Sorry, it just irks me that you started critiquing my WIP, a picture merely taken to show you that I have started it and that I hadn't forgotten, when you yourself turn to me for drawing advice/help :/
I'm not mad or anything, just a tad irked because 1. I warned it was going to be difficult for me and 2. It's a WIP, not even a finished product, so OF COURSE nothing is defined and nothing is darkened and set in stone ^_^;;

D: Don't be upset, Emma. She probably didn't mean to be offending. Thing is, a lot of artists offer WIPs for the sake of getting critique on it before they proceed. She probably thought you wanted the comments.

Yes, but the thing is, I told her when she asked for it in the event thread that I couldn't do what she wanted - that I'd never done it before - that it was new for me - that it probably won't turn out that great, but that I would try~

I warned her, so therefore to have it nit-picked in the sketching stage, it makes me less eager to work on it and it actually kind of turned me off to the piece to the point where I haven't touched it since ^_^;;

I mean, I understand where you're coming from in saying that - and in most cases it's true. But in this case it's not so ^_^;
I didn't ask for a critique on it, I simply showed that it was being done - that I hadn't forgotten~
Normally when an artist wants to see if you want anything changed or wants feedback, they ask - not say that you're showing them the WIP just to show that you're working on it and haven't forgotten, however ^_^;;

@Emma- She didn't even critique it, is the thing. She only asked if the hand would be more defined, which was really more of a question than a criticism. :<

And to me and in my book, that's critiquing how it is. Sketches are not meant to be defined. They are meant to have a general area of what is going on. Obviously nothing is going to be defined in a sketch, and obviously everything will be defined in a final drawing. That's how things have always been.

I would really like to end this discussion. I appreciate all of the input on the situation, but the situation has long since passed and was between Mai and I ^_^;;
