Yeah my friend got burned real bad that it's left scars on her neck and chest. And she used olive oil to ease the pain.

I looked online for several home remedies. Puttin vinegar in your bathwater, oatmeal bath, bread dipped in milk and then placed on the burns...lots of different ways to treat it. My skin is so dry and tight though, even moisterizer doesn't seem to be working. I'll have to try that olive oil.

I've only tried a few of the remedies. They only seem to be effective for a very short period of time. I noticed one that the redness went down and the heat stopped. I thought I was okay. But fifteen minutes later it flared back up! I'm as red as a Radio Flyer! I am really not kidding you. :cry:

Oh lovely! That reminds me of that whale that landed on that yacht while jumping out of the water. :lol: It also reminds me of my stupid comment I made to my over-weight friend. I was swimming with her and she was coming towards me pretending to be a monster or something. And I said, "Ack! A whale!" I meant to say shark, but she already was upset with me. I tried to apologize, but she remained upset for a little while. I can't blame her. I need to start saying stuff in my head before I say it aloud.

Lisa - I just have a lot of stuff going on. I have to go to the clinic on Wednesday to prepare for a thing on Friday (which I won't discuss because it's rather gross). And then I have an MRI next week. And ever since this sunburn, my family thinks I'm being a baby. But none of them got burned, so they don't know just how bad it is. And I ended up crying myself to sleep earlier because it hurt so bad. And they just told me to shut up AND AND AND *takes a deep breath* Yeah. :cry: :gonk: Bad day.

It's like when I had an attack the other day and I threw myself at the floor because the pain was so terrible. My sister was sitting right next to me and she told me to "stop acting like an idiot and get off the floor". She knows that when I throw myself at the floor, grabbing my stomach and am pushing myself around that I'm having an attack. I ended up crawling down the hallway and opening the door to my fathers bedroom. Even he at first said, "What the f*** do you want?" before realizing what was happening. That's when my stepmother took me to the ER and I had those two seizures on the way there.

No normal family does that. They see something unusual with you and they should be concerned, right? Not ignorant.

I say one wrong thing and it totally just ruined most of the fun while swimming. She got over it the next day though. She went home today however. I managed to upload a few pictures of us on FB (she approved them). So I don't think she totally hates me, heh.

Exactly! People often wonder if I was born into the right family. They don't seem to care as much as they should. It's so difficult to explain just how screwed up my family is. Sometimes it worries me that something might happen to me and they wouldn't even notice. Like when I'm sleeping at night, I'm afraid I might die. And then in the morning my family wouldn't even realize it til days later. Or they'd go in my room and yell at me for something, realize I'm not responding, think I'm just sleeping or pretending, go and hit me or slap me and then realize I'm really not responding before they understand what is going on.

Sorry... the whalecow just ran and me... o.o I think jellys been making weird creatures...
