I'm finding myself bored here... I'm lurk through the forums and wow, I'm disappointed. We're meant to be a creative bunch of people and this is what we come up with?

Sure I could post five paragraphs on how I like to cook toast but really, who cares? I feel like Mene's General discussion needs some life and imagination injected into it because right now, we're boring.

Am I alone? Could I really be the only one to feel this way? I don't think so!

So lets put our heads together and think of some great stuff to discuss! (Like David Tennant and the TARDIS lol)

I've noticed that too

another thing is the art section.. they seem to only REALLY pay attention to chibi/anime art which seems really unfair to me as a lot of good art is being passed by unnoticed and undiscussed.

Chyeah. I haven't seen anything really interesting to post in. And the few threads that I get interested in usually get abandoned..

It's turned out that the only threads I go to are in the word game forum, but it's pointless to post there since you don't get gold for posting.

Bleh, everything here is too expensive considering how hard it is for me to get gold.

How about instead of making threads that are compliaining about how other people's threads are, you make interesting threads.

If you feel that way, make up a thread of your own that's "creative."
Otherwise, shut up. :] A person only has the right to complain about a situation
if they have at least tried to fix said problem.

To be honest, almost every forum is a bit boring, you create topics and yet no one finds interest in them. Whats the point of posting a topic if no one else is gonna post in it? Its happened on my main account a lot...

I can't find any good threads to post in. All the threads are somewhat old and have tons of posts. All the other threads are not interesting or creative. D:

telling someone to shut up for voicing their opinion is uncalled for. She wasn't complaining but trying to get more new threads started so we ALL could benefit from them.

Also if you go and look around you'll notice that she did create new threads to help out. she wasn't nit-picking current users, she was only saying that we needed some new interesting threads because we're all posting on the same thread day in and day out, we need something fresh to keep ourselves active and occupied.

Read the bottom of her post and you'll see that she includes herself in the scenario. She wasn't being mean or trying to be rude, she was only trying to help.

and before you get mad I'm not trying to be mean but telling someone to shut up when they're trying to help out and encourage new threads for everyone to enjoy is just rude. I'm just pointing out some facts you might have missed. Maybe you misunderstood her post?

I actually have, but for some reason, like everyone else has been mentioning they get over looked for the more generic posts.

Considering the amount of replies agreeing with me it doesn't seem like I'm the only one feeling this way. I hope it means that we can band together and get some creativity out there :)

I've really been trying and will continue to do so today :)

i don't mind anime/chibis, i find i have a strange fascination with anime eyes and i think chibis are adorable. I just wish people wouldn't focus so hard on them.

as for realistic art.. i'm soo not talented enough for that. I can do illustrations and a little pixel work and I can spin out glass graphics like nobody's business but i can't draw something that looks 'real' to save my life :P hehe

Yay flamee.
I'm not discouraging her to make changes, not am I specifically telling her to shut up. Maybe it didn't come across the way it seems to come across to me because I used the words so blatantly, but all I'm really saying is that if she wants to make a complaint then she better be part of the effort to fix this problem she presents.
Yes, I saw that she did create two(or more, I saw two) threads. One was a pretty good one... the So bored not so much, but that's completely besides the point.
Guess I was being harsh or my wording just didn't work... around here, things phrased like that aren't taken so offensively as your reaction showed me.

i'm not mad, i just figured you misunderstood her post and got mad at her so i was trying to explain her post (i know her pretty well and we discussed the issue beforehand). must have been the wording of it.

so neither of us are being mean, nuff said but i'm still not hugging you because you might bite me :P

I've noticed menewsha hasn't really been growing in terms of members in a really longwhile. To me I think that's part of the problem because more people are leaving/hiatus/etc then joining so it seems.

xD I remember making threads in general discussion
which surprisingly lasted for weeks to months,
because people seem to really enjoy the discussions.
But I figured it was best to let them die
and give other people the chance
to use the space to discuss
whatever they want to discuss,
even if it's only something like
"how's the weather in your place today?"

It's like a huge room of brainstorming,
where people come sprouting out
the best to the most random topics.

I think I like it better this way,
because that provide the forum
with different level of discussions
where not all are serious,
super interesting,
or with heavy discussion materials,
since even the simplest one can be entertaining
when you're in super bored mode
and just want to talk about anything. xD

Hm.. I rarely go to the General Discussion forum, so I don't know what goes on in there. xDD I have been there a couple times, but the place never has any... discussion? Say like, someone comes up with a topic, and they have all the spoons for people to answer, ect. But after people post their opinions and all, most of them just leave. >< Basically, people don't reply to others' posts, except for the thread creator. xDD And I don't really think it's much about the "interesting" topics... I guess people just look for the topics that they can relate to? ^^;

Showing my age and all, I must say Tom Baker will always be the face a bring to mind when I think the Doctor. Not that the new ones aren't totally awesome, but yeah, I guess it is true, you never forget your first.

I would say he was my first too. I don't think I was older enough to see him first time around but he is the first I remember from the re-runs... I don't know, too weird for me :D

In a different kinda weird than Tennant :P
