That's never happened to me. But then again, I NEVER list my IM names on sites. I only give them away privately.
Publicly listing your IM name is just asking for stuff like that to happen.

I got someone asking for me to given them by bain-thingy to them. Errrrrrrmm....DELETE! The only time I have ever given something expensive away for slightly less than I wanted was to someone who wanted and item I was selling but didn't have enough gold at that time. So I sold it to them for a couple of thousand under what I wanted for it.

I actually actively list my AIM name on most sites and I rarely have problems with people IMing me. I've found that most people just don't bother looking for it and then doing something. It's easy enough to block a person if you don't wanna talk.

The only IMs I from people on the sites I'm on is from the people I already know off the internet mainly saying can I have my items back yet. Blahaha tis fun to lend out items then I can use it again my friends.

I got them frequently. I'd just report them and move on.

Reporting it doesn't do any good, though. XD The emails tell you, "report this if it's not you trying to get in!" what happens is they email back (if they do, that is) with a snotty reminder to change your password.
