its not your fault your moms knows that and you didnt know that an owner was going to take it and i think your moms already happy that the dog in a safe home

Aw, at least you tried to help your mom. It's too bad you had to work around your stepdad. I'm not fond of dogs either, but I would have wanted to help out too.

I don't think I've ever really been in a situation like that. I don't usually promise anything to anyone, nor has it ever involved an animal (I make promises to my animals, but that's a different story). xD
