Hello, everyone.

I just wanted to ask about the problem my Xbox 360 has been having. I've never really thought about it, since it's been doing it about a few months after I got it, 2 years ago.

But when you turn it on, it goes to a black screen with an error message on it, and the third ring on the power button flashes- not all 3 of them. I've heard of the Red Ring of Death, but what's it mean when only that third one is flashing, rather than all 3 of them?

Like I said, only the third one flashes. The other 2 don't. So it's not the full Red ring of death...Just part of it? I'm just curious as to what it means, and what I can do to stop it. It's not a major problem, as it plays after I turn it on and off about 3 or 4 times.

It's defective. It might not be red-ring-of-deathing, but you've got yourself a bugged 360 right thar.

from the sounds of it there is an error in the hardware (thats usually the one light flashing)

either way its dead, 360's arn't worth the hassle, see <strike>too many</strike> all of them come back after a while, i say give up on it and get a PS3 ;D lol
