Hmm...
You'd have to be a reeeaaally cool to pull off a fisherman's hat and not look gay, though.
Are you reeeaaally cool?

I wish everyone I knew played D&D! I haven't been able to get a group going. My friends are very unreliable.

-doesn't play D&D-
I'm not a big fantasy person, actually. ^^;;
Like, I'm okay with Tamora Pierce and Inkspell, but I wouldn't go so far as the Hobbit.
I used to like fantasy because they're usually really descriptive, but for the first few months this year, I read a LOT of fantasy, so now I'm kind of sick of it.

I mostly read science fiction books, but I'm open to most stuff.

Lee: I'm actually sitting here right now trying to figure out the 4.0 system to make a character. We're switching over systems for our current campaign.

@ generally outrageous:
I mostly read... Uhm...

Well, my favorite genre is romantic comedy; I really like books similar to Meg Cabot's writing, but I'm open to most things, too.
I don't really like uber-philosophical books, though. ^^;;;
I know that makes sound really, really, un-deep. >>;

There just no fun to read... XP;
Books are for us to enjoy! There's no point in reading a book that's boring you, except maybe for educational purposes, because you'll just forget it later, and it'll sort of waste your time, then. >>;

I was talking to Julia Caesar in the other thread; she's melting, too. xD

Why don't you turn on the AC/ceiling fan and eat ice cream?

::makes her cameo appearance::

I wish I had local friends who were interested in table-topping. :c I have tons of books for some systems/settings I'd really want to rock out to, but no one is interested. XD;

Oh well.

::strikes a pose that will be memorable and go down in movie history. walks off the set:: :V

*snaps a picture of CK and chases down as she walks off* IF YOU SIGN THIS FOR ME I CAN SELL IT FOR MILLIONS ON EBAAAAY!!!

But that's so sad. I was never that into table-topping until I made friends with people who did. I still think I prefer the Shadowrun setting to the DnD setting though.

@tenten: *sits in the freezer and shivers* I have a fan pointed at me currently.. and we have no ice creams. T_T

I want to try:

"Victoriana" (or some other steampunk setting - I have a few books)

"Blue Rose" (romantic fantasy - like Tamora Pierce and Mercedes Lackey type fantasy novels)

"Call of Cthulhu" (particularly the turn of the century setting - not so much a modern setting)

"Oriental Adventures"/or/"Legend of the Five Rings" (I don't really care which version. >_> )

"Nobilis" (you role-play as a kind of god)

"Deleria" (Deliria?) ((Either way - you role-play in kind of fairy-tale universes...))

And there's certainly a few books out there that are all wuxia/kung-fu movie style gaming. XD I've seen them! But I can't remember titles...

*rambles. runs away from mention of eBay* >___>

Ahh. All those games sound really cool! :3 Blue Rose intrigues me especially cuz I loved Pierce's and Lackey's book settings. Sadly I don't think any of my friends would be interested in those types of settings. ;_; They're very much the "go kill things in a dungeon and that's it" type.

*continues to chase after* But if you get famous then I can sell your autograph for millions and give you some!!
