Than being ignored. It drives me nuts, especially when the person knows I REALLY want to talk to them, yet they pay no attention to me.

I didn't have anything to say to your message, so I didn't respond.
Yeah? Thanks, that's really nice of you. Really mature, too.

Anyway,
what is your biggest pet peeve?
do you have a lot of pet peeves?
do you ignore people often?
do you mind being ignored, or does it also make you mad?
if you make a mistake, do you apologize many times, or just once?
do you like strawberries?

Strawberries are in season; yay fer strawberries. o:

But yeah srsly. I know how you feel there. During English class I usually talk to the friend who sits on my left, and lyk srsly. We'll say something at a moderately loud volume and be ignored, regardless of how important it is to whatever discussion the class is having; and then some guy sitting across from us will make a stupid joke, and everyone will laugh simply because he has a class clown personality.
Being ignored is not fun. ):
I really hate it when people are being ignored, so I try my best to include them all in my conversation..cause I know how it feels to be left out sometimes...and it feels downright horrible.

But anyways, I don't have too many pet peeves, my list constantly changes for the situation. x'DD

pet peeves... I have this friend who always wants to put makeup on me, even in the middle of the night... i find that annoying...

:)

but to be honest, i dont have many peeves, except when my brother is around, then i have a lot.

Why yes, I love strawberries...

I usually just appologize the one time when i mess up, unless i dont apologize at all...

I don't try to ignore anyone... i would hope i dont do it often.

as for being ignored... well, if i'm trying to get someones attention, then i dont like it, but i like it any other time... :stare:

I try to apologize when I make a mistake, but most of the time it just gets brushed off and no one remembers that I did anything wrong.

My biggest pet peeve is when my boyfriend says "I don't know". x_x I was raised to work to find the answers to things I don't know, or I just ask, but he just says "I don't know" and leaves it at that. D: It just bugs me. Cuz he says it. Every. Day. >.<

Strawberries = win.

And if I get ignored, I don't mind it as much. I just ignore right back. =3

What's wrong with not responding to a message when you have nothing to say?
If someone sends me a message that just consists of "yeah i no" or other messages that require no response I just don't bother. It's a waste of my time and theirs.

Aside from that... I hate it when people tell me what to do. It makes me want to do the exact opposite. And usually, I do.

Ah, that would annoy me so much. I was in quite a few classes with more than one class clown. It was a disruption, and I wish they were kicked out.

Yeah, me too. I was always left out in school, but luckily I had a few friends that paid attention to me. :)

Ah, I have a friend kind of like that. She always wants to brush my hair and put it in a pony tail or whatever. Kind of annoying.

Oh man, I HATE being ignored. It happens to me all the time. Online, in real life, everywhere! x_X

But online it seems even more annoying to me. If you're going to be on a messenger, you're essentially telling people that you are available. So if I contact you, I'm assuming that you are available and going to speak to me! So when I talk to you and get no response, it pisses me off! And then they'll tell me "Oh, I walked away from the computer" or "I'm doing something else." So...put up an away message! Tell me you're busy! Don't pretend to be available. I'm fine with you telling me that you can't talk, but flat out not responding to me and ignoring me ticks me off more than anything! I have a few people that I've had real issues about that with. I've since stopped talking to them because every time I confront them about ignoring me, they have an excuse and then they just proceed to do it again the next time. It's really not worth my blood pressure going through the roof like that. x_x

That is a huge pet peeve of mine and yes, I probably have too many.

I don't like to repeat myself, but if I'm feeling especially remorseful, I'll repeat myself ad nauseum. "I'm sorry...I'm soo sorry! I feel so terrible! I'm sooooooorry!"

I do like strawberries ^_^!

Gah. That's the worse.

I have this thing for sensing if people are listening when I'm talking to them (probably everyone has it). Lately I've been "toned out" by my mother when I'm talking to her. It's frustrating. I'd be talking to her and then she'd start to look completely distracted so I just stop talking mid sentence. AND SHE DOESN'T NOTICE. And of course, she starts out on some other topic. When she's talking, you have to pay attention or it'll get really noisy.

*Shakes head.*

People who don't pay attention are just...blah.

Strawberries are yum. I'd like to eat more strawberries compared to now. ^w^

i know exactly what you mean. my boyfriend ignores me all the time he gets distracted way too easily so there is no point in trying to talk to him when he is watching tv or playing videos game etc. it makes me soooo angry when he does that. and then when i finally get his attention after asking him a question a third or fourth time he acts like he already answered me and i wasn't paying a attention.

it is definitely one of my biggest pet peeves.

i try not to ignore people i don't think i do it that often except when im purposely ignoring my bf.

...i love strawberries!

I biggest pet peeve is having my stuff moved without my consent, that and being touched without my consent; even just being tapped or bumped into I really dislike. I don't know why, I just have this circle that people cannot enter without me giving them permission. I have more pet peeves like accidentally forgetting something and having to go back and get it or having to repeat myself. I also, like many others hate being ignore or not acknowledged =/

I have more pet peeves, but I can't really name them at the moment XD

Mmmm strawberries... Unfortunately we only have cherries but they're good too. =3

I have many, many pet peeves since I am generally a very picky, spiteful person. ^^ I have no problem admitting that though.

I suppose I do, like when I'm playing a game or drawing and someone I don't really want to talk to IMs me I'll respond more and more slowly until I just stop responding... Or when they just plain annoy me.

But I absolutely despise being ignored. I also get very pushy when I think I might be being ignored. There are several people who can attest to this, I take it as a personal attack. ^^;

And when it comes to apologizing... It really depends on the situation. How bad the mistake was, who I would have to apologize to, whether or not I actually felt I was wrong... On the usual I would probably say I apologize once and if they don't accept it then tough for them. ^^

I know alot of people like that!!

"So then I left and came home and laid down for awhile and now I'm online talking to you!"

Nothing for 10 minutes..

"UH HELLO!?" > "What D:" > "Did you die or something? Why didn't you reply" > "I didn't have anything to say about that" > "I hate you so much you know that right?" > "ilu though"

I hate my online friends sometimes...

I find clingy people bother me and people who don't realise I have other things going on in my life.
That's why I disabled my messengers. People would just talk constantly about nothing >.<
I'd sign in :
"'sup?"
... erm... I've just got here, leave me alone so I can check my emails >.<
"r u there???"
... yes, but I'm wishing I wasn't
"WHY ARE YOU IGNORING ME!!!???"
...because you're a pain in the arse and I'd rather gouge my eyes out with a spoon than talk to you
"WAHHHHH!"
>.<
If only people had let me finish what I was doing, then I'd talk to them, but no, they all want it done yesterday. Nevermind that other people have lives and other things going on in them @.@
So after a few months of that I just deleted all my messengers and found my life a lot less stressful <3
I figured if other people are going to be all "Me Me Me" all the time, I would be selfish too.

Okay...why is it immature to not respond when someone doesn't know what to say? =/

Just because someone didn't respond doesn't mean they're ignoring you. It usually means they simply don't know what to say. What do you mean 'it wasn't a message like that?' People can be at a loss of words for all messages. Let's face it, we're not all fountains of knowledge and we're not all going to have a response for everything. We're human, not robot.

I think it's more immature to be bitchy to someone for having nothing to add than having nothing to add in the first place. No offense to some of the people in this thread, but everyone else has a life too. They don't always know what to say to you, or have the time to respond to you. That's life. Think about how they feel. Would you want to be bitched at for not being at everyone else's beck and call every day? xD

I understand really wanting to talk to someone and having no one to talk to can make you feel pretty crappy, but you have to understand that other people have things to deal with too. D=

If I knew that someone was seriously ignoring me, I might be a little upset. That is, if I actually saw them sometime during the day, in real life, and they were ignoring me. It would depend on just who it was if I minded it or not. For example, if it was someone I knew but wasn't really close with, like a friend of a friend, it wouldn't bother me much. If a close friend was ignoring me though, I'd be upset that they couldn't confront me with whatever is wrong and decided to clam up instead. Someone on the internet 'ignoring' me wouldn't bother me much. It may be a bit disappointing if I thought the subject was a good one, but I can get over that kind of thing easily. As for apologies, it would depend on how bad I messed up. If I did something really bad, I probably wouldn't stop apologizing until they duct-taped my mouth shut. If it was something small though, one apology will do.

A pet peeve of mine is when I'm trying to sleep and someone keeps calling me. If I don't answer the first time, I'm not available. Don't keep calling me, or I'll think something is seriously wrong and when I answer the phone and you just ask me 'what's up?' I'm probably seriously thinking about driving to your house to kick your butt. xD Another one that bugs me even when it's done to other people, is when someone disagrees and goes about a calm way of expressing it, but someone else will come in and say, "Calm down, man! It's not that serious!" This especially bugs me in debate forums. You're supposed to talk about why you disagree there! D=

Hm, one thing that annoys the hell out of me (and is pretty damn funny) is when people take a shower or wash dishes, or anything with water, and get it on the floor or counters. I mean, come on people. yeah, I know it's just water, but clean up your messes. If you drip on the floor after your shower, would it kill you to get a small towel and wipe it up. Or when you do dishes and you splash water all over the counter, you can't get a paper towel and clean that up.

Oh, and speaking of bathrooms, what is it with men never wanted to flush the toilet. Do you guys like to look in and see your pee floating around, or are you all just gross. I hate that so much. My ex boyfriend only did it as my house, like he was afraid to flush it. I mean, we are clean unlike public bathrooms.

- Groans angerily - Lol. I hate it when people "ignore" me too. I'm very impatient, and need an answer right away. And if they're thinking, they can at least say hold on. Or something. >.> Um... lets see. I also have a pet peeve with people just up and using my shit. I mean, if they ask, I don't have a problem. I usually let them use my stuff if they ask. But just up and using my stuff, assuming I'm going to let them use it... GRR!

And do I ignore people... No. If I don't wanna talk, I say I'm busy or something. And with finals coming up next week, I usually am doing something.

And strawberries... YUMM!
Strawberries sound REALLY good right now. Thanks!

We have the same pet peeves. My sister and step brother are guilty of using my stuff without asking. It wouldn't be such a big deal if I had money to buy the stuff they use when I run out, though.

Exactly. A few of my friends are like that. They'll leave their status as online, but go off and do something else, then come back later. Just change your status if you're going to leave for more than a few minutes, eh?!

Totally agreed on the being ignored thing. Even in real life, its frustrating. But I have to deal with it.. everyone ignores me anyway ^^;
another pet peeve would be when people ask me stupid questions that totally show their lack of knowledge about things outside their world.
Ie: "Does china have electricity?" or "You live in china? Yeah i've been in Tokyo."
-_- seriously. Of course it does. It really bugs me that people are just so ignorant of other countries (especially the country i currently live in) and keep insisting that its the way they hear it.
(does this even make sense? sorry if it doesnt)

I apologize a lot. Too much, apparently. I cant help it. It has become a habit :P

Loove strawberries <3

I hate it so much when people interrupt in Chorus, at school.
I myself love to sing, and believe that music is the best subject in school.
In fact, I believe that music is LIFE.
What makes me angrier, is that some of the people who choose to goof off and be obnoxious can sing REALLY GOOD! D:
I mean..they're really really good! If they'd just quit being idiots in class and pay attention, then my time and everybody else's wouldn't be wasted.
Time is of the essence, especially when you're trying to learn anywhere from 3-6 songs for a concert.

My biggest pet peeve is a work situation.

When I start bagging grocery and then, three bags into the order, a woman glare at me from her cell phone, and says loudly "I wanted paper in plastic" So I ask "' sorry did you ask for it?and id didn't hear you?" She reply "No I figured you would know that, I shop here once a month"

Sigh, in head, Lady I see thousands of people every week, if I remember your preference it is not because you made a good impression on me, it is because every week you have pissed me off enough that I have grown to hate you. " would you like me to rebag this stuff?" "Yes" into to phone" I'll have to call you back this cashier is not doing her job"

Apearantly reading your mind is part of my job. This happens almost verbatim once a week or so, if not daily.

Ohh and if you just use paper with out being asked the boss yells at you for creating shrink. Its a lose lose situation.

Thanks for letting me get that off my chest, I feel better now.

The only thing I hate the most is igronance. I mean, come on. It's really sad how people throw out advice and give out there own. I don't care if your super old and wise, you still need advice. I know that I need tons of advice, but yeah I'm just insane like that. For all the people in the world that think they know everything...double check yourself before giving anymore advice. I appoligize if I offend anybody here...but I'm typing what's on my mind. People shouldn't be this ignorant. For the people who are saying you take advice, then this shouldn't offend you, unless you just don't like me.

I agree with you. But like I said, it wasn't that kind of conversation.

See, I said something I shouldn't have, he got pissed off and left. I sent him a message. He didn't respond, I sent him another message, he responded to my second message with that.
