Well yesterday i was hungry.
i was looking through my fridge and i was like
"ohh eggs ima make an egg sandwich."
so i get everything out and get it prepared.
then i take the egg and go to crack it and it doesn't crack!:o
they where FROZEN:O
The thermostat in the fridge was set to high and the eggs were placed in the
back of the fridge and they froze.
So i asked my mom what to do.
she said to wait it out and let them thaw and see how they turn out.
NASTY thats all i have to say to that.
it was GROSS and im never listening to her again about frozen eggs!
So has anyone else been in a situation like this.?
was i stupid for trying to eat thawed eggs ?
Should i kick my fridge for make me have bad eggs XD?

Eww... That's really all I have to say about that. =S
Sounds really nasty. Next time keep your eggs near the bottom. That's what we do.

Never had frozen-thawed-cooked eggs before. Whoo... what did they actually taste like? Were they rotten or what?

We don't keep our eggs in the fridge. We just leave them out in a basket. But we get fresh eggs everyday courtesy of our three chickens.
Our refrigerator is messed up, and anything in the crisper section gets frozen. Luckily that's all stuff I don't eat. Like shrubbery, vegetables and yuck.

Ewww. D'x Loubie doesn't like eggs in general but frozen? Did it have that nasty refrigerator taste? That happens with me all the time when I leave a dish I've made in the fridge without the plastic stuff or in a container. It tastes as old as pie and isn't the most enjoyable thing in the world to eat. I eat it anyway, though. Wasting food = nono for Loubie, no matter how disgusting it tastes.

You should put them in the door of your fridge. ^^ That's what we do. And higher up as well because cold air sinks.

That sounds unpleasant. Our carrots and lettuce like to freeze in the fridge, so we put them in the door like Beff. Another issue with our fridge is the freezer...it gets layers of ice on one top corner that we have to scrape off every once in a while. We tried changing the settings, but it didn't work. One of those things that's broken, but not broken enough to get a new one.

If you need to thaw something out that can't get to room temperature (milk, eggs, etc.), make sure your refrigerator is at the usual temperature and put it in there. It takes longer, but nothing goes bad in the process.

I think I would have thrown the eggs out. Don't kick the fridge, kick the person who turned it down too low.:)

I never really thought of eggs being able to freeze. I mean it makes sense, seeing as their is liquid inside, but I never though of such a thing before. I know I was upset when I had to use liquid eggs from a carton for a recipe. I didn't like using "messed with" eggs.
And usually when you thaw something, it never comes out the way it would have been before you froze it. We freeze bread at my house all the time and it usually ends up with an edge that is all hard and nasty. Plus it's dry. XP

haha i love how the solution is to KICK the FRIDGE! haha
and whats funny is thats what i did.
@yeah: no they turned it up to high.if it was too low they would spoil XD and that would be real gross.
@cherish: well im not about to leave them out.we i have
been raised to have them in the fridge that way they are cold
and i just cant make the switch to leave them on the counter and be warm.thats just strange to me XD
@loubie: yes im all about not wasting food too.
but if its at that point to where it can cause harm to me.
its going to byebye! haha
@.ieatkitties.: ya they get all covered in ice and are hard.
and the shell comes off in two pieces instead of a million XD

I have had things freeze in my fridge all the time, don't try to eat thawed lettuce or carrots either. I will keep the warning about the eggs though. I likely would have tried the just thaw them out theory.

Ewwwwwwwgh. That sounds really gross....They had ice on them? Even worse....Frost bitten eggs. That was probably why they tasted so bad...
But I have to say, I didn't think eggs could freeze either....o.O
