I live on the ground floor. It's a bit of an odd situation. Right in the midst of the living spaces.

I live on the ground floor too, as there isn't really any other option. :lol: The attic is... well, an attic, not really a second floor. It's poorly insulated and full of brown/Chilean recluses. :D The basement is also "unfinished." Cement floor and walls, leaky.

HIM lives in a house with an upstairs.

My house was too small for me to "claim" a spot on the ground "floor", and doesn't have an "upstairs"... I do have nearly a third of the "basement", though!

I was in that store, Kronos again today. They've got some lovely milk glass in, to compliment their already pretty spiffy collection. And I'm thinking you'd like the nearby store of Treasure Island, Cherry, if only for their selection. Their prices are a bit on the unreasonable side.

No problem, I'll just rob them! :D I can see the headlines now...

The thing is, that would actually make it to the frontpage here.

Apparently in Daniel's area minor traffic violations make the paper. Like, it's common in all the papers. And he said "Yeah, all papers do that," and I said "No, they really don't." So now I don't know whether my local papers are weird or his are. And I mean, it's not a matter of small towns. I get the Saint Louis Post Dispatch, sure, but I also get this tiny paper for my city which mostly consists of what's happening at the schools because we have nothing else. So I think it might just be confined to his region. Or everything I knew is a lie, you know, whichever, I guess.

Also, your signature gives me a strange sense of comfortable optimism. It's like "Here's Stephen Fry and Noel Fielding having a drink. Everything's going to be okay," and I'm like "Oh, okay, cool."

In part it's regional specifics, but I think it also depends on the paper. Some have different clientele, different advertisers. It's pretty liberal here, our art section takes up a large part of the paper, but pretty much everything gets covered. Back to the crime blotter, one of the favourites that I've come across was along the lines of "Someone broke into my house, made popcorn, and left before I got back"

Ah, that picture. I feel like the world is at peace when I look at it. It's my version of two kittens in a barrel. Not sure which one of them is Phillip, though.
