BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING, UNZIP THE FILE.
You will need a file extracting program such as WinZip or WinRar. If you have Windows Vista or XP, you already have a built-in extractor. If the unzipping program does not automatically open after you download the .zip file, double click and the extractor should open up. Choose a location to unzip the files to, and extract.
After you have unzipped the file, open up AvatarCreator.jar from its extracted location. The MAC runs in the Java Virtual Machine, which can be found at java.com if you do not have it already. If you receive a "Main class not found" error when trying to open the avatar creator, go to java.com and make sure you have the latest version downloaded. If you get an error that says "Items.txt cannot be found" and the MAC opens up blank with no images, make sure you are opening the program from the Avatar Creator folder and NOT from the extractor. If you are absolutely positive you are running AvatarCreator.jar from its extracted location and you are still receiving the error, check the folder to make sure you unzipped 100% of the file contents and items.txt is in the folder. If not, unzip the file again and make sure you get everything out. If you still have trouble getting the MAC to open correctly, feel free to post your question in this thread. Make sure you have the word "potato" somewhere in your post though so that I know you read this section. ;D

^From the MAC thread itself. If you have other problems with it, it's probably better to just post them in there rather than creating a new thread. That way, somebody who can help is sure to find your post.
