Aaah~ Everyone has a distinct sneeze. I knew a girl who went ah~ CHOOOH. With a an elongated oooh sound which reached the other room. XD;

Sneeze from sunlight? @[email protected]

I sneeze differently. There are times I sneeze loudly, there are times I go 'ah -whimper-'

It sounds like a whimper of a hmnph -sniff- sound. @[email protected]

My sneezes are usually different each time. Sometimes they're REALLY loud, sometimes they're really quiet. And sometimes it seems like I'm trying to hold in a sneeze, so it really sounds weird then. I pretty much sound like a chipmunk when that happens, heh.

haha maybe! xD did you know the reason why people say 'bless you' is because they think people who sneeze are possessed by a demon?

Does breathing stop also when you cough or just when you sneeze?

When I was little, it was thought that I was possessed by a demon. I would have what are called night terrors. One time I strangled my best friend and her brother at a huge sleeping party. :gonk: I went back to sleep, but then arose again, got a stool and stood on it in front of the sink repeating "The witch is making me do the dishes." Stuff like that happened for years.

But then one day my oldest sister gave me a cross pin to pin to my pillow. After that night, I stopped having night terrors.

Really? Sneezing = demon possession?

I thought it was because they said congrats/bless you because when you sneeze your heart stops and people are thankful you got back/heart continued beating.

@[email protected] how does the sneezing = demon possession connect?

Hmm... gotta love psychological cures... when you believe you are safe... you are safe... o.o though idk if they ACTUALLY work... but I know that the psychological effect can be pretty powerful... (kinda like those sugar pills XD)

I didn't know they had placed it on my pillow. They never told me they did. So it wasn't psychological. I'm not saying it was spiritual either.

I was also a big time sleepwalker! I would get up in the middle of the night and sleep in the corners or behind the couch. I don't remember ever doing it, but my parents talked so much about it. Although, I do remember consciously getting up sometimes and going behind the couch. Mostly just because it felt really safe behind there. I apparently did that from ages two to ten.

When I lived in Utah, I even sleep-walked out the door one time during the night! I made it quite a few blocks before an elderly woman noticed me (and recognized me thank goodness) and brought me back home.

kitkat - yup, true story. Sometimes I'd wake up and start cursing and throwing things. My parents would have to put me in front of the mirror and tell me that it's okay. Before I calmed down, I would yell at the mirror apparently and scream bloody murder, and then try and attack my reflection. But apparently, putting a person that is suffering from night terrors in front of a mirror is supposed to help?

Izumi - OH NOES! That aliums are coming! D:

I'm an aliums?

Did I miss much? I'm tempted to take something to help me sleep...Only thing though is sleeping pills make me groggy next day. My problem is I lay down and I end up getting a bazillion things flowing through my brain. It sucks.

I have bizarre dreams. Sometimes they scare the shit out of me. Usually I wake up and scratch my head and think "what the hell". They're like really boring for the most part, but have this one really crazy twist or something. I can't think of anything last night. Must of been a boring night.

ur an alium :ninja:

I am that same way sometimes, Izumi. I could lay down in bed and be there wide awake for hours before I go to sleep. I just can't seem to calm my mind. I think too much sometimes.

Poet - they're not fun. I technically haven't ever truely stopped having them. Because I had one about a year and a half ago. And before that, a few times through my teenage years.

I usually forget my dreams nowadays. Unless I write them down or they're just interesting enough to remember. Every three years I'll have a dream where I'm in a white padded cell room with two doors that won't open. And all of a sudden, these colored boxes will start enclosing me in a corner. I freak out and twitch and scream, but I never wake up until it's over with.

Also, I've still suffer from sleep paralysis. I'll wake up and still be paralized. I can see things around me, hear things around me, be completely coherent, but unable to move. This happens at least two or three times a week. And while I know what is going on, for some reason, I still have that HUGE fear going on inside my brain while I'm paralized. I heard it's a good explantion linked to night terrors. It worries me sometimes, thinking that I could start suffering every night from sleep terrors once again.
