Oh yeah. X) I've seen Moonshadow, although I've heard it's sort of going the way of the DUNE total overhaul, in that she's mostly just making the landscape and then won't do anything else, but it is very pretty.

And yeah  the Oblivion modding community is just sort of terrible. People are so incredibly mean - on both sides of the spectrum, not just to the modders. An incredibly talented modder named AlienSlof was so tormented because the male-only armor she made was apparently terrible because it made male characters "look gay" that she pulled out of all the big websites and she just hosts her stuff on her own now. On the other side, there's a guy who makes quest mods and despite the fact that his first language is English, the mods are nearly incomprehensible (and when it's a quest mod, I think you should really be shooting for understandability) and in general, the quests themselves are dirty mods that edit cells that have nothing to do with the quest and essentially make other mods incompatible; to top that off, he's overly sensitive and considers ALL criticism to be trolling and flaming, and has a nasty habit of calling a mod whenever someone says that there was something they didn't like about his mod.

I won't even get into how the modding community objectifies women in disgusting ways. :| It makes me wonder if they've even ever come within 3 foot of one.

I know - I can't DL anything from Slof's site at the moment, which is a bugger, cause I want those horse textures and her Goth Shop clothes for my companion, Julan! *grin* Yay for fetish-dressed dark elf following me everywhere...

Oh, and what do you mean precisely by 'objectifies'? I hope you don't mean all the skimpy armor - my characters run around in next to nothing all the time! Mainly cause they're thiefy in general, so fast and agile enough to dodge blows and not need to be covered. And I made some skimpy-ish stuff myself, too.

Slof actually just recently reuploaded a chunk of her stuff to tesnexus, and apparently added a new black unicorn, although I haven't seen her horse retexs yet.

I think skimpy armor is fine within reason - my wizard uses Sinblood's elven wizard robes, and they show off a bit of skin - but there are certain armor mods that are just ridiculous: I'm good about suspending my belief for a fantasy video game where there are cat and lizard people, but I just cannot believe the armor some people put out. There's mods where they cut out pieces of breastplate on light/heavy stock armor to reveal cleavage, but leave the pauldrons and such intact. So, essentially, the places that are being exposed are places where, if you get hit with a weapon, you are dead. My mind is just boggled by how badly these people need to see titties. Not to mention the "armor" mods where what your given is some jewelry or chains.

Similarly, have you seen some of the female body replacer mods? I used to use Exnems, but a lot of the new armors for it (and some of the remeshed old armor) looked sloppily done. I currently use Fantasy Figures because it's got a LOT of amazing armor that ISN'T "here's some nipple rings that connect to a ring on your hoohoo. have fun fighting daedra!" Not to mention the nipples on most female body mods are like pointing straight up in the air. XD WTF It's so obvious that some of these people have never seen a real boob before.

Ah, I use Better Bodies for Morrowind, with Westly's Fit Body Textures. As to the armor - as I mentioned, being a thief most of the time, I believe myself fast enough to didge most strikes. And cleavage is an advantage in battles - if the enemy is distracted by boobs he won't see the blade coming! Though I di have to admit that some of the ones I have seen - like chainmail bikinis etc - I won't wear unless I'm hanging out in my own home with my sexy companions. Oh, and here's an image of the cuirasses for the clothing/armor I made myself. Somewhat skimpy, yes - and the stuff I plan on making next will be more of the same!

The texture work on those is fantastic! Were I a morrowind player, I would totally want to try out the top row 3rd one and first on the bottom row (I love pink ;3; ). I don't think any of those are too skimpy at all, but there are armors for Oblivion that are just...ugh.

I got an XBL point card yesterday and downloaded all the official Oblivion attachments. Mehrunes Razor is currently sitting safely in a chest in the basement of Frostcrag Spire. n_n

I also did the Arena side quests in order to afford all that. But I still have to get a crew for my pirate ship and stuff. And I have yet to repair the orrery, repair the den you get for evil-based characters, or even get a horse for my horse armor. But oh well. ;D

Since I restarted for the like, third time, I've got a new plan. I just did shivering isles, then I'm going to do all the things that get you fame, then the main quest, then the Thieves' Guild and DB quests, and finally end with Knights of the Nine so I don't have to worry about never being able to wear the armor due to getting ONE FRICKING POINT OF INFAMY. <.<

I'm a bit jump-around-ish with Morrowind too - I tend to do as many side quests as I can (guild, faction, random etc) before even starting the MQ, then about halfway through the MQ I'll go and to Tribunal, then a little more MQ, then Bloodmoon, then finish the MW MQ, then run around and uncover all the map. I'm still finding new places to visit though, and I have had the game for ages! Mind you, that plan is provided I don't get bitten by the restartitis bug.

I could never get into Morrowind. It was almost TOO free-range for my taste. There was no direction at all. It was basically "Here's a very general idea of where to go, good luck."

Took me ever to find Caius Cosades' house. D:

I've heard that cited as the main beef and the best part of Morrowind. XD You hear a lot of Oblivion players complaining that the quests are just too easy because the arrows lead you everywhere. I sort of agree, sometimes I just feel like what's the point of reading any of the dialog or books or quest info because I just have to follow the arrow.

Definitely. The free-range style of MW is precisely what I love about it so much! I just started a new game yet again with a custom race and class - one that spends more time just running about the wilderness than in the towns. Mind you, that does have a purpose - I need ingredients for my alchemy and refuse to buy them!

I honestly wish I had known that you couldn't wear the armor that you get with the Knights of the Nine quest if you get one point of infamy. If I had known that I would have left that quest for last. But I didn't. I still have to do the Thieves guild and Shivering Isles. I'm sure both will build up my infamy. I'm really not looking forward to doing the pilgrimage again. That was such a pain for me.

I also do agree that some of the quests are very easy due to the arrow pretty much showing you the way. But I usually ignore it and just go exploring. I figure I'll eventually find what I need or bump into the people that I need to sooner or later.

I actually managed to get through Shivering Isles without a point of infamy. I'm not actually sure if you earn fame/infamy through SI, since it also has a completely different bounty/jail system from Cyrodiil. But, yeah, the thieves guild earns you around 20 infamy points all told, I believe.

I finally got my Telvanni stronghold started last night... man, I spent ages running about shrines looking for golden saints to soul trap, then I finally realised I actually had a couple of summon scrolls stored! Silly me.... loving the mod I have that turns Uvirith's Grave into a town. It actually gives me a reason to go there now!

@ geishaberry: Yeah, I figured that the Thieves Guild would definitely give you infamy. What with the whole stealing and everything. It's good to know that Shivering Isles won't give me infamy. I think I might do that one fist then.

@ Arkeyla: I've been trying to figure out how to soul trap. But so far it hasn't worked for me. I think my timing is off or I don't have the right stones.

The Elder Scrolls! <333

My favorite geeky indulgence <3

I started playing the games a couple years ago when I bought the Game of The Year edition of Morrowind. And I bought the GOTY edition of Oblivion when I got a Xbox360.

My strongest character is a level 27 (Yeah, I suck D: ) Imperial, but I'm also playing a Breton Vampire and a Redguard mage (RP character >> )

I also started a new Morrowind save (My 5th Dunmer, I really need to start experimenting more on that game), but I haven't touched it in a while.

Keska - you have to kill the creature while the spell is in effect, and also have the right stone - I tend to carry a few of each around with me, because the game automatically puts the soul into the smallest value gem able to hold it.

Just wanted to show off my main, Serris. She's Arch-Mage and Champion of Cyrodiil. Currently she's working on vanquishing vampires for the Verona House: Bloodlines mod.

She's a custom race Breton - custom face texture that my male associate made for me and a custom ear mesh I made, but otherwise just a Breton. I'm using an eyelash -adding mod for her that just recently came out. It's really neato, but kind of a pain to set up if you don't know how to use the construction set.

She looks kind of cranky in that picture. Not sure why ;3;

She's cute! I don't know why, but she kind of reminds me of Yuna.

This is my current MW character, Issarya, a custom race I made myself. She's a Maormer, magically enchanced with Argonian traits to make hunting slaves easier.

Oh wow. You really got your graphics to look awesome. X)!! She is very pretty.
I am kind of sad that there isn't a Maormer race that looks that hot for Oblivion, because I would totally play a character like that if there were. The Maormer custom races available are kind of hideous. u_u

Man if I were a good texture artist I totally would. XD I'm more of a scripting person, sadly. Which isn't saying much, since I think everyone and their grandma can script for Oblivion if they take a quick glance at a walkthrough or have a background in another programming language. XD

Maybe I'll give it a try sometime.

*giggles* Scripting is something I am too scared to try in case I do something horrible and totally stuff up my game!
