Removing the panels in the bedroom may prove to be fun! Demolition is always the fun part of remodeling! Lol!
Also, the crack in the archway is probably caused by settling...ya might take a look at the foundation for cracks there.
That crack can be filled with joint compound, also, and painted over.
I hope any of this info has been helpful.

I think at this point, his dad is just frustrated with the kitchen ceiling. This is the second patch work in there. So they will probably just fill the gaps, and cover it all with ceiling tiles. We have old fashioned tiled ceiling stuff in the the rest of the first floor.
Yeah, I imagine we may do the demo parts and I have watched plenty of those fixer upper-esque shows. We went through an HG TV phase...
Well, that's what my BF's dad said but BF still gets antsy about it. Also, that wall was put in by the not so great contractor they initially hired when fixing up the house. BF's dad already patched it up but you know.

That's valid. I'm not a fan of being sick and mine are always prolonged.

Hope vomited a couple days ago, which has been followed by "squirty" liquid poops.
Her dad vomited tonite without reason, unless Hope is contagious or he ate some bad pizza.
I have been sleeping with Hope and am hoping I don't get the vomit bug, because I fear that vomiting while my sternum is still healing might send me to the emergency room!

It was going well (and tbh for the most part I feel fine, my stitches have healed, etc)
but pretty much immediately after/during the last few days of the scabs coming off my bf got sick...and now I'm sick. At least I wasn't sick during my recovery tho. >_> But lawd, going from recovery to being sick is hellish. I need a break. XD
As a side note, I think I don't know a single person that hasn't been sick this winter...at least of the people I talk to.
Mostly stomach bugs too. >< I think there's a bit of a stomach bug traveling around.

I didn't have any stitches....they wired my sternum back together and glued both the site where they harvested the vein from my leg and the incision on my chest with super glue!
Oh wait! I had a couple stitches where the chest tubes were and where the pik line IV was in my neck, but those stitches desolved on their own.

The things they used on me were technically more like band-aids? But just tape, no gauze. Unfortunately, I am generally allergic to adhesive, so it was extremely itchy for a bit even after they fell off. It took extreme self control not to scratch and pull them off.
My doc said not to pull them off and just "let them fall off in the shower" I eventually did start pulling them off but thats because they were pretty much already pulling themselves off and i found a couple strips in my shirt one day when I was taking it off. So slowly over the next few days and showers, I started gently poking them and determined, meh they're healed enough, and gingerly took them off. ^^;;

I've been lucky and not needed anything serious as far as medical stuff is concerned. Because I would be horrible about it. I'm terrible with remembering to take medications or tending to things for myself.

What hummy said...
>_> Like, I was terrible as a kid about my meds, but that's in part because they weren't working.
But as an adult I found a combo that let me get my life together...and now suddenly the two specific meds make me vom everywhere, every time I take them. :( So I'm...well, pretty much going crazy. Or rather, already there as its been a few months since I could last take [email protected]_e

Understandable. I know it can be super frustrating when you and doctors are trying to figure things out as far as what exactly is wrong and the types of meds that may or may not help. BF refuses to go to doctor because of the many tests, mess ups, and other stuff he has had to do because of Crohns.

Oh man, Crohn's is awful. I'm so sorry your bf has to deal with that. :(
I'm mostly just crazy and have some stomach*/digestive issues, I have a lot of allergies as well, and an autoimmune disease (that can either be treated by Humira or antibiotics...but antibiotics, pretty much all of them, make me super sick (yeast infections, secondary infections that pop up after the course of antibiotics is done, and if I'm on one "long term" which I've done before, my flare up actually get worse!!!)....and for my gastroparesis*, they just gave up trying to 'treat' the problem and instead just gave me marinol to 'encourage' me to keep eating. because for a brief period of time I was refusing to eat because I *knew* I was going to vom every time. & I was showing serious vitamin and iron deficiencies.
Marinol is a synthetic THC (aka one of the primary components of marijuana, except its synthetic). THC is one of the primary cannobanoids that make people want to eat/can sometimes reduce nausea as well.
I've mostly had good doctors since I became an adult and took my medical care into my own hands, but uh...I think a lot of my doctors see me as a lost cause, and my psychiatrist is refusing to put me on any other medications unless I try Lithium. And no. I would rather be batshit crazy and suicidal than take Lithium. Mandatory blood tests every couple weeks and feeling like a zombie and having my personality change permanently? No thank you. I just got to the point where I actually like myself, at least, before my lamictal started making me puke. -.-"

Yeah, it has been a rough road for him. He was diagnosed in college but only after his situation was so serious that they had to remove some part of his digestive track because he had an hole that shouldn't have been there... Which they only discovered by his going on a cruise and going into the ocean and experiencing extreme pain due to the salt water...
Unfortunately, he has never had a good time with doctors. When he was a kid, he got a serious cut in his knee that needed stitches. The doctor told took out the stitches too soon and he busted it back open the next day. He caught an infection the one time that required additional hospital time after he was diagnosed. Overall, he has just a distrust of doctors and hospitals.

Seems like you are at least being proactive in your health. Despite being an adult in age, he doesn't usually act like it. His parents handle a lot of his medical stuff and there are times when he defaults to asking them (like he forgets what prescription meds he is allergic to). He also hates making calls for appointments or anything really. He is a perpetual child in that sense and I refuse to do it for him because I am his GF, not his mom.

I sometimes make my bf make appointments for me, but that's usually when he fucks up and double books us for appointments across town...XP Or doesn't want to take me and I don't have someone I can call aside from a taxi or uber, which is kinda out of my price range. and there isn't a bus that comes by this part of town, I'd have to walk about 10 blocks to get to the bus stop that goes kinda close the hospital, and then another 4 blocks to transfer to the bus that actually goes the rest of the way. >_>; And I know that seems lazy, but the buses here run on "the hour" so if i have a 9am appointment, i'd have to catch the first bus of the day at around 6:30. And usually at that point in the day my bf is all "yeah we'll get you to your appointment"
and then later he's like...i don't wanna go sorry not going to take you.

Yeah, we're talking about two different scenarios. He is perfectly capable of making his own appointments and getting to them if I can't drive him. He does not need to be dependent on my schedule (I have the only car in the household). We are in an area where it is annoying to take public transportation (usually bus to subway situation) but runs often enough to be a non-issue. He just hates making phone calls. Like, if we need to call to order food, I have to be the one to call. Or for all the work we are having done on the house, it's his parents who call and make appointments.
I mean, that sucks that he kind of back pedals on providing transportation. If I tell my bf I'll take him, I usually do it unless something important comes up. He is also free to take my car if I didn't want to drive him.
We have a google calendar for appointments and stuff. It's just easier for us to keep track of everything.

We were using a google calendar to keep track of our stuff, but apparently mine disconnected from the share, so ALL of the appointments that I put in for myself, vanished, and even relogging into my gmail to fix it...didn't fix it. Like they were wiped clean somehow.
Also, I can't drive, or I would take myself. >-o but I am a) bad driver + b) driving scares me

I, personally, prefer using my physical planner. Google calendar frustrates me and it's easier for me to check so I don't double book pet sitting gigs. I also remember appointments better if I write them down vs typing. The other option is having an actual calendar hanging somewhere for appointments. That's what we do at work because otherwise we would be a bigger mess than we are.
