Hello. I am not to letmy name to people, but I have a personal question for ladies (or even males) who might know the answer to my troubles. You see, last night while taking a shower and while cleaning a certain area (I think you know where I am talking about), I felt a small little bump. It is on what is called the "Labia Majora" or the outer lips of that area. Well, it's not a large bump, but a little one. I was trying to feel if it might be just an irriated hair growing back or something, but it wasn't. I figured it was nothing and it would go away. I woke up this morning, and felt to be sure...but it was still there. It hurt me all day long while my pants moved when I walked. Sitting and walking were uncomfortable since it pushed against the spot.

My major problem is I am too nervous to call a gyno and ask them about this, especially since the gyno I have now makes me majorly uncomfortable everytime I talk to her. And I am too scared to show my mother. I wanted to get my father's girlfriend (who used to care for people in this area) to take a look, but the idea of her looking at me got me antsy and grossed out. I don't know what it might be and I am getting more and more scared.

If I do not find out what it might be and if it doesn't go away in a day or so, I am making an appointment with my gyno (hoping just a nurse will deal with me and not my gyno). But I am asking help of those who may know a little more. Any idea what this might be?

Well, you don't have to necessarily SHOW your mother or you dad's girlfriend. You can just describe it. They might be able to tell you "Oh, yeah, that's nothing." or "You should get that checked out."

Also, are you sexually active?
Just in case, always wash your hands after touching it. Do NOT touch anything else. Just in case it's herpes, you don't want to spread it to your mouth or your eyes.
But if it's just ONE bump, I doubt that it's herpes. But you still should wash your hands. ^^

Well, I would explain it to them except it is a little hard to explain. I looked at it and it looks like a little red bump and it feels like maybe something is stuck under the skin, though I know there is nothing stuck under there as far as a foreign object. And as for sex...I was sexually active not too long ago, but not anymore since the guy I was able to do it with and I broke up.

It could just be a irritated hair that hasnt hit the surface yet.
Or maybe just a pimple. I mean i know it sounds gross but you cant get pimples anywhere and it could just be one that hurts.

I have had them on my face where it would hurt in a area until the pimpled accured. Luckily i dont get achne alot lol i cant even spell that right.

It might be a zit.

Disgusting, I know, but I had a zit there once or twice.

Like everyone else said it's probably a pimple. But if it doesn't go away in a week, I would definitely call the doctor.

First bit of advice get a new gyno, second, go talk to her. This may be nothing, ingrown hairs do happen, or this could be VERY bad. Hate to say it, but you are gonna have to pul it together and and go talk to a medical professional. Remember they have heard it all before, and there is no reason to be embarrassed.

However even if this is nothing, you really need to get a gyno you can trust. Health in "that" area is very important for not just you, but also for anyone you are with, and any children you might have.

I would try to talk to your dad's girl friend about getting a new gyno.
