Twas funny while doing it because it mixes up into a paste so it doesn't drip when you put in on. So I was walking round the house with pink horns for an hour, after having to hair clip my hair up to stop it hitting me in the face.

HIM - Yeah, hair dye can be obnoxious while it's setting.
What's worse is when your scalp itches. XD You go to scratch it, and then you have a colored finger.

The dye I use normally takes about half an hour to and hour to develop properly so I end up sitting on the floor that that ammount of time seeing as I'm not allowed on the sofa with hair dye incase it drips.

HIM - Oh, that sucks! Mine usually only takes about 20-30 minutes.

It depends on which brand type of dye I use. I used a natural blue dye and that took an hour and a half to get a good color.

Special Effects Dye, Manic Panic Dye, Crazy Color Dye, Directions Dye and Stargazer Dye are all vegtable based dyes. I've used a Manic Panic dye which I found was a good one.

I only dyed my hair once. It was temp spray in stuff, so if it dried or not is up for interpretation. It was cool though. I liked having a blue head.

As some of you may have noticed, I like the color blue.

My school wouldn't have it. They give me enough crap about my hair as it is. My hair will only stay down if it's long and I put a shitload of stuff in it. Then they get up on my case about it being too long. Grah. I got a solution, though. I wear hats now, so that tends to tame my hair a bit. The other half is a general not caring how shitty it looks. The dean can go bugger off.

All I can find here is natural color dyes (like blondes, browns, reds and blacks) in a thousand shades (but with unnatural ingredients) or really shitty quality artificial colors (bright red, blue, green, purple, etc.)
I could probably find some in more natural stores, but they always cost a fortune. D:

Aww. Why aren't you allowed to bleach it?
Would your parents let you bleach it if you were going to dye it a dark color afterwards? Like a dark red or brown?

Yeah - I have that color hair too. XD I call it "amber" because it encompasses all three colors. :B But my hair can and will go white blonde on its own if I give it enough sun. :B

On the subject of hair: Mine is somewhere between blonde and brown, dirty blonde I guess? I've been adding blonde back into my hair ever since I was thirteen and it started fading out, but now I've been letting it gradually grow back into my natural color.

My mom's always, "Anything you do to your hair will damage it!"
Which is funny, because she used to get perms ( I shudder, too ), and she colors her hair every few months to cover the whites. ==;
I can't even use the straightener without getting reprimanded.
