Kale: I'm fine. Kind of just was lazy today. ^_^ What about you?

Abbi: Hm, I've been into it for years. It's mostly because it's free reading material though I am very picky. xD

Kale: Dx I hate when I can't get sleep. Of course, I can run on an hour of sleep, it's not my preferred method of functioning.

Abbi: I use to watch wrestling when I was younger and my older brothers were in the house. My one older brother use to put me in wrestling moves all the time. ;_;

Ah yeah, I can function on an hour of sleep as well. (Being an insomniac does that to a person) However it's not well liked. xD

Abbi: xD He's kind of old to be getting an ass whooping. And it was never really bad because then I learned how to get out of all the moves.

Kale: Ah, see, I usually have no problem falling asleep. Actually, I probably fall asleep too fast to be natural.

I have moderate to terrible trouble falling and staying asleep.

I take a melatonin supplement. It works wonders.

My psychiatrist suggested it to me because I won't take sleeping pills.

The ones that MAKE you sleep.

Kale: Meh, I guess it's ok but sometimes I wonder if I have a sleeping problem. I can sleep for 8-9 hours and still be tired the next day... like last night, slept for about 8 hours and still took a 2 hour nap today. Once, I managed to fall asleep in a room where my friends were playing a loud game. They were all pretty shocked I was able to fall asleep too.

Abbi: What exactly does the melatonin do? [if you don't mind me asking]
And sleeping pills don't help in the long run cause you don't actually get the sleep you really need.

Ah I see. I refuse to take sleeping pills as well, I don't want to become dependent on them.

Dae; Ooh, I see well that would be rather sucky as well. I know I used to oversleep to make up for never being able to get to sleep. I was just as tired after oversleeping as well though.

Melatonin is a brain chemical.
The supplement I take releases itself into my blood stream. Allows me to sleep, and wake up feeling awake and refreshed.

I take it every night. And any nights I miss it. I end up having extra trouble sleeping.

I don't even really need it anymore. I think my body has learned how much melatonin I need to sleep. But I sleep a little deeper, and through the morning birds when I take it. And I like waking up at 9, instead of 5-6am.

Kale: I actually have no problem oversleeping. I'm usually pretty sensitive to sounds early in the morning. Kind of like my sleeping pattern is backwards; I sleep deep early on and light in the mornings.

Abbi: Hm, never heard of it before. I was curious cause I don't remember it being mentioned in my psych class and I feel like she would have said something.

It's not a medication. It's a vitamin supplement.

It's the brain chemical people need to regulate sleeping habits.

Kale: It's sometimes annoying when you have a household of people who wake up at the crack of dawn. ;_;

Abbi: Hm, but I'm sure she would have mentioned it because we did a lot of stuff with the brain [it's parts and chemicals] as well as some stuff on sleep disorders. -shrugs- It may have been mentioned and I'm just not remembering.

Sleeping pills... I never use them but I realised just a while ago that my allergy medicine actually works like a sleeping pill in that it helps you relax a bit. Not as strong as a pure sleeping pill but good enough for me. :3

But even without any help I've started to sleep a lot recently. I guess I'm catching up on sleep time I lost in high school and up to now. <.<

From one thing to the other; how is everyone today?

Sleep debt is hard to catch up on. You basically have to get good sleep for several days straight just for missing some sleep one night.

I'm good. Was in panic mode at work due to one of the higher ups coming in. However, he didn't show when he was suppose to and was coming in a half hour after my shift. I'm hoping the boss lady will be ok. ^_^;

What about you, Youn? [though you may not get this till tomorrow. xD ]

I'm leaving mene for a while.
Maybe a long while. Maybe not.
Maybe I won't be back but I am seriously sick of how people treat me on this site.

Edit: Done hissy-fittin'. :U
