually white trainers or black ones.

I come from England so it's very annoying to see masses of people going round dressed the same. Then you wonder where these stereotypes for British people come from.
