Well, yeah, for one.
DC is the only pet site I know of that puts a time limit on the pets.
Other reasons:
On Magi, there are a few click threads that are so active that it doesn't take long at all to grow your pets, so the one on Mene is kind of redundant for that purpose.
On Valenth, again, people can make their own click threads, and Valenth also is very largely based on forum RP, so for loyal Valenthians, there's no need to come here for any RP or clickage.

That's as may be, and each to their own.
But for me, the time limit makes it a virtual impossibility for me to bother with it, as much as I'd like it to be otherwise.
I have two jobs, a love life that comes with two cats, and a family to keep in touch with, so I'd rather not have the worry that my pixels are going to die.

I'm glad there are sites like Soti that offers an emergency room for those eggs and hatchlings that haven't been able to get enough views or clicks.

I liked the time limit that came with DC, since it meant that my eggs would be adults within a week no matter what. With Magi sometimes it can take FOREVER if I'm not feeling very active. But I really don't mind not having a time limit as much as I thought I would, typically if I'm not around to get my babies grown up then I'm not paying enough attention to care.

I have no internet. It was supposed to be for only 3 days while they worked on the network, but now it's day 5 and it still isn't fixed. All the students in all of the dorms that are supposed to normally have internet are mad right now.
I'm at a cafe taking care of everything i need to (except my research project, which would take another hour of sitting here, and I would rather have been doing it at 4 in the morning when I first wake up). But I thought I should come say hi to y'all anyway.

Hello Everyone! I have to agree that I think the time limit gives it a more realistic feel.

My only wish on Dragon Cave right now is to be able to have an option to limit the amount of eggs I get when I breed my dragons...XD;

That would be a cool option.
I am fairly happy with Dragon Cave on the whole. But I have just gotten into it recently so I am sure I will find things that I would want changed soon enough.

The amount of eggs I get when breeding is the only thing I want changed at the moment, aside from the mountain of eggs blocking the cave all the time...

I hate my eggs leaking outside the scroll D: So if I can have an option to only have one egg whenever I breed, whether successful or not, would be awesome.

It's mainly my OCD at work. If one of my dragon's eggs gets leaked out, I release the entire lineage into the Wilderness. None of my dragons except the ones I bred myself have any parents.

@Fading: o.o how do you do that? Have it so you have a dragon that wasn't born? *confused*

That is a good question, how do you get an egg with no parents?

You just take it from the cave, don't you?

not the abandoned page, the cave as in the front page thing, where you can't tell what the egg looks like and have to read the descriptions. None of those dragons have parents. That would be so hard though to get all of your dragons from there and none from the AP.

@Lucifer- You can post your friend's here too. You're pretty much free to post whatever you need clicked in here, within reason of course.

@Lixlaria- Eggs from the main cave won't have parents. They probably will if you grab them from the abandoned page, though.

I like the time limit too, it does make you feel more responsible...but when you abandon a hatchling or egg, does the person who finds it have the same time limit?
