well, at the place I work at now, the schedule is done randomly by a computer ^^: And by having a set hours at my current work place will probably mean less hours...

Well, you'd get less hours but have another job to make up for it. I think you should give it a try and ask them about it though.

Oh what joy. I haven't had a job yet. I'm really going to try to get one this summer though [[as difficult as that's going to be]], there's just way too much going on next year to try and have my mom pay for it all.

well, my parents can't afford to foot the bill for college. my mom helped where she could in the first and second semester but she can't take out loans like she did for the first year. So I have to work my arse off and hopefully get small loans outside of federal ones... thankfully, I also got some grant money... And after next year, the gov't may be giving us more money because my little brother will be in college.

Yeah, you've told me that before. College is just a huge pain in the ass. xD I'm just needing a quite of bit of money for my senior year. I want a Letterman's jacket, a class ring, a yearbook, have to order my cap and gown, need to buy graduation announcements, dance tickets//dresses, about 800+ dollars to travel with choir this year, etc with anything else I need. D= It's like... skgjdkjadh.

Ah, yes, I do understand that kind of pain. Let's see... my senior year was $60 in senior dues (which paid for cap and gown rental as well as yearbook), $80 for a ticket prom, $80 for the limo that took us to prom and $2,300 for a trip to Spain with the marching band... yeah, senior year = expensive... and I didn't even go on the senior trip which was about $1,000 dollars...

Wow. We don't have things that spiffy. Like prom tickets are usually 20 - 30 dollars. I try to borrow dresses for each dance except Prom. So that saves some money. The choir trip, we just stay close since it's a lot cheaper that way but oi... there should be a senior fundraiser for those that can't afford to pay for all of the extras like a class ring, yearbook, senior party tickets, etcetc.

I didn't get a class ring. I really had no interest in investing in one.
Prom for the seniors is in a hotel in the city... and because of the food we ended up having, it was really expensive >.< and limos are expensive... I live in an affluent area... though my family is on the bottom rung of society here ^^:
We did fundraisers for the band trip, so I may not have paid 2300 in full but that was the ending cost.

Wow, thats a lot of money .. I know for our senior trip (the prom was for everyone) we had fund raisers but I didn't make enough so I didn't go ... graduations are expensive but they are a one time event .. you only graduate high school once ...

You may only graduate high school once, but it depends how many times you graduate college.

I don't like the big class rings -- I like the little dainty ones. I've never been one for big flashy jewelry.

I never bothered with getting a class ring. And besides, it only high school, not that big of thing anymore. College to me is what matter more and required far more of my time, money and effort than high school ever did or would.

I['m trying to post more reguarly, but it seems most are taking a break from Mene.

With my family history and whatnot... me graduating and being able to get the merchandise and memorabilia from high school, is actually a big deal. Graduating from college will be amazing.

Oh... See, I'm the fourth of my parents' children to have graduated high school... and I'll be the fourth to graduate from college... So, graduating is something that is expected in my family...

Well, i am an only child, but it's something all the rest of the kids did, and college on both sidesof my family was excepted.

Nor did I want to spend or talk my family into spending the money on a ring.

I was content to not have a ring more along the fact that I had gotten one for my sixteenth birthday... instead of a party ^^: The memories would have been forgotten but the ring will last forever! xD

Aw, that sucks. What are you allergic to?

I'm allergic to mosquitoes and wasps, so I don't get the sniffles, I just swell up. It's rather annoying.

Pollen (& bug bites, but it's the pollen that's causing my sniffles). >:
