Jake looked at Den " Oh sorry..it's ok!" jake smiled trying to cheer him up " So what do you wanna talk about?" oh wait thats another question! jake thought to himself

"I don't know what to talk about," Den said. "I have nothing

Jake put his hands in his pants pocket " Nice day we're having..." jake smiled and looked up at the sun " Well, I've been here for a year, it's weird i never saw you around on the streets or at the stores or anything..."

"No wonder I didn't recgonize you," Den said. "You were the only person i couldn't indentify. I lived here all my life."

" No wonder you knew where that girl got her belt from." Jake made a funny face" I moved here on the count of my parents working all the time." Jake smiled trying to keep himself from looking sad. " So now i live with my grandparents, I get so used to them I practically call them mom and dad." Jake giggled a bit

"That must be human torture," Den said. "I don't know what it's like to live with family."

" No, it's like......it's.....-" Jake didn't really know how to explain family..." Do you want to come over for dinner?" jake smiled

Den stared, "Dinner... you mean with you or you and more people?"

" Me and my grandparents you cant bring whoever you like!" jake smiled and looked at den " Just so ya know how family is like! Then oh i dont know next time me and you can go to a sexy candle-light dinner together." Jake laughed

"Okay got it..." den said. "And the candle-light dinner... I don't know... I'll think about it."

" I'll meet you in front of the diner before we head off to my house." jake looked at his watch "which is in an hour...So we'll meet in front of the diner in an hour ok?" Jake said as he was walking away.

"Okay then," den said, watching Jake walk away. He decided to go to the diner, he didn't have anything better to do nyways

Jake ran home to tell his grandparents they were going to have more then one person for dinner tonight. He helped cook and set the table, looking at his watch now and then. "Ok grandma i'm going to pick him up, i'll be right back" Before walking out jake sprayed cinnamon and apple spray every where " mmm smells good!" he walked out of the door headed for the diner and quick as he can.

Den was leaning against the wall of the diner bored out of his skull. "Has it been an hour yet?"

Jake ran up to the diner " Sorry I'm late!" Jake stared at Den "trying to act cool, thats a shame" Jake laughed "come on!" Grabbing Den's arm he ran to the direction then started walking " sorry just excited and stuff like that and...yeah..."

Den felt like this arm had been ripped off. "Yeah... I can tell... what's wrong with being cool?"

" I'm sick of cool guys, mostly all the ones i've met had been total idiots.." Jake rolled his eyes

"I'm an idiot?" Den said. "I'm confused...

"Noo your not an idiot!! I think...well i dont know you that much!!!" jake scratched his head and smiled at Den

"Okay," den said, smiling slightly.

Jake pointed ahead " Thats my house right there!" He grinned for some reason " come on!" Jake ran up to his house and opened the front door

den still causally walked to the house, he didn't like to run. "Nice house," he said once he reached the place.

Jake let Den go inside first and then he went in. his grandma and grandpa both quickly greeted Den and his grandma gave Den a hug. " It's nice meeting you Den." they both said. Jake stared that them " ok dont smuther him."

"Nice to meet you too," Den said, trying to smile.

Jake watched over to the dinner table. " You can sit here." Jake poked to the chair next to his.
"Dont be scared to talk" jake whispered in den's ear. Jake's grandma and grandpa sat at the table and so did jake.
