I have a friend addicted to Pepsi...
She loves... pretty much every Pepsi flavor... ever...
o0;;
And I used to be friends with a girl who was addicted to soda...
Mostly coke, though. =P
But I also have a friend addicted to water and juice.
And another to apple juice.
xD
So it all evens out.
Edit;
@ Ferra:
Hunh, really?
Funnily enough, I have a brother addicted to tea, too.
>>;
You know, I always wondered what exactly flavors cola...
It's like... it's own flavor, but...
I mean... it must've came from something!

Tea...
The only teas I know of are red tea, green tea, chrysanthemum tea, and Earl Grey ( but I actually don't know what this tastes like ). >>;
I also know that chamomile or some tea that starts with a c tastes really gross... or it could just be the one I tried, though... =P

I looked cola up on wiki to see what the flavoring is!
Quote:
|
Despite the name, the primary flavoring ingredients in a cola drink are sugar, vanilla, lime peel, cinnamon, and orange peel[citation needed] different manufacturers of cola drinks add other trace ingredients to the drink in addition to these flavorings in order to create distinctively different tastes for each brand.

I like regular Pepsi, but not Cherry Pepsi. It makes me sick. But I like Cherry Coke.

Coke cola was originally called this because it had coke in it, this was before coke was considered a drug,illegal and harmful to one's health. It was used to make the drinker get addicted to the cola and thus buy more.

It wasn't straight cocaine. They used the leaves of the plant that they make cocaine from. But they would use the leaves that had already been used in the extraction and thus contained trace amounts of the drug. The leaves are coca leaves, hence the name. And the beans used to give caffeine were the kola beans.
Soo... coca - kola!

It doesn't matter what exactly the used of it, all that matters is..they still used coca/cocaine.

Wow - Kukon... You really are a picky eater. XD;
I have a lot more energy when I eat and drink healthily... Whenever I have a week or so when I eat a lot of fast food, I drag around a lot. But when I go back on home-cooked meals, I feel a lot better.
I lost pretty much all my taste for soda. There are only two kinds of sodas I can drink any longer - root beer or Jones (brand) sodas. I don't know why root beer is 'okay', but I know Jones soda is made from cane sugar rather than processed sugar, which is probably why I can drink it.
Even then, I still don't drink much other than water (during the hot months) and hot tea (during the cold months). I also like hot chocolate/hot cocoa, eggnog (cut with milk), milk (particularly flavored), and juices. :3
The chocolate-peanut-butter drink you were talking about earlier, Ferra, sounds pretty good. XD I'd drink it. Or at least try it. Don't think I could manage 32 ounces, though. D:
But earlier you also said the word 'mango'... Which I never eat because they always give me headaches, no matter how little mango I put into a smoothie. ;_; It makes me sad. I like peaches okay and they're similar.... And I love the word "mango". Mango.
Congrats, in here, to Fiarra, btw! :heart:

I don't think it'd kill me or anything. XD Girls at work are actually actively allergic to some of the things we make. One of them is allergic to coconut and the other is allergic to bananas. ._x... I just get headaches from eating mango... (Mangos? Mangoes? I may need to look that up... Oh, maybe it's one of those plurals without the "s". Mango = Mango, Sheep = Sheep, Deer = Deer)

@Kukon: Why does it matter that it contained cocaine? It had an extremely minute amount in it, and that was only for a short while. ^^; (I actually went to a Coca-cola factory years ago and won prizes for answering trivia questions about it's history. XD)
@tentenpuff: Chamomile was one of the first teas I've tried and is actually one of my favorites. XD It's supposed to make you tired (so I was told) but I'd always drink it in the morning or midday just because I liked the taste. I've never usually been affected by things that are supposed to hype me up or make me drowsy.
@CK: I'd like to try a sip, but there are a lot more drinks on our menu I'd rather try first, especially the ones that aren't on the menu but you can order anyways. XD Like the Pink Star, which tastes a lot like pink Starbust candies, although I actually have gotten a chance to try that one.
EDIT: My friend is deathly allergic to strawberries, which are in most of the drinks. Even if she ordered something without them, there's a high risk of cross contamination so I'd prefer not taking that chance. @ [email protected]; She ate fondue once that someone just dipped strawberries in and got sick afterwards.

Prizes are fun. xD;;
Hunh, really? Maybe it was just the tea I tried, I don't know... It was really sickly sweet, it kind of grossed me out. .__. ;;
I couldn't bear it; I gave it to my mom. xD;
I have a friend who's sister is allergic to fresh fruit. D:

@tentenpuff: I got Coco-cola memorabilia. XD Little things like a coke bottle coin jar, stuffed polar bear, etc. That's what I get for paying attention, since he gave us a story about the founding of coco-cola before quizzing us but we didn't know there'd be prizes. ;D
It probably was chamomile since it has a distinct taste. It is really nostalgic and tasty to me, but I don't think many people would think "oh, I think I'll have some chamomile today!" Especially not a young adult like myself. XD
Usually I drink iced tea since it's more convenient, and I especially like the Snapple and organic ones. I learned to like the taste of regular tea cold too when I went to Japan, since it was served to me often (hot tea is no good in the summer).

Bleh! Cold tea. XD ::thumbs down::
I'll drink tepid tea if I can't heat it back up, but I can't drink cold tea. Particularly not tea that's meant to be drunk cold. :c It was only in the last few years that I even drank hot tea at all. XD And that was more because I had a really bad cough (I broke my tail bone from coughing so hard - I don't think it ever healed quite right :c ) and I was told that hot tea would help.
And I'd read somewhere that local honey would also help you during sinus allergy season because local honey contains local pollens which helps your immune system! (And, considering honey is a natural cough suppressant... it helps a lot all over!)
So I drank hot tea, grew to like it and have had fewer coughs since. :o
*rambles in uninteresting ways* >_>;
Ferra - You have a fabulous recall. XD

How'd your laptop break?
|
I'm even less active than that. I sign in about once a week just to read the announcements. I don't really have any friends over there, so yeah.
Like, where you plug the power cord into the laptop. A little part there in the laptop broke. So it can't get power to it anymore.
Apparently it's VERY common in laptops. And like, you can just solder the piece back on. But NO professional will do that, because they can't guarantee that'll hold up forevar. So if you want it done, you have to do it yourself and risk fuxing it up.
That, or you can replace the whole motherboard. Then you might as well just get a new laptop.
Sux.
CK - Oh my! How do you break your tailbone from COUGHING? O_O
I fractured mine once, I think. I was at this pumpkin patch, and I could have sworn there was a hay bale behind me. So I went to lean back on it, and it wasn't there, so I fell flat on my ass. It would have been funny, but the ground was SO hard. It hurt A LOT.
For a few years, if I bent over for more than a few seconds, my ass would hurt. (I know, that sounds so bad. XD But seriously.)
It's not like that anymore, though. So I'm sure yours will heal up eventually, too. ^^
