These are the mini pigs. They've been specially bred so that they only grow to a fifth of the size of a normal pig. They so cute but really expensive.

Hey, if they can make chickens with tails and scales, they can make widdle piggies.

You can get certain breeds of pig that are small and you just keep selectively breeding the pigs so you can get tiny pigs like those ones.

They didn't survive, but some scientists cracked some chicken eggs open and added in a certain protein that made the chicken develop scales instead of feathers. Ditto for the tail. The theory is that all animals have the same genes, just different combinations of on and off. Research like this has been in favor of this hypothesis. Scientists say the way to make dinosaurs isn't cloning, but in bioengineering. I seen it on the Discovery channel!

No one is ever happy with just one breed of mini pig. They'll want all different breeds of mini pig, there are loads of different markings which come with different breeds so people are going to want minitures of the older breeds because the normal ones are too big. And by selective breeding they can make sure that both pigs are healthy and don't have anything that could be passed down to their young.

Which is why dog breeders are very picky about which dogs they breed their dog with.

I was chillaxing with my pal and he wanted to visit his dad's landlord. She was talking about how she was having a difficult time finding a cheese platter fo someone's wedding or something. So when we were leaving the store she works in, he said on the way out, "Good luck with that cheese platter!"
