Well, most people wouldn't get it if they read it, but it was a roleplay with a friend... and it's full of inside jokes and plot that makes no sense. xD;;

I'm definitely going to be doing some serious(er) roleplaying over the summer, though. xD; It's something I've really wanted to try. >w<


OH and on the the topic of Pokemons, WHO'S SEEN THE POKEDUNGEON COMMERCIALS?!?!

I'm getting desperately into role-playing at the moment... It's like I don't have enough to do some days. u_u; So I might have the thread ready to go tonight, even. I haven't seen the Pokedungeon commercials... but I heard about them. XD I think probably the people who created the commercial are entirely familiar with the "mudkip" meme - and that's why they did it. XD

Having studied the media (I'm a public relations major, which means I learn the same thing any media person will plus a bit of advertising), our textbooks in the last few years have advised that a savvy media consultant will keep an ear on the new media (internet) for trends. You use those trends (whether it's fashion trends on a commercial actor or quoting something that off-hand references a meme) and you're likely to attract the attention of those familiar with them, making them more inclined to use your services/buy your product. XD

As CK said, I'm sure that the media knows about all the meme-trends. It's all about harnessing that to sell the product more effectively.

Not to mention... Mudkip IS one of the starter Pokemon in one of the game sets.. so it's not totally unreasonable.

Oh memes, how they rule the world now it seems. XD I'm always startled when they spill over into other media aside from the internet though. :0 Generally because it's a poor unfunny attempt to cash in.
