The ones I'm talking about really like the quick back and forth nature of conversation on there. I'm not sure waiting around for posts would be their style.
I'd also suggest facebook, but I know you've said you don't have one. You'll succumb eventually, though. ONE OF US. ONE OF US.
Uh, I mean... it's a handy tool...
On another note, what is this avatar lacking? I like my general direction with it, but it's missing something (or something should be changed) and I just can't figure out what it is.
Hmm, maybe... I'm afraid that might be too many handhelds, though.
I'm trying to do my best to capture the rococo era with the items we have. With a bit of masquerade/ball thrown in, hence the mask. Also trying to keep to pastels + gold.
Also, on an unrelated note, I looked at our subtitle here and asked myself "Do I need to change this? Is it still existential crisis time?" and I decided that it's always existential crisis time. But I still might be best to change it. Also I didn't even think to make an event thread until yesterday. Sorry for no event thread this time, guys. My head is in another planet.
Yes. In.

Reason: Not plural, cherry. Not plural.
Understandable.
You have the Rococo thing down well, and I'm enjoying it.... Even though it's one of my least favourite cultural/artistic movements
It's hard. All I'm coming up with is "u need more flouncy accezzories"
Really? I can't say much for the art, since I'm not familiar with it, but the clothes and interior design are just drooly for me. All the pastels and ridiculous amounts of ornateness is just so pretty.
I've tweaked it a bit... I think it helps. I need to do some more tweaking yet, still.
Yus! Feathers, it needed feathers.
It's just so saccharine sweet. Far too decadent and insubstantial for me. Personally, I love a Victorian aesthetic. But not the chintzy variety that is so often remembered. The masculine aspects of it. Dark woods. Subtle Gothic elements. Fine marbles. Brass. Velvets. Ferns.
Here's a contender for WHAT that I've been holding onto for a while. One day I will make a gif of the funky chicken dance at 2:32. I will.
Decadent, yes. But that's what's fun about it! It's so ridiculously over the top and unrealistic, you have to suspend your sense of reason.
Which aspects of the Victorian era are you referring to as chintzy?
Well that's... certainly... something.
I like the nightmarish headwalking at 1:05. It's so indefinably creepy.
AND OH GOD THE SPIDER GUY NEXT TO HIM, WHAT WAS THAT, WHY ARE THESE DANCERS TRYING TO DANCE NIGHTMARES?
The dancers in general are just very creepy... And then she dances through the scene at high speed. This is very WHAT, indeed.
Well, see this sort of thing is okay, but they are pushing it.
I love that necklace; Gorgeous is forbidden, apparently; yes, by and large that's what I am talking about when I talk about the more masculine aesthetic; why is that even a thing?
I was about to agree with you on that website, but then. But no, yeah, that is pushing it a bit.
I think I might be siding with you on preferring the masculine look? Maayy...be? I haven't seen enough victoriana to really be able to say if I prefer one over the other, but I can say that I love lace. I mean, I definitely like the more "masculine" elements, I just can't say if I like it more than the... feminine, I guess? elements.
The keychain... It just... I... Ugh. Also, "touch wood" *immature snickering*
I haven't seen them. I shall have to keep my eyes pealed.

Was looking for something, going through old posts. Came across the first reference to existential crisis... Two pictures of people screaming, followed by man smiling inanely holding a dog incorrectly. T'was a Cherry post, you see.

Reason: you know my reasons.
