Character name: Alexa (Lexa for short)
Appearance: Lexa stands at approximately five foot ten. She has long brown hair that is usually pulled back into a pony tail, and dark brown eyes.

As a tall brunette Lexa wasn't quite sure if she'd be able to meet someone that was decent enough for her, though it wasn't due to he hair color but rather her height. She stood at approximately five foot ten and most of the guys she met were an inch or two shorter than her, going against her wishes for a guy taller than her. Then she'd met him... he was different. It had been one of those really dull nights during work at the bar and she was tending the bar. She was wearing the uniform now of black pants and an 'attractive' top that usually got men to by more drinks because they were disappointed when she turned them down.

As usual she had a few customers that were a bit too nice to her but he stuck out because he'd asked some questions that weren't just about what she looked like. That's the entire reason that they'd started dating and now he visits her while she's working and provides good conversation when the crowd is gone.

At the present moment she was working, her dark brown eyes scanned the room for anyone stragglers from the dinner rush. She'd be working till one today and she was not looking forward to it. If he didn't show she'd have no conversation and he was a bit late tonight.

He slipped though the door quietly, there was no need to scan the room in search for the person he was after, she would always be behind the bar. His yet black hair framed his face perfectly, his smile brightening his entire face, yet still keeping the somewhat cold handsome look he had been born with.

Although there was no set time for him walking through that door there did tend to be a window where he would come, yet today he was outside of that window. Later. There was no reason for it really, well, no reason he would tell her. Emory would simply blame it on looking in the mirror for too long, she knew that he could be a little side tracked by how he looked.

Lexa's smile brightened slightly when she saw him walk in. He was later than usual but it could be expected at times, he always had a justifiable reason for being late. She seemed to almost melt for a moment but was snapped out of it when a customer asked for a beer.

She became more aware of herself at that moment, self-conscious as to her actual appearance and she placed a hand on her sternum to hide the slight amount of cleavage that was showing at the moment. After getting the beverage she fixed him the usual and seemed to relax a bit.

There was something different about him though, he seemed a bit more upbeat for a reason. A few doubts ran through her mind but she quickly brushed them away since she knew he was 'loyal' to her and he wouldn't lie to her. Essentially she was blindly hoping that it wouldn't happen again. One of her last boyfriends had cheated on her and she'd caught him in the act. She could remember how it felt and that was why she tried not to let it impede on her relationships, and none of her friends knew either... that is except for the ex-friend who was with the ex-boyfriend at the time. It was way too complicated.

He took the seat just to her left as normal. "Hello babe." He greeted her in the usual style though the smile he used was slightly different from usual, not so sweet more cheeky. "Sorry about the time, my hair wasn't going right." He said with a chuckle, brushing the fringe from his eye to expose both stone eyes.

Did he have anything to hid? Not really. If she were to ask directly he'd give her the truth, afterall it wasn't that big of a deal. Nor would anything become a big deal from it. Or maybe if he was lucky it would. A bright grin took a hold of his face as he looked at Lexa. He never had any luck before, why would now be any different?

She blushed slightly at first when he said hello. He must be honest if he treated her like that. "Well you didn't do a very good job because you still have a bit sticking up in the back," she commented in a slightly flirtatious tone before ruffling his hair gently, but not enough to mess it up. She'd done this because she was starting to notice a difference. Everyone changed though so she was just accepting it as change from now.

"How was your night?" she asked after a moment. Some of the other customers were already occupied so it was easier if she just talked straight to him. Some nights she didn't have this chance but she was glad that she did now.

He laughed as she ruffled his hand, his hands running over the back of his hair after hers had lifted. It was true he was a little hair obsessed, but he couldn't stand the thought of looking bad in public. Emory then passed a smile up to her.

"Pretty boring." He lied seemlessly. "Watched some film that was on TV, it was pretty boring." To be honest tonight he'd of preferred it to be one of those nights where they both got to say a line and between that she'd have to deal with someone's order.

"I'm sorry to hear that," Lexa said sympathetically. "I would have spent some time with you if I hadn't been working." She was a bit disappointed that he'd had a boring night.

One of the only other people there wasn't even wanting any more drinks that night. He just sat there. A co-worker of hers that worked as a waiter approached slowly. His name was Andy and he'd had a few suspicions about Emory from the beginning.

"Aww don't worry, you were working." Work, one of the things that kept their timetables apart. He worked at a local car maintance shop during the spare day hours and weekends where as she worked nights.

Out of instint the boy turned his head, assuming that the footsteps would continue until they reached the bar then start once they had left. However this time it was that guy that got right under Emory's skin yet he had a hard time picking out exactly why. Nevertheless he flashed the waiter a smile before turning back the Alexa. "So how's the night been for you?"

"Pretty boring," Andy said in a mocking tone. "Just served people their drinks and food... wish I could have been watching a movie at home." He grinned slightly as he watched Emory, waiting for slightest bit of reaction from him.

Lexa just frowned at him for being so rude. It was at that point that the customer wanted something to drink so she had to walk over and hear what he wanted.

He laughed at her comment "I'm sure it would of been just as boring." He managed to slip in just before she was called for. Part of him wondered if he were meant to give a bigger reaction but in the end the laugh was the only thing that had come.

Emory watched his girlfriend walk away, his eyes still on her instead of turning to the rest of the room. It would of been easier to turn away if he didn't remember the annoying waiter who was drawing up somewhere behind him.

"What would you like?" Lexa asked the customer. After he'd answered she turned slightly to fill the order. It was still a ways away from her boyfriend and her co-worker.

"I have a warning for you," Andy said as he sat down next to Emory. "If you ever cheat on her and she finds out, or I find out, you'll lose her and possibly break at least two limbs. I'd be careful if I were you."

Emory rolled his eyes. Oh great. A warning. "I don't know what it is with you." He replied in a bored tone. "Honestly, just get over that she's with me and not you. The better man won." He was happy with his overall reply, it didn't adress again the other man had said but not in a noticable way. Giving his head one of those quick flicks to make his fringe move a fraction from his eye once again.

Andy displayed no reaction but left when he noticed that Lexa was coming back over. He hated Emory, his entire exist was disgusting in his opinion. He was hoping to god that he was wrong about him, mostly for Lexa's sake. He could not stand to see her crushed again.

When Lexa had reached him again she smiled gently at him. She'd been contemplating changing her schedule so she could see him in the afternoon and evening. She surprise him someday and he'd be shocked.

The stone cold eyes watched the man leave, lingering on the figure for a few seconds. He'd done nothing as of yet to even raise the question of if he had cheated or not yet still the guy kept on. It was enough to put you off of someone, Emory thought cooly before turning back.

Automaticly returning the smile he began to think of what to say. After letting a few seconds run pass he opened his mouth slowly "Want to go out some time? Just me and you." He added, not wanting it to seem as if he was inviting her out with his friends.

"Well I don't have to work tomorrow," she said with a smile. "I'm open to going out anywhere really." She was smiling with a hint of a secret behind her innocent expression. She reached her arms out slightly so that she was leaning over the counter. It was a ploy she'd been taught and she was doing it without realizing it. Her low cut shirt was showing of some cleavage that might be found attractive to some people.

"Then I'm sure we can work something interesting and fun out to do." He couldn't help but smirk ever so slightly however his eyes only wondered briefly to her cleavage, he was more of a face, neck and hips, legs guy so the rest really didn't matter much to him as long as it compliment the natural figure. Emory leaned across the bar, filling the short distance between them and gently pressed his lips against hers. There was nothing which stopped them 'showing attaction' at her work place as such.

She felt a shiver rise her spine as their lips touched. It always happened for her. She was so interested in him that it was beyond imaginable that she should have him. She smiled before kissing him back. As they parted she winked at him before walking back to serve a customer that had just come in, making exaggerated movements as she walked. She was wearing shorts too so it accentuated her legs.

He smiled at her wink, nothing tended to last that long here, then again she was working. His eyes automaticly dropped down to her hips working their way all the way down and back up to her face intently. Though it could be seen as shallowness he quite liked a woman to look good. In the same way he liked to look good. A finger ran across his down lip as if wiping away the ghost of the kiss.

She knew he had been admiring her but she only did this so that he wouldn't do anything to drastic since their works schedules didn't work out. She'd have a surprise for him in the next couple of weeks though since she was asking for the night off so she could be with him at that point. She was hoping that it would surprise him and she knew her co-worker, Andy, would never tell Emory that, mostly because Andy did not trust Emory and Andy liked, or rather loved, Lexa since the first day he met her.

Emory smiled as a few people brushed past him in an attempt to a, get towards the door or b, get nearer to one of the bar maids. He'd often wonder why he even bothered coming during her work hours, every moment was uninterrupted and there was too many people around to step too far out of line. Afterall he cared about his public appearance and how he seemed. He cast his stony eyes around the room slowly, running every persons outline.

It happened rarely but when one of the drunk college students began hitting on her she looked ticked off. She did not want her night ruined at this point. She was anxious because her imagination was going wild at this point. The manager would be in soon and would probably be the one to tell the person to get away. She glanced at Emory though, hoping that he'd help her in some way or another. If not than she would assume his interest in someone else was not unfounded.

His eyes completely another circuit of the surrounding people, his ears tuning into more than three conversations, unsure of exactly which he wanted to listen to. There wasn't usually anything interesting in here. He cast 'his girl' a small glance, the uninteresting look turning to one of question.

To quick to forgive, is what her friends said she was. She blindly offered forgiveness in mutiple situations without realizing the dangers. It was quite literally her only flaw. She smiled at him, he was her's at the moment. The sweet and beloved Emory. Her co-worker scowled at her before turning to work the rest of the bar. Another girl would be coming in shortly to do some waitress duty, someone who'd had their eye on Emory but since Lexa had snatched him she'd ignored him.

He offered a small smile before turning back to look at the rest of the room, assuming she could handle the drunk just fine by herself. If he had been one to keep an eye on time he would of seen who was soon to come onto the scene and would of began to prepare some things to say however, he wasn't an eye on the clock person and preferred to be that way. Emory gave his fringe a half hearted push from his eyes with a short sigh that meant nothing.

"Please miss," the drunk said with a slight slur. "I'd like to take you out. Please, I most certainly adore you."
His hand had reached for her since she'd come out of the bar for a moment to bring a drink to someone. It made her stumble into the person and she struggled to get away but he didn't let go, trying to kiss her.
"Let go please."
