Jake noticed Alessandra walking by. He smiled and grabbed his backpack and opened the door a crack peeking out at her. But then he noticed a lizard crawling on the floor next to him "AAAHHH!" jake screamed out and flung open the door then ran out slamming the door behind him " LIZARD!!!" He ran toward Alessandra.

Alessandra jumped and started running after that since someone was running towards her. She paused to glance at him and stopped when she saw him. She stopped where she was after that, letting herself catch her breath.

"I'm sorry," she said. "I didn't know it was you. I thought someone was going to attack me again."

Jake stop running and was breathing hard " Oh.....no.....there was just...a lizard.." He laughed a bit then began walking with Alessandra " your safe now that i'm here!" he glanced around. " Well i dont see any scary guy around. By the way did your parents suspect anything last night?" he looked at Alessandra in concern.

"Actually I told them I made a new friend and my mother wants to meet you. My father is more of the angry one in the whole situation," he said with a laugh. "It's good to know there was no one dangerous around here." She hugged him then to thank him.

Jake blushed a little bit then smiled " Hey it's no problem!" he wasn't all that thrilled to meet her mom but yet nervous. He looked down a bit and thought "Ok so after school when I walk you home should i come in and meet her then?" He put his hands in his pockets and looked at her.

"I think she wouldn't mind that," Alessandra said with a smile. "She's very nice you know, not at all frightening like my father. I'll call her during lunch and see if she's okay with that."

Jake sighed out a sign of relief. " Well thats good to know" Jake smiled. Jake noticed their schools coming up ahead. And also a guy, it looked like the one from yesterday but he wasn't sure. Jake suddenly held Alessandra's hand then talked really loud " Yea, I just got my black belt in karate!" The guy passed them without even looking.

"I thought you said you didn't know Karate," Alessandra whispered when they were a distance away from the guy. She'd drawn closer to him when he'd held her hand, a bit frightened at first but then relaxed.

Jake laughed a bit " It was only to scare that guy away." Jake smiled. Walking pass Jake's school , he looked at it everyone was in class already. They were know in front of Alessandra's school.
" Well this is it! I'll see you after school ok? Stay safe till then!" Jake leaned in and hugged her.

"All right," she said. She accepted the hg but then bolted inside afterward since she would once again be late to class. She'd woken up on time but apparently she hadn't quite made it down the street fast enough. When she got into the class the teacher gave her a warm welcome. It was almost work time so the teacher then quickly explained to her that her mother had called her in stating that'd she'd be late to school today.

Jake ran off to class slamming the door open with teacher looking at him "uh, my dad was in the hospital." Was his excuse, for him it sounded fishy but it worked. He sat in his seat and began to read the board for his assignment.

The school hours went by fast, well for him. He had ran out of class even before the bell rang. Walking quite fast out of the school building down the street to Alessandra's school hoping to be there before they let them out.

He got there pasting back and forth out of her school, looking at his watch.

Her last hour teacher kept her late and was explaining something to her. After she was dismissed though she walked calmly outside to avoid getting attention or creating an suspicion. A few of her friends waved to her before she managed to get to the school gates where Jake was now walking.

"Hey," she said with a smile. "I'm sorry I'm late. I had to get something explained to me."

Jake looked up and smiled " Oh it's ok! So did you get a chance to call your mom?" Jake flipped his hair out of his left eye and started walking with Alessandra.

"Yeah I did and she's interested in meeting you," Alessandra said with a smile. She was wondering why he kept flipping his hair out of his eyes when he could just get a hair cut. She wouldn't ask though because thatwould most likely be rude and possible offensive.

Jake looked down " That's good..." He was quite nervous meeting Alessandra's Mother and hoped that her father wouldn't be there but he knew that he had to meet him too sometime...

"You'll be fine," Alessandra assured. "She's quite nice and my father went on a business trip this morning." She was nervous actually because her mother had been supportive but she wasn't always serious in her support, she was most of the time though.

" Oh ok good." Jake calmed down and smiled " So how was school?" He began to hold Alessandra's hand

Alessandra had taken her hand away almost instinctively, giving him a confused glance. She didn't think she was sending that kind of message out at the moment. She shrugged to answer his question as he crossed her arms over her chest.

"It's was all right, I guess," she said. "My mother called me in so I didn't get a detention today. One more time that I'm late and I'll get a detention slip."

Detention was a joke for the most part though. Most of the time you just sat there and talked to whoever else was in there, or doing some homework. It just depended on who the teacher was. If it was Mrs. Lawrenson then you'd be silent, sitting still, and somehow working at the same time. If it was Mr. Quincy then you could do whatever you want, unless it wasn't permitted on the school property in the first place.

Jake put his hands in his pockets " Oh, um thats good." he smiled a little smile. " For me it was just a typical day..."

Jake was trying to figure out what exactly her type of girl was like. He was always the quite one that hid himself from expressing his real self. He's been so alone....

Alessandra shivered as a cool wind blew by, messing her hair up a bit. Her bag was a bit heavier today and the walk back to her house seemed to be taking forever for some reason. She'd glanced at him when she'd noticed the movement.

"Typical day..." she said with a nod. "I didn't know there was such thing."

" Well for me a typical day is just like any other day, unless i meet someone special or i do something special..." He looked ahead and saw alessandra's house. It looked like the walk from here to there was forever.

Jake thought about buying Alessandra a present, but he didn't know if she would accept it.

Alessandra was growing impatient to get home and the silence between the two wasn't helping much. She wasn't sure what to say due to the fact that she mostly talked about fashion and music, and she wasn't quite sure if he had enough money to afford some of the fashion or music things that she adored so much.

Jake became more nervous due to the silence from both of them. " uh....great day we're having!" Jake turned his head to the side and whispered " Great day we're having!? great now she's gonna think i'm some kinda of stupid cheesy guy!" he hoped he wasn't talking to loud to himself he would have been embarrassed if Alessandra heard him...

((I'm not a big holiday person but yep it is the fourth and no they don't change it any of the states... that would just be weird o.O))

Alessandra had heard the first comment but when he whispered she was perplexed. It could mean a number of things and she grew anxious. She was always fixated on impressing people and if he wasn't the least bit impressed by her she would have to try tens times harder. She could just ask him though and then maybe that would clear up all the suspicions.

"Did you say something," she asked.
