up the swanny means it's broken, a fiver is £5, and squit is short for diddly squit which means nothing.

Maybe I should put up a load of English-isms and then put their American equivalents. Americans get confused by the term "fag" a lot which means "cigarette" in the UK and not what the Americans have it as meaning. >< The amount of times I had to tell my sister to stop saying "just going out for a fag" whilst we were staying in Florida.
