I have to agree with Abbi. But it's not so much that I would forget more so than completely miss it. I get waaaay too many e-mails as it is that I don't look at.

Or start unsubscribing from email newsletters etc that you don't read anymore. If that's the type of email you would skip.

Or if you use gmail you could use that new tab thing to categorise your emails. I only noticed it recently since I usually check my gmail through outlook.

If the child is left in the car they need to at least leave the windows down a reasonable amount like most dog owners do...

Leaving a child or a pet in a car on a hot summer day is wrong. I've heard of children and dogs dying from the heat because of that.

I don't have either, but I think, even if its not a hot day, and if you're going to be away from the car for a long while, I'd take the child or pet with me purely for their safety.

Yep

Today I looked ahead in my diary and realised that this year for the first time I'll be obligated to 'work/study' on my birthday. Every other year it has been either a weekend day, public holiday or during school/uni breaks.

I usually celebrate my birthday with just family, unless it's a milestone birthday of some sort, then I like to gather a few friends to celebrate with me.

This year is not a particularly milestone year, so I think I'll just spend it with family, buy or make a cake, eat noodles for one of the meals on the day (symbolically, noodles represent long life so are good to eat on birthdays)...I'd like to see my brother and his family too, because I don't see them often...but that'll probably occur on the weekend before.

I've pretty much always done at least a little something for my birthday, it's an excuse to have cake and noodles if not anything else. For me it's sort of a way to remind myself that I've lived another year and some years I've reflected on what I've achieved the past year and what I hope to achieve this time round.

You should celebrate your 25th birthday, it's probably not a 'proper' milestone birthday, but it's like, 'I've lived for a quarter of a century' lets have cake and noodles

My last attempt for a friend gathering birthday was on my 25th, for that reason. Ended up having two celebrations because one group of friends couldn't make it to the one near my actual birthday...but that was good too...good chance to catch up.

I haven't achieved much lately so not much to celebrate there...

Well I might... but I'll probably still spend it on mene

But really... the last year or two has been more of a backward step for me.

I always want to do something for my birthday, but, say if I try to throw a party, most of the time people haven't shown up, so I generally don't anymore. lol
Last year I did a small thing with a bunch of friends (it was a weekly gathering anyway), and this year i'm not doing anything intentionally, but the weekly gathering is going to cross into my birthday and at that point some drunk friend of mine will hijack the evening for me. XP
