It is seriously depressing though - I'd never realized how awful Canada was. It's a serious shame.

I was researching it actually - I've never paid very much attention to the olympics, and from what I saw, we don't do that great. Although, we don't do so bad with the paralympic (however it's spelled) games. I have no idea what those are, except the word is farmiliar, but in any case, we do better there.

Meh, we don't have enough summer to be really good at the summer olympics, lol. And nope, no medals yet. I just looked =(

Paralympics are for handicapped people. So wheelchairs and so on ;)

yeah. a few of the girls look too young. i wouldn't be surprised after the olympics, the IOC actually announces the stuff or are looking into it now and just won't announce it till the very end.
gymnast i like- Shawn Johnson. reason- she's good, cute and not much shorter than me (POWER TO THE SHORT PEOPLE!!! :squee:) that and the blonde one from the us, the russian born girl (don't fee like looking for her name atm)

right now what bothers me is that on the balance beam, the one chinese girl got waaayyy too high of a score. she had a lot of issues with balance and yet she got a high score. >.<

And hey, maybe some asian kids just look younger than 16 when they are actually older? I always thought asian gymnasts looked younger than their real age. :3
Maybe because they are picked out to be gymnasts when they're very young, like when they are 3 years old. They start training a couple of years after that but they are raised on strict terms to become a gymnast.. well, thats only what I've heard.

EDIT: Well.. the gymnastics are on now. >.> on NBC here in Texas. And the Chinese girl, they said she looks like she just lost a baby tooth which would put her at like 9ish or maybe a lil older, but not much. My mom's convinced she's like 9 though.

Ah, well there you go. lol, but the results did look much better for those, for Canada anyways. It's a serious shame we're doing so awful. We are supposed to do better in the winter games, but I looked up the results for those too, and it wasn't much better. The best we've ever done was forever ago, and in the summer olympics.

Bleh, i am so tired. I think i'm gonna go brush my teeth and crawl in bed XD
