I guess I ought to start with the doll.. it's my first one in a long time, and I'm worried I'm losing my touch :sweat:

May I ask what you mean by "more defined"? like, more tones in between so they're starker, or same shades but thicker lines? or something completely different?

The second one has pillowshading.

Which is you start from the outside with a dark colour and gradually get lighter as you get towards the center. This would only happen if the light source was right infront of her, and would never be a natural light source.

You have potential, but pillowshading is a no-no. xD

actually pillowshading is when you follow the outline exactly with each shade.. i did not pillowshade...
