Loved by some. Hated by some. What's your opinion on them?

I admit it, I haven't really "listened" to the Beatles until like...a week ago.
Though I did like it. :3

I don't really have much of an opinion on The Beatles, like so many other bands/singers. But I do like quite a few of their songs ^.^

Yellow Submarine will always be my favourite.

I liked their earlier songs, but as the songs developed they just didn't sound as good.

I wouldn't say hate, as I have not heard much of the music...but in terms of hype I hate them.

What I heard was just not my style at all. I couldn't get into it.

I love thier music it's like a poem that unraveals before you. It might be considered hippie music, but its my hippie music.

I like the Beatles. Don't know why, I just do. :)

I have loved the Beatles for a long, long time.

I hate all the hype that Across the Universe caused.

Because now we have to deal with all these teenie boppers who "love" The Bealtes.

i say both?..i love their songs, but when i get bored of them, and if someone plays their song, ill hate it..though if i havent heard it for so long, ill started to miss then XD

They have stuff I like and stuff I hate. Most of the songs I like were written by Ringo. I like a few of the George songs, too.

I can't stand their earlier stuff, but Abbey Road is quite nice. :3

I actually started listening to them because my boyfriend played them a TON, but Across the Universe did help the process along... A LOT. I do prefer the originals greatly now, but whatever.


I don't understand why everyone is so pissed off about AtU. It got the younger generation that was probably never exposed listening to less shitty music. What's wrong with that?

Nothing wrong with it, I just don't feel too nice about all the extreme marketing afterwards.

And the fact that there's so many kids who think they're the king Beatles fan just because they've got the AtU soundtrack and know every song, is very annoying.

All the "omg! i love themmm!!!"'s.

Also, I'm not pissed about AtU, I liked the movie, and I actually thought they did a pretty good job covering their songs, considering most of everyone who tries fails miserably.

I like their later stuff, but I can barely stand their early stuff. It's too bubblegum for my tastes.
I'm not a huge fan, but I enjoy them.

And I think that a lot of people who think they're over-hyped need to take into consideration what they did for rock and roll. By today's standards, sure, their music isn't THE BEST EVAR. But by the standards of their time, they were very cutting-edge and helped change the face of music.
Sort of like Elvis. I don't like Elvis, but he did a lot of things for rock and roll.

if the beatles could be gods, i'd worship them.

I love the Beatles,I've seen parts of Across the Universe and I can't decide if I like the singers in the movie or the actual band,but I know for sure that I loved I've just seen a face in Across the Universe!

LOVE THEM! i mean seriously, anyone who can come up with a whole song about a yellow submarine deserve to be worshipped :o :cool:

I actually just started to listen to them because my dad told me to watch a documentary about the beatles because it was "educational" XD but yeah I love them now

I'm so sick of them by now. xD Beatles Rock Band + sitting in the car for three days with a bunch of Beatles freaks = DEAR GOD HELP ME

I think it is particularly notable that while playing Rock Band, we failed freaking Yellow Submarine.
...We nearly failed Birthday, too. It is surprisingly complex.

What do you want me to say? I barley even knew them and once I did I thought, okay they are old and I am never going to like their songs. I don't know what their songs are about anyway and I will never look them up to listen to them. D: Aren't they like...gone now or something? I just don't look into their stuff just because I know one of my friend likes them. We both have our different taste, you know? Dx

You know you don't like them because they are old and your friend likes them? Aww, you should at least give them a proper shot first. Old music is good too.

I don't really know what you mean by gone, but they've been broken up since (I think?) the late 60s and two of the members are dead. :\

That's a bad way to go about listening to music. Music can always be relevant regardless of when it was made.

Hate them i find their music rather bland.

I really do like the beetles. Some of their songs I could live with out, but they do have some good stuff. I don't mind listening to them at all ^^
