Crohn's sounds like it'd be hard to deal with.
Food poisoning is an interesting one. I usually try to expel everything in my stomach if I get food poisoning, that way I can remove all of what is making me ill (and replace it with safe food). Not very good for your teeth, but you can always brush after.
My work is owned by an insurance company so I'm pretty sure my insurance is absolute trash. They are constantly trying to find ways to cheap out on us.

Ah, I could see that being an issue. But again, I'm pretty much against taking any meds for myself. While I would go so far as trying just natural cures for cancer, I try and avoid taking any meds with other methods first (like headaches and cramps and such). I am also bad at taking anything regularly. When I had strep, I kept forgetting to take the antibiotic when I went back to work.
Sometimes it can be. But has given me other skills, like knowing where bathrooms are typically located in stores. He's mostly in remission right now but can't seem to find a good regular doctor to visit. And has had many traumatizing hospital experiences.
Honestly, I went to the ER after at least 12-14 hours after symptoms hit. Tried going to urgent care but the doctor left 15-20 minutes before closing. I had super severe stomach pains and couldn't keep anything down. Did an ultrasound to make sure it wasn't appendix related, and asked if I was pregnant (advise it was unlikely due to IUD). Then I was on my way with a prescription for anti-nausea meds and having taken one after having to ask for one (it was about 3am, so no place was going to be able to fill it in near future).

Could be worse. For example, my friend had her wedding last year at Disney World (yay) and I was the maid of honor. They have the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding. Everything was great. Until it wasn't.
2 of the bridesmaids (who were sharing a room) had food poisoning from the rehearsal dinner. The two bridesmaids texted me at 3am. I'm a deep sleeper, so I only saw them when I woke up around 6am the next day. I'm freaking out and call them. They are feeling a tiny bit better and have been tentatively eating veggie chips all morning. And I have to get them ready to go by 7am to get ready to meet with the bride and get ready. I text the MOB to add some stuff to the breakfast menu (bland options and ginger ale) and tell her to not tell the bride.
But surprise, I find out that the bride also got sick. Thankfully, the day was saved by peppermint tea we had acquired on a tea tour we took during the Bachelorette Party.

Weddings never go as planned... That is one of the constant things I see, weddings going haywire.
I have a coworker who is already married (went to court), but her mother is demanding a wedding... gonna be a lot of chaos in that one.
I usually avoid meds as well, but things that require say in inhaler or the like, I would definitely encourage meds. Anything life threatening.

I mean, one usually expects the usual issues (which we had plenty of them) but food poisoning for half the bridal party? That kind of topped the wedding cake
My mom would probably be happy if I just had a Vegas wedding. BF & I have talked about it, and it just seems silly to spend so much money on a wedding.
Oh yeah, I have no issue if you need it. I would just be terrible at remembering to take things (hence IUD over oral birth control).

For some reason, I have a spot in my heart for TV show episodes where a wedding turns into a crime scene.
/the bride threw the bouquet and the bridesmaids had to go looking for it
/they found a bODY AND I WAS LIKE OMG YES
/I DON'T EVEN LIKE CRIME SHOWS

Rosewood ("Rosie") is a...forensic pathologist? There's a lot of backstory etc as to why he does what he does but I don't want to spoil it cos its neat n cute n thoughtful.
There is some romance/drama, but its not usually tear jerking.
Also the "bodies" in the show tend to look pretty fake, IMO anyway, but tbh thats not a bad thing....I've seen a lot of crime shows and stuff that get pretty gory. D: I'm not much of a fan of gore but I love "mysteries"

And its got a lot of PoC talent. Goooooood talent. Its really well cast.

Vegas wedding sounds expensive too though.
I know the feeling Dae, I went with a permanent route myself. I don't ever want kids though so I'm fine with that choice.

Lol, not if you don't invite anyone (save for immediate family) and they pay their own way there. It would be more a family vacation than a wedding really.
Hm, I would like a child some day, I think. But if it never happens, I wouldn't be devastated. BF and I have talked about it a bit. TBH, I don't think he is interested at all at the prospect of a kid but doesn't want to admit it. He is also incredibly awkward with children.

I'm planning on adopting. :)
Preferably a 5-9 year old.
But a tiny part of that is because I want to throw my baby a nice big 10 yrs old party.
If it came down to it and I met a child I really liked and clicked with and they were older, I would probably adopt them.
The big birthday party is because it was something I was promised, but then like...3 weeks before my dad lost motor function in his leg because as it turns out his body was riddled with tumors....so it wasn't really a great birthday for me.

If I were to adopt, it probably be an older child anyway. I believe every child deserves a home and older children tend to get left in the system until the age out because everyone wants babies. And that thought just makes me sad.
